San Francisco Giants minor league pitcher Luis Custodio and free agent minor league pitcher Luis Sierra were handed 56-game suspensions apiece, Major League Baseball announced on Monday.

The two players allegedly tested positive for Stanzolol, a performance-enhancing drug in violation of minor league rules.

Custodio, 21, is on the roster of the Dominican Summer League Giants Black. He will begin his suspension to start the 2026 DSL season. Sierra, 20, will have to wait to begin his suspension until signing with a major league organization. He pitched last season for the Dominican Summer League Orioles Orange squad.

Neither player has recorded an appearance above the rookie level of the minor leagues.
