Wed Jan 21 2:22am ET
Field Level Media

Immanuel Quickley exploded for a career-high-tying 40 points, Scottie Barnes dropped in 26 and the Toronto Raptors took advantage of the absence of Jimmy Butler III to overpower the Golden State Warriors 145-127 in San Francisco on Tuesday night.

Butler sustained a torn ACL in Monday's home win over the Miami Heat, with the after-effects showing in a 41-28 Toronto blitz in the first quarter en route to a lead as large as 30 points.

But led by reserves Buddy Hield (25 p

oints) and Jonathan Kuminga (20), the Warriors rallied late to get within 125-116 before Golden State eventually caved to Toronto's high-efficiency offense, which had its highest-scoring game of the season.

Quickley hit 11 of his 13 shots and Barnes 12 of his 18 for Toronto, which connected on 59.3% of its attempts in the game and 61.8% of its 3-point shots. Brandon Ingram finished with 22 points and Sandro Mamukelashvili 14 for Toronto, which was making its second stop on a five-game western swing.

Lakers 115, Nuggets 107

Luka Doncic had 38 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists, and Los Angeles used a strong second half to beat host Denver.

LeBron James scored 19 points for Los Angeles, which rallied from 16 down. Marcus Smart added 15 points for the Lakers, who played the second half without Deandre Ayton after he sustained a left eye injury.

Jamal Murray had 28 points and 11 assists but had just two points in the second half when Denver was outscored 58-36. Peyton Watson and Aaron Gordon had 18 points each, Spencer Jones added 16 and Tim Hardaway Jr. contributed 10 for the Nuggets. Denver has lost two in a row after a four-game winning streak.

Suns 116, 76ers 110

Devin Booker scored 27 points and Jalen Green played for the first time in more than two months to lead Phoenix past host Philadelphia.

Green (hamstring), whose last game was Nov. 8, came off the Suns bench and played 20 minutes, scoring 12 points on 4-of-11 shooting. He was part of a strong effort by the Phoenix reserves, who placed four players in double figures, including Jordan Goodwin and Grayson Allen with 16 points apiece.

VJ Edgecombe had 25 points and Kelly Oubre Jr. notched 21 for Philadelphia, which played without Joel Embiid (ankle) and Paul George (knee). Tyrese Maxey shot just 7 of 25 en route to 20 points for the Sixers, who have lost four of their last six games.

Jazz 127, Timberwolves 122

Keyonte George scored a career-high 43 points and Jusuf Nurkic had his second career triple-double to rally Utah past Minnesota in Salt Lake City.

Nurkic finished with 18 rebounds, 16 points, and 10 assists for his first triple-double since 2019. Ace Bailey added 20 points while Isaiah Collier chipped in 18 points and 10 assists off the bench. Will Hardy earned his 100th career win as the Jazz head coach.

Anthony Edwards led Minnesota with 38 points. Julius Randle added 19 points while Jaden McDaniels chipped in 18 points and six assists. Donte DiVincenzo had a team-high eight assists to go along with 15 points. Naz Reid chipped in 13 off the bench.

Rockets 111, Spurs 106

Reed Sheppard scored 12 of his 21 points off the bench in the fourth quarter to help spark Houston to a comeback win over visiting San Antonio.

The Rockets erased a 16-point deficit en route to squaring the season series with the Spurs at a game apiece. Alperen Sengun posted 20 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists, while Durant added 18 points and seven assists. Amen Thompson posted 16 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for Houston.

After a scorching start from long range, the Spurs missed 31 of 37 3-pointers over the final three periods. Julian Champagnie led the Spurs with 27 points on 8-for-16 shooting from deep, while De'Aaron Fox and Victor Wembanyama scored 14 points apiece.

Bulls 138, Clippers 110

Coby White matched a season high with 27 points and Matas Buzelis added 21 as host Chicago defeated visiting Los Angeles, stopping the Clippers' six-game winning streak.

Seven players scored in double figures for the Bulls, who led by as many as 31 points on the way to their third win in four games. Chicago tied a franchise best with 25 3-pointers, sparked by a 6-for-10 showing from White. Nikola Vucevic had 19 points, Ayo Dosunmu followed with 18 and Tre Jones had a double-double of 15 points and 10 assists. Kevin Huerter scored 14 points and Jalen Smith had 10.

James Harden (24 points) and John Collins (23) paced the Clippers. Ivica Zubac registered a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds, Jordan Miller scored 12 points and TyTy Washington Jr. chipped in 11.

Heat 130, Kings 117

Bam Adebayo recorded 25 points, seven rebounds and five assists to help Miami post a victory over host Sacramento.

Norman Powell scored 22 points and Andrew Wiggins added 19, as Miami improved to 1-1 on a five-game road trip. Simone Fontecchio matched his career best of five 3-pointers while contributing 15 points and seven rebounds off the bench. Miami was a stellar 21-of-42 from 3-point range.

DeMar DeRozan scored 23 points and Russell Westbrook added 22 for the Kings, who lost their second straight game to fall to 4-2 on a seven-game homestand. Zach LaVine and backup Malik Monk each added 18 points, and Dylan Cardwell collected a career-best 12 rebounds for Sacramento.

Player Notes
Isaiah Hartenstein Wed Jan 21 7:30am

Oklahoma City Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein (calf) will miss his 13th consecutive game on Wednesday against the Milwaukee Bucks. He has yet to play in 2026 due to a right soleus strain. Oklahoma City's frontcourt may also be without Jaylin Williams (glute), who is considered questionable for Wednesday night. Kenrich Williams and Branden Carlson are looking at an opportunity to make larger contributions off the bench, but they aren't good fantasy options. Hartenstein's next chance to return will be on Friday against the Indiana Pacers. Given the lack of updates from the team, it wouldn't be surprising if Hartenstein remains out for the week.

Kevin Porter Jr. Wed Jan 21 7:20am

Milwaukee Bucks guard Kevin Porter Jr. (oblique) is questionable for Wednesday's tilt against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He may miss a meeting with the defending champions due to an oblique strain. Porter Jr. has had a productive year in Milwaukee, but he was dropped to the bench on Monday against the Atlanta Hawks after he had produced a zero-point outing in the previous game. Kyle Kuzma jumped to the first unit and had 10 points with two assists. If Porter Jr. can't play against the Thunder, Ryan Rollins' workload will likely increase, and Cole Anthony may get back into the rotation.

Myles Turner Wed Jan 21 7:20am

Milwaukee Bucks center Myles Turner (ankle) is considered questionable for Wednesday's matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He is on the injury report with a left ankle sprain. Turner recently missed his first game of the season due to illness. It has been a frustrating year for Turner, who has been limited to 10.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 0.7 blocks in January. Should Turner sit out on Wednesday night, Bobby Portis would be poised to take his place in the starting lineup, while Pete Nance and Jericho Sims could see extra minutes off the bench.

Jaylen Brown Wed Jan 21 7:00am

Boston Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown (hamstring) is listed as probable for Wednesday's game against the Indiana Pacers. The 2024 Finals MVP is expected to play despite experiencing tightness in his left hamstring. Brown recently missed one game due to a back issue. Since returning, he has averaged 33.3 points and 8.0 rebounds over three outings. Against Indiana, Brown has put up 30.5 points per game across two prior meetings in 2025-26, shooting an impressive 53.3 percent from the field.

Deandre Ayton Wed Jan 21 6:50am

Los Angeles Lakers center Deandre Ayton (eye) made an early exit against the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports. The big man was poked in the eye late in the second quarter and sat out the rest of the game. Ayton finished with four points and eight rebounds in 15 minutes. Jaxson Hayes and Drew Timme filled the gap at center in the second half. "He got poked in the eye," Lakers head coach JJ Redick said postgame. "He looks like a pirate. His eye is not in good shape, but we're hopeful that it's just the bare minimum -- just a poke in the eye -- and he'll be back tomorrow." The Lakers return to action on Thursday night against the Clippers. Although Redick seemed optimistic about Ayton's availability for the Clippers game, it wouldn't be a shock if he appeared on the injury report.

Steven Adams Wed Jan 21 6:50am

Houston Rockets center Steven Adams (ankle) has been ruled out indefinitely with a Grade 3 left ankle sprain. He was injured in Sunday's win over the New Orleans Pelicans. Josh Okogie started in Adams' place on Tuesday night against the San Antonio Spurs. He had a quiet outing with five points, one rebound, and one steal. Houston also brought Clint Capela back into the rotation, and the Swiss big man finished with six points and two rebounds in 12 minutes. With Adams on the shelf, Jabari Smith Jr. could also see time at the center position.

Immanuel Quickley Wed Jan 21 2:00am

Toronto's G Immanuel Quickley recorded a double-double, scoring 40 points with 10 assists in a 145-127 win over Golden State on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

Luka Doncic Wed Jan 21 2:00am

Lakers' G Luka Doncic recorded a triple-double, finishing with 38 points, 10 assists and 13 rebounds in a 115-107 win over Denver on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

Keyonte George Wed Jan 21 2:00am

Utah's G Keyonte George scored 43 points on 15-of-28 shooting in a 127-122 win over the Timberwolves on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

Jusuf Nurkic Wed Jan 21 2:00am

Jazz's C Jusuf Nurkic recorded a triple-double, finishing with 16 points, 10 assists and 18 rebounds in a 127-122 win over the Timberwolves on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

Kel'el Ware Tue Jan 20 8:40pm

Miami Heat center Kel'el Ware (hamstring) won't play on Tuesday versus Sacramento. He carried a questionable tag throughout the day. However, the 21-year-old will miss his first contest of the 2025 campaign because of hamstring tightness. Ware hasn't seen much action of late, averaging 20 minutes in January. Still, his absence should allow Nikola Jovic to see more action in a favorable matchup with the Kings.

Mark Williams Tue Jan 20 6:30pm

Amanda Pflugrad of 3TV Phoenix reports that Phoenix Suns center Mark Williams (injury management) will suit up Tuesday against the Philadelphia 76ers. Williams drops his questionable tag for the second set of a back-to-back after posting 16 points, eight rebounds, three blocks, and two steals over 29 minutes on Monday against the Nets. The 24-year-old big man could make his mark in fantasy as the Sixers will be without their star center, Joel Embiid (injury management), during tonight's clash.

Brice Sensabaugh Tue Jan 20 6:20pm

Utah Jazz forward Brice Sensabaugh (illness) is unavailable for Tuesday's matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Sensabaugh is under the weather and will miss his second straight game. Before his illness, the 22-year-old was coming off an impressive outing, finishing with 25 points, six rebounds and two assists across 30 minutes in a loss to Dallas on Saturday. While Senabaugh is out of action during tonight's game, Walter Clayton should continue to see an expanded role in the Jazz rotation.

De'Anthony Melton Tue Jan 20 6:00pm

Golden State Warriors guard De'Anthony Melton (knee) will play Tuesday against Toronto after sitting out the front end of the team's back-to-back set on Monday against Miami. The 27-year-old fantasy value will be trending upward as he is expected to have an expanded role for the foreseeable future with Jimmy Butler (knee) done for the season. Through eight games in January, Melton is averaging 15.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 steals in 22.4 minutes per outing.

Draymond Green Tue Jan 20 5:40pm

Golden State Warriors forward/center Draymond Green (ankle) is listed as questionable against the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday. Green is dealing with a right ankle sprain and missed Monday's matchup with the Heat. However, head coach Steve Kerr said that Green was likely to play on Tuesday. The Warriors frontcourt will already be shorthanded going into the contest with Al Horford (toe) out of action. Fantasy managers should expect Green to be good to go if able to get through warmups without any setbacks. Quinten Post and Trayce Jackson-Davis are candidates to see extended playing time with Horford out, and if Green is unable to play through the ankle pain.

Al Horford Tue Jan 20 5:30pm

Golden State Warriors center Al Horford (toe) is back on the injury report and won't play on Tuesday night against the Toronto Raptors. The 39-year-old has seen action in the last eight games, but he will be held out of the team's second set of a back-to-back due to management of a toe injury. With Horford sidelined and Draymond Green (ankle) listed as questionable, the Warriors could have a depleted frontcourt, so Quentin Post and Trayce Jackson-Davis will have to fill in the gaps during this evening's tilt.

Lauri Markkanen Tue Jan 20 5:10pm

Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen (illness) has been ruled out for Tuesday's matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves, marking his fifth straight absence due to an illness. His next chance to return comes on Thursday against the Spurs. With Brice Sensabaugh (illness) also sidelined for tonight's clash, 19-year-old rookie Ace Bailey will take on more minutes and will be expected produce offensively with extra scoring opportunities. Walter Clayton could see plenty of usage as well, having logged 32 minutes during Monday's loss to the Spurs.

Steven Adams Tue Jan 20 2:40pm

Houston Rockets center Steven Adams (ankle) has been ruled out of Tuesday's contest against the Spurs. The Big Kiwi started on Sunday against the Pelicans and had five points, 10 boards, and two assists before leaving after 27 minutes with his ankle injury. He was unable to put much weight on the injury and had to be helped to the locker room, so it isn't surprising that he'll miss some time, even though preliminary tests on Adams' ankle revealed no fracture. With Adams out, Clint Capela will likely get more time as the backup center behind Alperen Sengun, while Dorian Finney-Smith and Josh Okogie could get more time at forward with Sengun in the middle if Tari Eason (ankle, questionable) isn't ready to return on Tuesday.

RJ Barrett Tue Jan 20 2:30pm

Toronto Raptors guard/forward RJ Barrett (ankle) is still not ready to return from a sprained left ankle, and he'll miss his sixth straight game on Tuesday, when his team visits the Warriors. Barrett hasn't been given a concrete timeline, but he hasn't been able to return to practice yet either, so a return doesn't seem like it's coming soon. The Raptors play again on Wednesday against the Kings, which would be his next chance to return. With Ja'Kobe Walter (hip) also out, Jamal Shead and Grady Dick have been getting more work, with Ochai Agbaji also helping absorb more minutes on the wing. Those options will all stay busy on Tuesday against Golden State with Barrett still out.

Tari Eason Tue Jan 20 2:30pm

Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason (ankle) has missed the last five games with an ankle injury, but he is questionable to get back in the action on Tuesday night, when the Rockets host the Spurs in a Texas-sized matchup in Houston. Eason was playing well before the injury, scoring double-digit points and posting at least eight rebounds in five straight games before leaving the team's loss to the Blazers with his injury. In his place, Steven Adams (ankle) started on Sunday, but Adams is also out on Tuesday, leaving more time potentially for Josh Okogie, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Jae'Sean Tate to fill in at power forward.
