Field Level Media

Two-time All-Star guard Isaiah Thomas is attempting an NBA comeback with the Utah Jazz's G League affiliate, ESPN reported Monday.

Thomas, 35, is expected to debut for the Salt Lake City Stars this week, per the report.

He played in six games last season with the Phoenix Suns and has made only one start in the NBA since the beginning of the 2020-21 campaign.

Thomas, who earned consecutive All-Star nods with Boston in 2015-16 and 2016-17, has suited up for 10 teams in 12 seasons. He owns career averages of 17.5 points, 4.8 assists and 2.4 rebounds in 556 games (362 starts).

Thomas finished fifth in the NBA MVP voting in 2016-17 after averaging a career-high 28.9 points and 5.9 assists in 76 games (all starts) for Boston, earning a spot on the All-NBA second team.

Player Notes
Immanuel Quickley Mon Jan 27 3:00pm

Toronto Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley (hip) has been ruled out for a seventh consecutive game while he continues to deal with a strained left hip. The dynamic combo guard has been plagued with injury after injury this season and has only appeared in nine out of 45 games. Ochai Agbaji (hand) continues to see more minutes with Quickley out of the lineup, but he's considered questionable for Monday's matchup against the Pelicans as well. Davion Mitchell and Gradey Dick should remain in the starting five with Bruce Brown getting some added opportunities, but all three are very inconsistent. Fantasy managers will have to be comfortable with some risks using any of these options, but Dick usually sees a higher offensive output.

Jakob Poeltl Mon Jan 27 2:50pm

Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl (back) appeared on the injury report as questionable due to lower back stiffness for their Monday night matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans. The 29-year-old has one of the most consistent fantasy contributors on the Raptors this season as he averages 14.5 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game. Whenever he misses time, the streaming options are pretty thin. Chris Boucher just posted a huge night in their last game with 23 points, five rebounds, and one block, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him start. Orlando Robinson would likely get backup minutes, but Boucher would make the better of the two for streaming purposes, especially since he can stretch the floor.

Walker Kessler Mon Jan 27 2:30pm

Utah Jazz center Walker Kessler (shoulder) has been downgraded from questionable to out on Monday and will not face the Milwaukee Bucks. The young big man suffered a shoulder contusion in their last game against the Memphis Grizzlies after seeing the court for 29 minutes and posting 11 points, 10 rebounds, one assist, two steals, and two blocks. While Kessler and John Collins (illness) are both out, Kyle Filipowski will likely see some added opportunities at center. Across 20 minutes against the Grizzlies, he registered 11 points, four rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

Cody Martin Mon Jan 27 2:30pm

Charlotte Hornets small forward Cody Martin (abdomen) has been ruled out ahead of Monday's game against the Detroit Pistons. The small forward will miss his second game in a row due to core tightness. He was last seen in action against the Portland Trailblazers, where Martin had a rebound and an assist in four minutes. This season, Martin has averaged 7.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. His field goal percentage stands at 43.3%, while his three-point shooting percentage is at 32.3%.

John Collins Mon Jan 27 2:30pm

Utah Jazz forward John Collins (illness) will not play on Monday against the Milwaukee Bucks due to an illness. The former Hawk was originally listed as questionable but has since been downgraded to out as it seems the illness is impacting him a little more than the team would like. Collins has only appeared in three of the last 16 games due to various ailments. So, Kyle Filipowski and Brice Sensabaugh will likely see added opportunities since Walker Kessler (shoulder) has also been ruled out. Filipowski has the better route to more minutes and just posted 11 points, four rebounds, two assists, and one steal in their last game.

Jake LaRavia Mon Jan 27 2:20pm

Memphis Grizzlies forward Jake LaRavia (back) is in danger of missing his fourth consecutive game after drawing a questionable tag for Monday's game against the New York Knicks. The 23-year-old appeared in all 42 games leading up to this stretch and saw around 21 minutes per contest while averaging 7.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. If he remains sidelined, GG Jackson II, Brandon Clarke, and Santi Aldama (questionable - illness) should all continue to see minutes. If Aldama doesn't play, Jackson would be a solid option in deep leagues.

Gabe Vincent Mon Jan 27 2:00pm

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Gabe Vincent (knee) is listed as questionable ahead of Monday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. He has missed six games this season and is in danger of missing this one because of left knee soreness. Vincent likely picked up an injury in Saturday's game against the Golden State Warriors where he had seven points and two assists. This season, Vincent has played in 39 games averaging 4.9 points, 1.3 assists, 1.3 rebounds, and 3.0 threes per game.

Rui Hachimura Mon Jan 27 1:00pm

Los Angeles Lakers forward Rui Hachimura (calf) is questionable for Monday's meeting with the Charlotte Hornets. Hachimura sat out against the Warriors due to left calf soreness, and it appears as if his status for Monday is once again in doubt. He missed his sixth game of the season and is in danger of missing his second consecutive game. Hachimura has started every game he's played and is averaging 12.2 points and 5.3 rebounds on the season. Dalton Knecht is likely going to step up if Hachimura is out.

Santi Aldama Mon Jan 27 12:40pm

Memphis Grizzlies forward Santi Aldama (illness) has been tagged as questionable for Monday's matchup with the New York Knicks after missing the team's last two contests. The Spaniard has a bit more competition for minutes since the team has gotten healthier, but h's carved out a role that sees around 24 minutes per game. If he's forced to remain on the sidelines, GG Jackson II has been a rising fantasy candidate as he gets some more minutes, and Zach Edey continues to deliver some strong big-man stats for category leagues like he did on Saturday with 19 points, seven rebounds, four blocks, and two steals.

Caris LeVert Mon Jan 27 12:40pm

Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard Caris LeVert (wrist) has been ruled out ahead of Monday's game against the Detroit Pistons. The shooting guard will miss his fifth game in a row due to a right wrist sprain. He has played in 34 games this season and missed 11. LeVert has revitalized his game, becoming a highly effective scorer and all-around defensive contributor averaging 10.8 points and 3.8 assists while shooting 42% from beyond the arc. His next chance to suit up will come Wednesday against the Miami Heat. Ty Jerome will continue to benefit from his ongoing absence.

Dean Wade Mon Jan 27 12:30pm

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Dean Wade (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup with the Detroit Pistons while he deals with a right knee sprain. This is his second consecutive absence after starting in the last 14 games prior to the injury. Max Strus will likely join the starting five again in his place since Evan Mobley returned on Saturday. Strus put up 14 points, nine rebounds, and three assists in their last game. He'd serve as a solid streaming option in deeper category leagues.

Cam Whitmore Mon Jan 27 12:30pm

Houston Rockets guard/forward Cam Whitmore (illness) is suffering from an illness and was given a questionable tag for their Monday night game against the Boston Celtics. The second-year wing out of Villanova has seen inconsistent minutes, especially with Tari Eason back in the lineup, so he hasn't been very valuable in a lot of fantasy formats so far. If he doesn't play, however, Eason should see an increase in opportunities off of the bench. He's averaging 11.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 2.6 steals per game in the five appearances since returning from injury.

Tobias Harris Mon Jan 27 12:20pm

Detroit Pistons forward Tobias Harris (head) has been listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He took an elbow to the head in their last game against the Magic and has suffered some headaches since then. The good news is that he was available for shootaround on Monday morning, but there hasn't been an official decision on his status just yet. If he's unable to play, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Ausar Thompson should see added minutes while Malik Beasley likely joins the starting five. When Harris left against the Magic, Beasley played 30 minutes and posted 18 points, five rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

Isaac Okoro Mon Jan 27 12:10pm

Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard Isaac Okoro (shoulder) has been ruled out ahead of Monday's game against the Detroit Pistons. Okoro will miss his sixth straight game due to his shoulder injury which appears to be more serious than first thought. Since being drafted, Okoro has established himself as one of the better perimeter defenders in the NBA and has taken massive strides in improving his outside shot. He averages 5.8 points on 42.7% shooting from the field and 39.7% from three. His next chance to return to game action will come Wednesday against the Miami Heat. His absence would likely free up additional playing time for Sam Merrill and Georges Niang in the rotation.

Dejounte Murray Sun Jan 26 9:50pm

New Orleans Pelicans guard Dejounte Murray (elbow, finger) is questionable for Monday's matchup with the Toronto Raptors. The veteran has been battling numerous injuries during the 2024-25 campaign. But he's also seen a dip in production, averaging 17.5 points, five points less than last season. With that in mind, if Murray remains out on Monday, Jordan Hawkins, amassing 14 points and three steals in Saturday's loss to Charlotte, will likely remain in the starting lineup. Jose Alvarado, who logged 32 minutes in that one, could also be in line for a bump in fantasy production.

Josh Hart Sun Jan 26 9:50pm

New York Knicks forward Josh Hart (knee) is questionable for Monday's matchup with the visiting Grizzlies. He carried the same designation ahead of Saturday's win over the Kings. But the veteran was out there. Not only that, but Hart finished with 20 points, 18 rebounds, 11 assists, and two blocks in 40 minutes. It would be surprising if he wasn't available. However, if Hart can't suit up, Precious Achiuwa and Cameron Payne may be in line for more work. But his absence will likely mean more scoring opportunities for Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby, Jalen Brunson, and Mikal Bridges.

LeBron James Sun Jan 26 9:30pm

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (foot) is probable for Monday's game in Charlotte. The 40-year-old went from probable to questionable heading into Saturday's meeting with the Warriors. However, he was able to suit up, finishing with a 25-point, 12-rebound double-double. With Anthony Davis (foot) also expected to play, the Lakers are in a good position to extend their three-game win streak against one of the worst teams in the National Basketball Association. With that in mind, James is a must-start, although he could be more productive than usual.

Anthony Davis Sun Jan 26 9:30pm

Los Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis (foot) is expected to play on Monday against Charlotte. AD has appeared on the injury report nearly the entire season. However, he's only missed three games. Davis is also having one of his best seasons since entering the National Basketball Association, averaging 25.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, 2.2 blocks, and 1.3 steals. As such, he could be in for a big night versus one of the worst teams in the league.

Larry Nance Jr. Sun Jan 26 9:10pm

Atlanta Hawks forward Larry Nance Jr. (hand) is questionable for Monday's meeting with the Timberwolves. The veteran missed nearly a month after undergoing surgery on his right hand. But he returned on Saturday against the Raptors, finishing with four points in 20 minutes. The Hawks play consecutive games on Monday and Tuesday, so head coach Quin Snyder may keep him out for one of them. But with Trae Young (hamstring) and Jalen Johnson (shoulder) ruled out, and De'Andre Hunter (illness) and Zaccharie Risacher (adductor) questionable, Nance may find himself in the starting lineup, just like he was on Saturday. But depending on who is available, David Roddy may begin the game on the court, with the 23-year-old averaging 10.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.5 steals in two starts this season.

De'Andre Hunter Sun Jan 26 9:00pm

Atlanta Hawks forward De'Andre Hunter (illness) is questionable for Monday's meeting with the Timberwolves. The 27-year-old hasn't felt well, keeping him off the floor for Saturday's loss to the Toronto Raptors. But the Hawks need him back on Monday, considering Jalen Johnson (shoulder) and Trae Young (hamstring) aren't available. To make matters worse, Zaccharie Risacher (adductor) is questionable. With that said, if Hunter is available, he's a must-start in any fantasy format. But if he remains sidelined, Vit Krejci and Dyson Daniels are the favorites to see a bump in production.
