Trae Young scored the game-winning basket with 1.6 seconds left as the visiting Atlanta Hawks snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 132-130 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Monday night.
Young led Atlanta with 34 points and nine assists. De'Andre Hunter had 20 points, and Dyson Daniels supplied 19 points, seven assists, six rebounds, four steals and three blocks.
Cade Cunningham's 30 points and 14 assists led Detroit, which had won two in a row. Tobias Harris contributed 22 points.
Cunningham's layup with 26.5 seconds left tied the game, but Young then knocked down a long 2-pointer with the shot clock about to expire. The Pistons didn't get a shot off on their final possession.
Thunder 125, Bucks 96
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 34 points to lead Oklahoma City to a home rout of Milwaukee.
Playing on the second night of a back-to-back, the Bucks were without Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis. The Thunder were without Jalen Williams, Cason Wallace and Alex Caruso.
Ousmane Dieng put up a season-high 21 points for the Thunder. Ryan Rollins had a career-high 16 points to lead Milwaukee. Bucks rookies AJ Johnson and Tyler Smith posted season-best tallies of 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Pacers 112, Jazz 111
Pascal Siakam scored 22 points to lead Indiana to its fourth straight victory, a come-from-behind triumph over Utah in Salt Lake City.
Siakam made a game-clinching dunk in the final seconds as the Pacers overcame a 12-point deficit in the final six minutes to win their sixth straight road game. Tyrese Haliburton added 18 points.
John Collins totaled 21 points and 12 rebounds and Jordan Clarkson also netted 21 points for the Jazz, who lost for the ninth time in 10 outings. Clarkson tapped away an Indiana inbounds pass beyond midcourt in the last seconds, but the Jazz couldn't get a shot off.
Trail Blazers 121, Suns 119 (OT)
Deandre Ayton scored 25 points and collected a season-best 20 rebounds against his former team to help Portland notch an overtime victory over visiting Phoenix.
Deni Avdija recorded 24 points, eight rebounds and five assists before fouling out as the Trail Blazers completed a two-game sweep of the Suns and improved to 8-1 over their past nine games.
Devin Booker scored 34 points and became the all-time leading scorer in franchise history for the Suns, but he missed a free throw that would have tied the game with 4.4 seconds left in OT.
Knicks 124, Rockets 118
Jalen Brunson scored 11 of the final 13 points for host New York, which overcame an 11-point fourth-quarter deficit to send Houston to its third straight loss.
Brunson finished with 42 points, 10 assists and six rebounds for the Knicks, who went 4-1 on their now-concluded homestand. Mikal Bridges and Karl-Anthony Towns had 22 points apiece for the Knicks, who outscored the Rockets 46-29 while shooting 62.5 percent in the fourth quarter.
Amen Thompson posted 25 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists for the undermanned Rockets. It was Thompson's second triple-double of the season and the third of his career. Jalen Green added 21 points.
Grizzlies 128, Spurs 109
Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 31 points, GG Jackson added a season-high 27 and Ja Morant had 25 to lead host Memphis past San Antonio.
Morant, who missed the previous two games with a right shoulder injury, shot 9-for-18 -- including 4-for-6 from beyond the 3-point arc -- and finished with 11 assists and three steals. Rookie center Zach Edey contributed 16 points and 14 boards. The Grizzlies played without Desmond Bane (ankle).
Victor Wembanyama, who sat out San Antonio's loss to the Miami Heat on Saturday with an illness, led the Spurs with 27 points and 10 rebounds -- his eighth straight double-double. Stephon Castle added 21 points.
Warriors 104, Magic 99
Moses Moody capped a 17-point performance off the bench with a late 3-pointer, Andrew Wiggins had a team-high 25 points and Golden State outlasted Orlando in San Francisco.
Stephen Curry overcame a slow start to score 24 points for the Warriors, who won for the third time in their past four games. Cole Anthony came off the bench to pace Orlando with 26 points.
Wiggins, Kevon Looney and Draymond Green had buckets during a six-point burst that gave Golden State the lead for good. And after Moody countered a Franz Wagner jumper with his 3-pointer for a 99-94 advantage with 1:07 remaining, the Warriors were able to hold on.
Wizards 124, Hornets 114
Bilal Coulibaly pumped in 26 points and reserve Corey Kispert racked up 25 as visiting Washington defeated Charlotte, winning back-to-back games for just the second time this season.
Kyle Kuzma provided 22 points for the Wizards, who ended a 16-game losing streak by beating the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.
All five Charlotte starters scored in double figures, led by Miles Bridges and Nick Smith Jr. with 24 points apiece. Bridges had the first triple-double of his career, supplying 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
Nuggets 125, Pelicans 113
Michael Porter Jr. scored a season-high 36 points, Nikola Jokic had 27 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists and host Denver beat New Orleans.
Jamal Murray finished with 20 points and eight assists for the Nuggets, who were missing three rotation players: Russell Westbrook (hamstring), Peyton Watson (knee) and Aaron Gordon (injury management).
The Pelicans' Trey Murphy III tied his career high with 41 points and matched a season high with eight 3-pointers. He had 24 points on 8-of-10 shooting in the third quarter.
Kings 116, Timberwolves 114
DeMar DeRozan scored 33 points on 14-for-25 shooting and Sacramento held on for a win over Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Malik Monk added 26 points and eight rebounds for Sacramento, which won for only the second time in the past six games. Naz Reid scored 30 points on 12-for-19 shooting to lead Minnesota.
Monk made two free throws to make it 114-111 Kings with 6.8 seconds left. Domantas Sabonis added two more free throws to increase the lead to five points with 5.2 seconds remaining. The Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards hit a 3-pointer just before the buzzer, but it was too little, too late.
New Orleans' F Trey Murphy III scored 41 points on 13-of-21 shooting in a 113-125 loss to Denver on Monday, Feb. 3.
Nuggets' C Nikola Jokic recorded a triple-double, finishing with 27 points, 10 assists and 14 rebounds in a 125-113 win over the Pelicans on Monday, Feb. 3.
Houston Rockets' G Amen Thompson recorded a triple-double, finishing with 25 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds in a 118-124 loss to New York on Monday, Feb. 3.
Knicks' G Jalen Brunson recorded a double-double, scoring 42 points with 10 assists in a 124-118 win over the Rockets on Monday, Feb. 3.
Charlotte Hornets' F Miles Bridges recorded a triple-double, finishing with 24 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds in a 114-124 loss to the Wizards on Monday, Feb. 3.
Philadelphia 76ers center Andre Drummond (toe) is questionable for Tuesday's meeting with the Mavericks. The left toe issue has given the veteran a lot of issues over the last month. But the Sixers could use him back on the floor, especially with the team dealing with so many injuries. With Joel Embiid (knee) questionable, Drummond has a chance to see more minutes against Dallas. But if Embiid and Drummond remain on the shelf, Guerschon Yabusele, amassing 49 points and 13 rebounds in the last two games, will presumably remain in the middle. Adem Bona would likely stay involved, although he doesn't do much outside of his contributions on the glass.
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green (calf) will play on Monday against the Orlando Magic. The veteran was battling a left calf strain, keeping him off the floor for the Warriors' last 10 contests. It's not known if he'll see limited minutes in his first game back from a lengthy layoff. But Green's presence will mean Gary Payton II will head back to the bench.
Golden State Warriors guard Buddy Hield (illness) is available for Monday's matchup with the Orlando Magic. The veteran isn't feeling well. Fortunately, the illness won't force him to miss his first game of the 2024-25 campaign. Hield is hard to trust from a fantasy standpoint. But he had 13 points while shooting 3-for-5 from deep in Friday's loss to the Phoenix Suns, so fantasy managers hope he'll keep it going on Monday night. However, Hield could have a tough time getting that done versus an Orlando squad that has allowed 105.4 points per game this season, the second-best average in the NBA.
Dallas Mavericks forward P.J. Washington (knee) is off the injury report heading into Tuesday's game against Philadelphia. The 26-year-old didn't play on Sunday versus the Cavaliers because of a sore knee. As a result, Olivier-Maxence Prosper entered the starting lineup and finished with 10 points, six rebounds, and two steals. But with Washington back in the equation, Prosper can be removed out of fantasy lineups. On the other hand, Washington remains a must-start, especially since Anthony Davis (abdomen) won't make his Mavericks debut on Tuesday.
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (shoulder) is off the injury report ahead of Tuesday's clash with the 76ers. The 32-year-old appeared in eight games leading up to Sunday's loss to the Cavs. However, he wasn't available for that one due to shoulder soreness. The Mavericks' front office made a bold move recently, with the team acquiring Anthony Davis (abdomen) from the Lakers in exchange for Luka Doncic (calf). It's unknown how Davis' presence will impact Irving's production. But with AD out on Tuesday, it will be business as usual for Irving.
Dallas Mavericks center Daniel Gafford (ankle) is off the injury report heading into Tuesday's matchup with the 76ers. The 26-year-old wasn't available for Sunday's loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. But with Anthony Davis (abdomen) not ready to make his Mavericks debut, Gafford should be back in the middle on Tuesday night. He has played well in 24 starts during the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 15.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks. It's hard to tell how Davis' arrival will impact Gafford's workload. However, it's reasonable to assume he'll see a dip in minutes and production. For now, he remains worthy of a spot in any fantasy lineup.
Dallas Mavericks center Anthony Davis (abdomen) won't play on Tuesday against Philadelphia. AD suffered an abdominal strain before the blockbuster trade that sent him to the Mavericks and Luka Doncic to the Lakers. While he could be back on the floor at some point soon, his Mavs debut will need to wait. With Daniel Gafford (ankle), who didn't play on Sunday versus the Cavs, off the injury report, he remains a viable starting option for fantasy managers. But Gafford's outlook won't be as favorable once Davis is ready to roll.
Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs (quadriceps) will remain on the shelf for Monday's meeting with the Golden State Warriors. The team downgraded Suggs from questionable to doubtful earlier in the day and has now ruled him out for a fourth consecutive game. Anthony Black will likely continue to fill in for Suggs in the starting lineup. The second-year player has averaged 9.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.1 steals in a starting role this season. Cole Anthony will get more work off the bench and has been prolific recently, sinking five triples to average 19.5 points over the past two games.
Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner (ankle) will not play on Monday against the Utah Jazz. Indiana begins a back-to-back on Monday night, and Turner has been ruled out with a right peroneal strain after the team gave him a questionable tag on the injury report earlier in the day. Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle considers Turner day-to-day. Thomas Bryant is likely to make his second start as a Pacer. His debut in the role could not have gone much better, as the 27-year-old notched 22 points, eight rebounds, and a pair of steals in a 129-113 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Jan. 8. Obi Toppin's workload might also increase with Turner's absence.
Dallas Mavericks guard Max Christie is available for Tuesday's matchup with the 76ers. Christie was involved in the blockbuster trade involving Luka Doncic and Anthony Davis. It will be his first game for the Mavs after he averaged 8.5 points, 2.7 rebound, and 1.4 assists in 46 games with the Lakers. It's unknown how much action Christie will see. However, the 21-year-old appears to have a bright future, so he's worth stashing on fantasy rosters even if he gets off to a slow start with his new squad.
Minnesota Timberwolves forward/center Naz Reid (finger) is good to go for Monday's action against the Sacramento Kings. The team has upgraded his status from questionable to available ahead of tip-off. Reid will make a second consecutive start, with Julius Randle (groin) remaining on the shelf. A finger sprain ruined Reid's first start of the campaign on Saturday against the Washington Wizards, limiting him to eight points and three rebounds in 20 minutes. However, his career numbers as a first-unit member are solid at 14.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks.
Minnesota Timberwolves guard/forward Anthony Edwards (illness) will return to the lineup on Monday against the Sacramento Kings. He has recovered from an illness, which sidelined Edwards over the weekend against the Washington Wizards. Edwards will look to post his third consecutive game with 30-plus points. The Sacramento defense has struggled against him all season, allowing him to average 32.3 points per game in the matchup.
Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George (finger) won't play on Tuesday against the Mavericks. The 34-year-old has been banged up all season for various reasons. However, he's missed the last four games because of a strained left finger. Joel Embiid (knee), Andre Drummond (toe), Eric Gordon (knee), and Caleb Martin (hip) are all questionable, so Tyrese Maxey, coming off a 34-point outing in Sunday's loss to Boston, may be tasked with taking on more of the scoring load once again. Kelly Oubre Jr., Ricky Council IV, and Guerschon Yabusele may also be in line for added production, depending on who is ruled out.
San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama (illness) has been cleared to return to action on Monday against the Memphis Grizzlies. An illness kept Wembanyama out from Saturday's matchup against the Miami Heat, but he is ready to return on Monday after receiving an upgrade from questionable to available. Wembanyama is on a seven-game double-double streak and has exploded for a pair of 30-point games lately. However, with former Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr. in their lineup, the Grizzlies have limited the French star to 16.0 points on 34.2 percent shooting this season.
Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant (shoulder) is set to play against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday after being upgraded from questionable to available. He will return after missing two games with shoulder soreness. Desmond Bane (ankle) will not be involved on Monday, so Morant should carry a huge load offensively for the Grizzlies. Luke Kennard started the last two games in Morant's absence and may remain in the starting lineup with Bane out. A few weeks ago, Morant cooked up a nice double-double with 21 points and 12 assists in his only previous matchup against the Spurs this season.
