Commissioner Note

9-1-2025  (email content repeated below)

Hello NFFL Team Owners, it's almost Draft Day!

A)  My yard at 2035 Oxford Court (Ferndale) has the flamingos in it (inside corner lot, intersection of Oxford and Willow.)  Plenty of parking, both sides of street okay, as long as you're not blocking a driveway, you're fine. The two parking spots in my driveway will be open and available too, so use them.

B)  Tuesday, arrive as early as 4:45 (official start is 5:00pm), food will be ready.  Announcements and intros at 5:27pm, and draft starts at 5:30pm.  We've got sub sandwiches for all, potato salad, chips. Beverages provided will be root beer, milk and ice water.

C)  Draft will be in the living room + kitchen, no seating arrangement this time, sit wherever you want.

D)  Still need someone to put stickers on the draft board. Friends? Relatives? Kids?

E)  After drafting Round 8 (of 14 rounds) we'll take a twelve minute break for 2nd helpings, root beer floats, re-organize your notes, group picture, stretching, bio break, and also vote on whether our IR slot is for IR only, or IR and "Out" players both. (See previous email, included below.)

See you soon!

If a player comes off of IR, you have to move him to the active roster or drop him.  We'll see how easily RealTime Sports software handles this.  They do have a video on how owners can move players onto and off of the IR list here. And, we'll vote at the draft on whether a) only players on the NFL IR list can be put in your IR slot, or b) players who are "Out" can also be placed on IR.

Playoff clarification -- We're keeping the way it's been for a decade plus, no changes.  Which is, the three Division Winners make the playoffs, and the next three with the best season records make the playoffs.  These six are all seeded according to season record for the playoffs, regardless of whether they're Division Winners or not. (Total points is used for tiebreaks.)

House on the inside corner, look for the flamingos in the yard. Park anywhere near any sidewalk along Oxford or Willow, as long as you're not blocking a driveway it's all good. Draft will be indoors, with wifi available.

Awaiting response from RealTime Sports.  Using IR only, without Out players, might reduce work for the Commish.  Below is some info explaining Injured Reserve and Out designations.  Look it over, think, be prepared to discuss and vote at the draft. Thanks!
