The Los Angeles Chargers have selected former North Carolina Tar Heel running back Omarion Hampton with the No. 22 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Hampton was the consensus second-ranked RB in this class, and he'll enter a favorable situation in Jim Harbaugh's offense. The bruising back has been electric during his time at North Carolina, rushing for 15 touchdowns in each of the prior two seasons while eclipsing 1,500 rushing yards on exactly 5.9 yards per carry in each campaign. He has all the tools necessary to succeed at the next level, though his early playing time may be capped with Los Angeles acquiring fellow RB Najee Harris this offseason. Still, Hampton offers much more juice and explosiveness than Harris in a similar sturdy frame, and both Chargers backs -- Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins -- garnered 100+ carries in 2024. Furthermore, the former Pittsburgh Steeler is set to become a free agent after this season.

Dynasty | The Carolina Panthers drafted Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan with the 8th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Dynasty Analysis: The Panthers needed help everywhere and the selection of McMillan should give an improving Bryce Young a solid target to build around. With Xavier Legette and McMillan now in the fold, the young Panthers look like a team that's at least closer to competing. McMillan may not be in the same class as Malik Nabers, Brian Thomas Jr., or Marvin Harrison from last year, but he's clearly worthy of a top ten pick and should be the top receiver off the board in most dynasty rookie drafts coming up.
The Miami Dolphins opted for defense in the first round by taking Michigan defensive tackle Kenneth Grant at No. 13 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. Some NFL talent evaluators thought Grant was as good if not better than Mason Graham, who went fifth overall to Cleveland, and in the end, the pair went only eight picks apart. Grant was a devastating run defender who helped Michigan to the 2023 national title, and now figures to fill a void in Miami left behind by the departure of Christian Wilkins in 2024. The Michigan Man was projected much later in some mock drafts, so Miami will be betting big on its evaluation here.
Dynasty | The Indianapolis Colts drafted Penn State tight end Tyler Warren with the 14th overall pick. Dynasty Analysis: Widely expected to be the top tight end taken in the 2025 NFL Draft, Warren fell to #14 where the TE-needy Colts had to be thrilled. He'll slot in as the immediate starter and provide Anthony Richardson (or Daniel Jones) a legitimate target on each and every down. Warren will battle Colston Loveland to be the top rookie tight end, but with this landing spot, it's going to be hard to pass on Warren if you're a dynasty team in need of a player with an elite-level ceiling. He still looks like a top ten rookie pick despite the surprising draft day mini-tumble.
Dynasty | The Indianapolis Colts drafted Penn State tight end Tyler Warren with the 14th overall pick. Dynasty Analysis: Anthony Richardson (or Daniel Jones) find themselves with a new offensive weapon; a tight end who can run laps around recent Colts' TE rooms. If Richardson can hold onto the ball, he will find himself with a new teammate who can help with a lot of the "easy-button" plays near the line of scrimmage. If anyone was still holding onto Mo Alie-Cox, Drew Ogletree, Jelani Woods, etc., it's a good time to drop them.
After turning the NFL Draft upside down in 2024, there was no such drama from the Atlanta Falcons in 2025 as they took Georgia linebacker Jalon Walker at No. 15 overall. The first linebacker off the board, the former Bulldog likely ended up this high in the draft due to hybrid potential within a defense. At 6-foot-1 and 243 pounds, he's fast enough to be an edge rusher, but cerebral enough to snuff out running plays as an inside linebacker. Atlanta was largely expected to fortify its defense in the first round, and did just that with Walker. The rest of the Falcons' draft could be tougher to predict with quarterback Michael Penix Jr. cemented as the clear starter, but Kirk Cousins still on the roster as an obvious trade candidate.
Dynasty | The Tennessee Titans drafted Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the top overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Dynasty Analysis: As expected, Ward was taken first overall by the Tennessee Titans. While not the elite-level prospect we've seen taken first overall like Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck, Ward has done nothing but impress during the pre-draft process to the point the Titans just stopped fielding trade calls. He'll "compete" with Will Levis early on, but that's a competition he'll likely win quickly if the Titans even keep Levis through the weekend. Tennessee added Tyler Lockett and have Calvin Ridley in the fold, but Ward will need a lot more help to be successful in the long run. Regardless, he's in line to be a high-end QB2 or low-end QB1 early in his career with runway to be even better. He's seasoned, poised and talented and that seems like a good mix.
Dynasty | Tennessee drafted Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Dynasty Analysis: Cam Ward isn't a flawless quarterback prospect --particularly not in Year 1-- but there's no question he offers more to the Titans' pass-catchers than they've had in the last few years. Calvin Ridley (30 years old) doesn't pop as much more than a Dynasty WR3/4 after the selection, but it does give him a little more 2025 appeal as he leads a depth chart with Tyler Lockett, Van Jefferson, and Treylon Burks sitting far behind. Chigoziem Okonkwo (surprisingly only 25) is more of a TE Premium hold now, while Will Levis is relegated to the depths of very deep SuperFlex rosters.
Dynasty | Raiders stick at No. 6 and select Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty Dynasty Analysis: This selection basically makes Raheem Mostert, Zamir White, and the rest of the Raiders backfield roster bubble fodder for nearly any sized Dynasty league. There's a possibility that the new coaching staff will see what Dylan Laube and Sincere McCormick have to offer over the summer months, but as their sixth overall selection, Jeanty is going to be a massive do-it-all back from the onset.
Dynasty | Carolina Panthers select WR Tetairoa McMillan. Dynasty Analysis: McMillan adds size to the Panthers' wide receiver room, giving Bryce Young a sideline option to open up the middle of the field. We'll see if Young can capitalize on his new weapon, but this isn't necessarily a bad thing for teammate Xavier Legette, who had some growing pains in Year 1. Legette should hold steady in the WR5 range for now, but this might end up dinging Jalen Coker's value, which had bumped up a little since the end of the 2024 season.
Dynasty | Free agent wide receiver Tyler Lockett signs with the Titans. Dynasty Analysis: The former Seahawk fell behind both DK Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the pecking order last year and became expendable this Spring. The Titans are a decent landing spot for Lockett on paper since they currently have one of the weaker receiving corps in the league "boasting" the likes of Treylon Burks and Van Jefferson behind alpha receiver Calvin Ridley. This looks like a team prepping to take Miami quarterback Cam Ward tonight and this signing helps. As for Lockett's dynasty value, that's mostly come and gone as he'll likely be an up and down (and aging) WR3 in Tennessee.
The Seahawks opted to fortify their front line with the addition of offensive guard Grey Zabel from North Dakota State at the No. 18 spot in the 2025 NFL Draft. Zabel becomes the highest drafted offensive lineman in FCS history. The 23-year-old Zabel is extremely versatile, with the potential to play all five positions on the offensive line. He will likely settle in the interior and provide excellent protection for new Seahawks' QB Sam Darnold this season. Zabel was widely considered one of the safest picks on the board with a high floor due to his versatility.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers added another outstanding wide receiver to their pass-catching corps by taking Ohio State's Emeka Egbuka with the 19th pick in the draft. Egbuka is the latest in a line of five straight OSU wide receivers selected in the first round, following the footsteps of Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Marvin Harrison Jr. Egbuka hauled in 81 catches for 1,011 yards this last season and scored 10 touchdowns for the Buckeyes. He'll join a crowded receiver room with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and last year's rookie Jalen McMillan, but he has the talent and experience to be an immediate contributor for QB Baker Mayfield as the Bucs look to repeat as NFC South champions for a fifth straight season.

The San Francisco 49ers wasted no time calling in the 11th pick of the 2025 NFL Draft, selecting Georgia edge rusher Mykel Williams. The former five-star recruit managed only 14 sacks in three years in Athens, but played through an ankle injury during the 2024 season. At 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds, Williams has the look of a dominant edge rusher, and now the 49ers will try their best to turn his acumen into production at the NFL level. No team lost more to free agency than San Francisco, which will now will try to rebuild its roster with 11 picks in this year's draft. Williams figures to be an important first step into re-tooling its defense.
From RotoBaller
The Bengals added Texas A&M edge rusher Shemar Stewart to their defense with the No. 17 pick in the first round on Wednesday night. Stewart only had 4.5 sacks in his 37 college games, along with 65 combined tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and one forced fumble. However, he vaulted up draft boards with an impressive showing at the NFL Combine. He posted a perfect Relative Athletic Score (RAS) score and ranked near the top of the class in almost every physical measurement. The Bengals will now need to coach Stewart up to realize the most impact for his raw physical talent and develop him into a key part of their defense.

Dynasty | The Chicago Bears spend the No. 10 pick on Michigan TE Colston Loveland Dynasty Analysis: If we thought having three legitimate receivers in the offense would be a detriment to Cole Kmet's fantasy value last season, just wait until the Bears spend a top-10 pick on a tight end. Kmet was already in the lower-end of TE2 consideration, and this isn't going to do anything to help that. He finished a fully-healthy 2024 with under 500 receiving yards.
Dynasty | The Raiders drafted Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty with the 6th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Dynasty Analysis: It widely expected Jeanty wouldn't slide past the Raiders at #6 overall and that's exactly what happened in the end as Las Vegas scooped up the dynamic Boise State running back. The Raiders were a mess in the running game last year as the Zamir White experiment failed miserably. New Head Coach Pete Carroll loves to run the ball and Jeanty is going to have immediate RB1 potential. While there's some long-term concern as Carroll does love himself running back controversies, Jeanty is going to have every chance in the world to prove he's elite. You're looking at your RB1 and overall 1.01 in most rookie drafts here.
Dynasty | The Bears drafted Michigan tight end Colston Loveland with the tenth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Dynasty Analysis: There was great debate as to who would be taken first at the tight end position between Loveland and Tyler Warren and it ended up being Loveland, selected by Chicago with the tenth overall pick. He'll immediately compete with Cole Kmet who is signed for the next few years. However, it's hard to see Chicago not either moving on from Kmet or really getting creative on offense as they certainly didn't draft Loveland for him to watch. There were better landing spots for Loveland, but he still looks like a late first round or early second round pick in rookie drafts.
