SI.com's Albert Breer thinks that Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey's value now is at safety. Ramsey can still be a very good cornerback, but any team looking to trade for the veteran defensive back is likely looking to move him to safety in the long term. "I think that's a safe landing spot to put him in position to still do things that he does well," said an NFC executive. "So that's like a $10 million to $12 million player." The former All-Pro has $21.1 million left on his deal for 2025, which means the Dolphins might have to eat some money to facilitate a trade this offseason. And now that June 1 has passed, it will be easier from a salary cap perspective for the Dolphins to trade Ramsey. If feels inevitable at this point that Ramsey will be in a different uniform for the 2025 season, with a return to the Los Angeles Rams being in play.

The Atlanta Falcons are completely focused on developing former first-round quarterback Michael Penix Jr., according to SI.com's Albert Breer. Last year, the Falcons were locked into having veteran Kirk Cousins under center, but now they are putting their offense together in a way that will best fit Penix. The 25-year-old second-year signal-caller has proven to be an even faster learner than was expected when he was drafted. He has been working to get his footwork synced up, his base widened and his eyes upfield, while coaches also want Penix working to create ways to take advantage of his high-end arm talent. Atlanta added slow-developing, play-action concepts to take advantage of Penix's ability to create explosive plays down the field, and they've also expanded their perimeter passing game. The coaches and players are behind Penix, who will be an attractive QB2 with upside in superflex leagues in 2025.

The New England Patriots have no plans to release wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee), according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Diggs showed up for voluntary organized team activities this week in light of recent negative off-the-field publicity, and the Patriots have high hopes for him this year despite the fact he tore his ACL in Week 8 last year with the Houston Texans. After signing a three-year, $69 million deal in free agency, New England envisions the 31-year-old veteran being the WR1 for second-year quarterback Drake Maye when he's fully healthy. Diggs has been practicing without a brace this offseason and appears to be on track in his recovery from a torn ACL. On the wrong side and coming off major knee surgery, Diggs probably won't be all that explosive deep down the field with the Pats, but he could still be valuable as an every-week fantasy starter on volume as Maye's go-to aerial target.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots WR Stefon Diggs is not in danger of being released this offseason.
Fantasy Spin: Diggs had an off-field incident recently, but the Patriots seem ready to have him play this upcoming season. He will be the top receiver when he returns to the lineup and can be at least a No. 4 receiver in fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
Updating a previous report, New England Patriots WR Stefon Diggs (knee) did not participate in team drills during practice Monday, June 2.
Fantasy Spin: Diggs is working his way back from a serious knee injury, so his availability for the start of the 2025 regular season is still uncertain. He will be the main receiver for the Patriots when he plays and can be a No. 3 or No. 4 fantasy receiver when healthy.
From TheHuddle
Miami Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith would prefer to remain with the Dolphins, according to agent Drew Rosenhaus. Smith is looking for a pay raise after a productive 2024 season.
Fantasy Spin: It was recently reported that the Dolphins have talked with the Pittsburgh Steelers about Smith, so fantasy players should monitor the situation over the next few months. He was a reliable fantasy option this past season but his 2025 fantasy value is uncertain at this point.

Per Dan Salomone of Giants.com, the New York Giants have signed third-round pick defensive lineman Darius Alexander to a four-year contract. The financial details were not disclosed. Alexander is the sixth of seven rookies to sign their deal with New York. The 24-year-old didn't produce much during his time at Toledo, but he's uber-athletic for his frame and could be a nice rotational piece for the Giants' defensive line. Despite being drafted as a defensive tackle, he's currently listed second on the depth chart (unofficially) behind Roy Robertson-Harris at defensive end. New York sports one of the more loaded edge-rush units in the league, and a deep room of fresh legs can only boost their chances to be a dominant group. They posted the ninth-most sacks in the league as a team in 2024 (45).

Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury noted via the team's transcript last week that running back Brian Robinson Jr.'s focus this offseason has been "great." "Yeah, he's been really focused," said Kingsbury. "B-Rob's a guy who has played an incredibly high level....He knows what this year means to him and can mean to us when he plays at that level." The Commanders invested in their offense heavily this offseason -- fortifying their offensive front and the weapons around budding superstar Jayden Daniels. However, the running back room went essentially unchanged aside from the addition of seventh-round teammate Jacory Croskey-Merritt. Backfield mate Austin Ekeler will siphon away some touches, but the Alabama product should receive strong volume this season. It will be interesting to see how the team deploys Deebo Samuel Sr., but if he doesn't absorb too many carries, Robinson Jr. should provide decent value.

Veteran defensive back Ronald Darby has announced his retirement from the NFL after ten seasons. The Florida State product informed the Houston Texans on Monday. Darby was a second-round pick by the Buffalo Bills back in 2015 and had stints with the Eagles, Commanders, Broncos, Ravens, and Jaguars. He signed with Houston in March. In all, he played in 118 games and will finish his career with eight interceptions, 106 passes defended, and 447 tackles. The 31-year-old was set to back up the starting cornerback duo of Kamari Lassiter and Derek Stingley Jr. Still, his absence will leave the team's defensive backfield a bit shorthanded. Darby started 107 games in his career, while Houston's other non-starters cumulatively bolster 25. We'll see how the roster shakes out once it's trimmed down.

Houston Texans CB Ronald Darby announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday, June 2.

With trade speculation surrounding Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. this offseason, new head coach Liam Coen had nothing but positive things to say about the 26-year-old former first-rounder. When asked about Etienne's performance at OTAs this offseason, Coen said "(Travis) has done everything we've asked him to do and more... I don't understand some of the stuff I've seen out there, that's absolutely inaccurate." The Jags took rookie Bayshul Tuten in the fourth round of April's NFL draft, and then a report surfaced in May that the team wasn't very high on Etienne, which in turn led to trade rumors. Etienne had a second straight down year in 2025, carrying the ball 150 times for 558 yards and two touchdowns in 15 games. Even if he sticks around in Jacksonville, Etienne's fantasy stock is down, and he could lose more work to Tuten and Tank Bigsby.

Rams Wire's Cameron DaSilva reports that the Los Angeles Rams tried to trade up in the first round of April's NFL draft to take wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, who ultimately was taken by the Carolina Panthers at No. 8 overall. A trade never materialized for the Rams, and they ended up trading back to No. 46 overall and out of the first round entirely. DaSilva writes that the Panthers entertained offers for the pick for teams looking at McMillan, but they were never serious about giving up the pick unless they received a king's ransom. L.A. likely would have had to give up their No. 26 pick, a future first-rounder and likely one of their third-round picks. Instead, the Rams acquired a 2026 first-rounder in their trade back with Atlanta. The Rams only took one receiver in the draft, Konata Mumpfield, in the seventh round out of Akron.

Because Miami Dolphins tight end Jonnu Smith wants a new contract, he's been involved in trade talks this offseason, most notably with the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, Smith's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said Smith wants to remain in Miami. "Here's what I will say on behalf of my client: Jonnu would definitely like to stay in Miami," Rosenhaus said. "That's his first choice. This is where he lives in the off-season. He had a record-breaking season last year." The 29-year-old had a career year in 2024 with the Dolphins, catching 88 passes for 884 yards and eight touchdowns and is due to make $.4.8 million in 2025 in the final year of his two-year deal. If the Dolphins were to trade Smith, they'd be left with Pharoah Brown, Julian Hill, Tanner Conner and undrafted rookie Jalin Conyers in their TE room. A trade to Pittsburgh would definitely make a repeat season even more difficult for Smith.
From RotoBaller
Former San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles running back Tyrion Davis-Price signed an undisclosed two-year deal with the Tennessee Titans on Monday, according to his agent. Davis-Price never panned out for the Niners after they took him in the third round (93rd overall) in 2022 out of LSU. The 24-year-old played in just seven games (no starts) in his first two years in the NFL in the Bay Area, carrying the ball 40 times for 120 yards and no touchdowns. He was active for just one game in Philly last year and had three carries for seven yards. Davis-Price will now head to Tennessee to provide some RB depth behind Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears, Julius Chestnut and rookie Kalel Mullings. If Davis-Price sticks around past training camp this summer, it will likely be on Tennessee's practice squad.

New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee) is present for voluntary organized team activities on Monday, according to offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. There were some rumors over the weekend that the Patriots have been considering cutting Diggs because of some off-field issues, but that's all just speculation. On top of it, the 31-year-old veteran is recovering from a torn right ACL that he suffered on Oct. 27 of last year. There's a chance that Diggs isn't ready to go for the start of his first season in New England, but he was practicing without a brace on his surgically repaired knee last week at OTAs. Diggs' fantasy football situation is volatile right now, to put it mildly, as he could begin training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform if he's still on the team by then. Eventually, he's expected to be the WR1 for second-year quarterback Drake Maye if he remains on the team.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots WR Stefon Diggs (knee) reported to organized team activities Monday, June 2.
Fantasy Spin: Diggs is expected to miss the start of the season as he recovers from a torn ACL. He should be back to his WR2 ways by midseason, but he'll be a WR3 target you'll need to grab a banger of a WR4 for the first half to replace him with.
From TheHuddle
Free-agent QB Aaron Rodgers (Jets) hasn't committed to the Pittsburgh Steelers, NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero said on The Rich Eisen Show. 'I have been told that he has not affirmatively told the Steelers that he's coming. Certainly, all indications -- if you just look at it logically -- are that he's coming, based on his comments about, 'Hey, there's a team that plays in Chicago I might play for; I'm not playing in New Orleans,'' Pelissero remarked. 'He took one visit [with the Steelers]. He's been throwing with DK Metcalf. He talks all the time with Mike Tomlin. I know he's talked with Arthur Smith. So, there are all these signs that he's coming, but he has not affirmatively said, 'Hey, June 9 -- book me a ticket, I'm coming in and I'm going to join this team.''
Fantasy Spin: Rodgers had just four games with more than 20 fantasy points last season, but he did show sparks like in Week 18 with 274 passing yards, four TDs and 1 INT. He could be a matchup play if he goes to Pittsburgh, but he is devoid of much upside in leagues that don't start two QBs.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers TE Luke Farrell is expected to be used primarily as a blocking tight end, allowing the team to free up offensive threats such as RB Christian McCaffrey and TE George Kittle to run routes.
Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco told the Kansas City Star's Jesse Newell that he focused on gaining weight this offseason to get closer to his shape at the NFL Combine. "Just going back to 216, 4.37 Isiah Pacheco-style," said Pacheco. The Rutgers product was excellent for Kansas City over his first two seasons, but a fibula fracture in Week 2 of 2024 would derail a fantastic start for him. Miraculously, he'd return in Week 13, but the 26-year-old was not his usual effective self. The missed time caused him to lean out, but head coach Andy Reid notes that Pacheco put on some "good weight" and is looking "tremendous" ahead of the 2025 season. There'll be more competition for him in the Chiefs' backfield this year. However, more time removed from an ugly injury should benefit him. It's unclear whether or not the added weight will be a boon to him. Still, he has an excellent chance at a bounce-back season.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson noted on the 7 PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony podcast that he is relishing the chance to play with the team in New York. "I don't mind the lights. I don't mind that part of it," said the former Seattle Seahawk. He was also very excited about the cast of athletes he'll share the field with, and said that head coach Brian Daboll influenced his decision to land with the Giants. "Here with Dabes, I'm excited because his offensive wizardry is really special. Him and (offensive coordinator Mike) Kafka...people that I know and people that I believe in. I'm excited about the opportunity." There's no guarantee the 36-year-old starts for New York the entire season with fellow veteran signal-caller Jameis Winston and rookie Jaxson Dart waiting in the wings. However, he's undoubtedly a more talented QB than any of their options from 2024. Wilson could have some decent streaming appeal this season as long as he has the starting gig.
