Luke McCaffrey Aug 23 10:50pm CT
    Luke McCaffrey

Washington Commanders wide receiver Luke McCaffrey racked up five receptions for 23 yards in a 30-3 loss against Baltimore in the team's final preseason game. McCaffrey rounded out the preseason with his most productive outing, catching multiple balls underneath and generating some yards after the catch. He was also used as a blocker on the punt return team, which speaks to his special-teams value but hardly signals trust in him as an offensive contributor. It hasn't been the most encouraging training camp for the second-year wideout, as he's yet to emerge with star receiver Terry McLaurin not practicing along with Noah Brown. He looks to be firmly behind those two, Deebo Samuel and Jaylin Lane, in the pecking order for consistent routes.

Devon Achane Aug 23 10:50pm CT
    Devon Achane

According to Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, running back De'Von Achane hasn't had any setbacks regarding his recovery efforts. McDaniel added that he "looks forward" to getting Achane back at practice in the weeks heading into the opener versus the Indianapolis Colts. Jaylen Wright (leg) is considered "week-to-week," so fantasy managers may not see him on the field on September 7. Fortunately, it appears Achane has a good chance of playing. The 23-year-old finished the 2024 campaign with 907 yards off 203 carries. He also had 78 catches for 592 yards while totaling 12 touchdowns. If Achane is good to suit up against Indianapolis, he's a must-start in any fantasy format. If he's not cleared to play, Wright, assuming he's healthy, and Ollie Gordon II, who had eight touches for 43 yards in Saturday's preseason win over the Jaguars, are the favorites to see more work.

Shane Buechele Aug 23 10:50pm CT
    Shane Buechele

Buffalo Bills quarterback Shane Buechele turned in the team's best passing performance of the preseason in a 23-19 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday. The 27-year-old demonstrated pinpoint accuracy throughout the night, completing 25 of his 30 attempts for 278 yards and a touchdown. He also used his mobility to his advantage and added another 20 yards on five rushes. Buechele played the entire game with the Bills' top three QBs - Josh Allen, Mitchell Trubisky, and Mike White - on the sideline. Trubisky and White have spent the summer battling for the No. 2 job, a role Buechele stands little to no chance of winning. His best bet to stay in the organization for a third straight year may be via the practice squad. Buechele was on Buffalo's practice squad in 2023, and he spent last year on Injured Reserve after suffering a neck injury in the preseason.

Chris Rodriguez Jr. Aug 23 10:30pm CT
    Chris Rodriguez Jr.

Washington Commanders running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. rushed for 34 yards on five carries in the final preseason game against the Ravens. Rodriguez started the game and consistently picked up big chunks of yards. The 24-year-old finished the preseason averaging nearly seven yards per carry, with 17 rushes for 118 yards. Rodriguez fits the role of a hammer and short-yardage back that can get the tough yards, but also had gaudy production in the SEC at Kentucky. He averaged over 100 rushing yards per game in both of his last two seasons. Additionally, he's showing improved burst and explosiveness in camp this year, saying that he's already hit 20 MPH more times this year than all of last year, according to Hayley Salvatore of Commanders.com. Brian Robinson is now officially dealt to San Francisco, and Rodriguez is set to be in the mix for early down touches in the Washington backfield. Touchdowns will be the path to fantasy value for Rodriguez in what could be a murky backfield.

Jaylen Wright Aug 23 10:20pm CT
    Jaylen Wright

According to Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, running back Jaylen Wright (leg) continues to receive evaluations after exiting practice on Thursday. He's considered "week-to-week." The Dolphins' backfield isn't the healthiest group in the National Football League, with De'Von Achane (calf) still not practicing. It's unknown how things will look heading into the Week 1 opener versus the Indianapolis Colts. However, if Wright and Achane aren't healthy enough to suit up, Ollie Gordon II and Mike Boone could be in line for more touches. Gordon had 43 yards off eight carries in Saturday's preseason win over the Jaguars. While Boone wasn't as productive, amassing 27 yards off seven touches, he at least found the end zone. With that in mind, Gordon may be the safest insurance policy for fantasy managers if Achane and Wright can't give it a go on September 7, at least in terms of workload. Still, that doesn't mean he'll be a reliable fantasy producer. Fortunately, Week 1 is a few weeks away, so there is time for Achane and Wright to come off the injury report.

Sam Hartman Aug 23 9:50pm CT
    Sam Hartman

Washington Commanders quarterback Sam Hartman completed 12 of 17 passes for 114 yards and two interceptions in a 30-3 loss against the Ravens. Hartman also took two sacks for seven yards while playing the whole first half. One of the interceptions was an unfortunate batted ball, but the other was a late and weak throw where the defender easily undercut it. The Notre Dame product struggled again in the final game of the preseason. He completed only 53.3 percent of his passes while throwing four interceptions to no touchdowns across the three games. It remains to be seen if Washington will opt to to keep three quarterbacks on the roster, and if they did, it seems veteran Josh Johnson would be the choice. Both would be options for the practice squad regardless, but Hartman's lackluster camp and preseason makes it unlikely for him to make the final roster.

Sam Darnold Aug 23 8:13pm CT
    Sam Darnold

Dynasty | Seahawks quarterback Jalen Milroe completed 13-of-24 passes for 148 yards, with one touchdown, 31 rushing yards and two lost fumbles in Seattle's final preseason game. Dynasty Analysis: Any dreams dynasty managers had of Milroe somehow unseating Sam Darnold early this season had a bucket of cold water thrown on them today as Milroe really struggled. The two lost fumbles were brutal as he Milroe lost one on a sack and the other on a fourth down sneak. While he made some plays later in the game, Milroe clearly has a ways to go and while he remains a dynasty stash, his time is clearly not now.

Damien Martinez Aug 23 8:10pm CT
    Damien Martinez

Seattle Seahawks rookie running back Damien Martinez ran seven times for 24 yards in Seattle's final preseason game on Saturday. Martinez was coming off a solid showing in Week 2 of the preseason, but his game on Saturday was a bit of a disappointment. To be fair, Seattle's offense had trouble getting going for the whole game, but Martinez may not have been doing himself any favors with his performance. Martinez has been in a battle for the No. 3 running back spot with George Holani. It is unclear who will take the spot, but Martinez may be relegated primarily to special teams given his lack of experience. For now, he is not on the fantasy radar. However, he flashed solid potential in the preseason and could have a role later in his career.

    Marquez Valdes-Scantling Aug 23 8:10pm CT
    Marquez Valdes-Scantling

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling was the only main wide receiver in Seattle's wide receiving corps who played in the preseason finale on Saturday. He recorded three receptions for 33 yards with a long of 27. The Seahawks struggled to get their offense going throughout the game, and Valdes-Scantling was not immune to the struggles. Valdes-Scantling's participation in the game was puzzling. It could signal that he is fourth or lower on Seattle's wide receiver depth chart. He was unlikely to be a main contributor in fantasy football given his record primarily as a role player throughout his career. The development suggests that rookie wide receiver Tory Horton could be on his way to a substantial role in the offense. Horton is an interesting sleeper and dynasty candidate. The usage of both players will be important to monitor when the Seahawks open their regular season in Week 1.

Jalen Milroe Aug 23 8:00pm CT
    Jalen Milroe

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Jalen Milroe went 13/24 for 148 yards and a touchdown in Seattle's preseason finale on Saturday. Milroe added 31 yards on the ground. Milroe has flashed solid potential throughout the preseason, and he did so again on Saturday. The Seahawks gave Milroe the honor of playing the entire game, so his final stat line was not eye-popping. Seattle struggled to move the ball throughout the day, which is to be expected when a hodgepodge of players are playing in the final dress rehearsal. Fantasy football managers have been keeping an eye on Milroe throughout the preseason due to his potential with his legs. He could turn into a solid fantasy football asset down the line, but for now, he is stuck behind Drew Lock and Sam Darnold on the depth chart.

Romeo Doubs Aug 23 7:10pm CT
    Romeo Doubs

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs scored on his only look from quarterback Malik Willis in the Packers' 20-7 win over the Seattle Seahawks in their final preseason game. The Packers' wide receiver room has been decimated by injuries during the preseason, but it was a bit of an eye-opener to see Doubs, who has run the most routes for the Packers over the last two seasons, play the first two series of the game. Doubs scored on a one-yard snag from starting quarterback Malik Willis, and Doubs' day was over after that. The Packers can now rest up for their Week 1 home opener against the Detroit Lions. For fantasy purposes, Doubs is more of a late-round fantasy wide receiver with capped production upside, but he should be on the field quite a bit.

    From RotoBaller

Emanuel Wilson Aug 23 7:10pm CT
    Emanuel Wilson

Green Bay Packers running back Emanuel Wilson led the Packers in rushing yards in their final preseason game, a 20-7 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Wilson came into the game after Chris Brooks left in the middle of the Packers' second drive. Playing primarily at the end of the first quarter and almost halfway into the second quarter. Leading the team in rushing yards with 38 and tying for the most carries (8) on the day, Wilson is third in the pecking order for running back touches behind Josh Jacobs and Brooks. Wilson is very likely to break camp with the Packers if MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) isn't healthy, but Wilson shouldn't be drafted in fantasy leagues unless more injuries strike the running back room in Green Bay.

    From RotoBaller

Chris Brooks Aug 23 7:10pm CT
    Chris Brooks

Green Bay Packers running back Chris Brooks was the second back to enter the game for the Packers in their 20-7 victory over the Seattle Seahawks in their third and final preseason game. Brooks took over duties after Josh Jacobs received the first two snaps of the game. Playing seven snaps of his own, Brooks exited and gave way to Emanuel Wilson. In Brooks' seven snaps across the last play of the first drive and the first six plays of the next drive, Brooks took four carries for 15 yards. With the injury to MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) putting his Week 1 status in doubt, Brooks' entrance into the game ahead of Wilson seems to put Brooks as the preferred contingent play in Week 1 should Lloyd not be healthy. That said, Brooks should only be drafted in the deepest of leagues as a pure handcuff option.

Younghoe Koo Aug 23 7:00pm CT
    Younghoe Koo

Atlanta Falcons placekicker Younghoe Koo converted two of his three field goal attempts in Friday's 31-13 preseason loss to the Cowboys, making from 28 and 38 yards awaywhilemissing from 51 yardsout. The 31-year-old also converted his lone extra point attempt. After Lenny Krieg handled kicking duties in the team's first preseason game, Koo has taken over in the last twoand appears to be in line to be named the Falcons' starter for Week 1 of the 2025 season. The eighth-year pro had a down year in 2024, but also battled through a hip injury that ultimately cut his season short. Now fully healthy, fantasy managers should have confidence in him, however, there are higher upside options available in 12-team leagues.

    From RotoBaller

Matthew Golden Aug 23 7:00pm CT
    Matthew Golden

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Matthew Golden hauled in a 39-yard strike on two targets from starting quarterback Malik Willis in the Packers' 20-7 victory over the Seattle Seahawks at Lambeau Field. Golden, the Packers' first-round pick this past April, had to adjust and come back to the ball a little bit, but made a nice adjustment downfield to secure the longest reception of the day for both teams. The Packers' intent on selecting Golden in the first round signals a big role for the talented rookie out of Texas, and fantasy managers agree. Golden has been a mid-round upside staple in an offense that looks to generate more offense through the air this season than last season's iteration. Could Golden be the next fantasy find like last season's Ladd McConkey and Brian Thomas Jr.? Golden certainly has that level of upside as a WR3 in fantasy drafts.

Micah Parsons Aug 23 7:00pm CT
    Micah Parsons

Dallas Cowboys superstar edge rusher Micah Parsons (back) recently underwent an MRI on his back, and the results "came back pretty clean," head coach Brian Schottenheimer said. Parsons hasn't been practicing with the Cowboys amid a public spat over his contract and a trade request, though he has also cited back tightness as a reason for sitting out. After getting good results from the MRI, it doesn't appear Parsons' back will prevent him from playing Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 4. The bigger question will continue to be whether the 26-year-old will find common ground in contract negotiations with the Jerry Jones-led Cowboys. If not, the Cowboys could open the season without the face of their defense and someone who has already amassed 52.5 sacks in his first four years in the NFL.

Jake Bobo Aug 23 6:50pm CT
    Jake Bobo

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jake Bobo (head) suffered a concussion in Saturday's preseason finale against the Green Bay Packers, but he's in "good spirits," head coach Mike Macdonald said. Bobo had to leave the Seahawks' 20-7 loss early after he collided with teammate Tyler Hall on a punt return. He finished the game with one catch for 12 yards and wrapped up his preseason with five receptions for 51 yards and a pair of touchdowns. While the 27-year-old combined for just 32 catches for 303 yards and three scores in his first two seasons, he has been a valuable contributor on special teams.

    Tre'Davious White Aug 23 6:40pm CT
    Tre'Davious White

Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White (leg) suffered a "lower-leg injury" in practice on Thursday, general manager Brandon Beane said Saturday. Beane isn't sure when the Bills will get White back, which adds another question mark in their secondary. White starred with the Bills from 2017-23, but multiple serious injuries - a torn ACL in 2021 and a torn Achilles in 2023 - have slowed him down in recent years. After he divided last season between the Los Angeles Rams and Baltimore Ravens, White returned to Buffalo on a one-year, $6.8 million contract in April. The 30-year-old had been slated to compete this summer with rookie first-round pick Maxwell Hairston (knee) for a starting job opposite No. 1 corner Christian Benford, but Hairston went down with a knee injury early in camp. With Hairston unlikely to be ready for the start of the season, a healthy White would have been in line to start Week 1 against his previous team, the Ravens. White's status is now up in the air, though, and it may leave the Bills with no choice but to go outside the organization for help at corner before they kick off their season Sept. 7.

Carson Wentz Aug 23 6:20pm CT
    Carson Wentz

Free-agent quarterback Carson Wentz will work out for the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports. Since going second overall to the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2016 draft, Wentz has combined for 98 appearances (94 starts), completed 62.7% of passes, and thrown 153 touchdowns against 67 interceptions for five different teams. The former star, 32, has settled into a backup role over the past couple of years and spent 2024 behind Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City. The Vikings have a clear-cut starter in J.J. McCarthy, a first-round pick in 2024 who will debut this year, with Sam Howell, Brett Rypien, and Max Brosmer in reserve. Howell and Rypien each bring experience to the table, but Brosmer - an undrafted rookie from the University of Minnesota - was easily the most impressive of the three in the preseason. If the Vikings keep Brosmer and sign Wentz, the latter could bump one of the other veteran QBs off the roster.

Jaylen Wright Aug 23 6:10pm CT
    Jaylen Wright

Miami Dolphins running back Jaylen Wright (undisclosed) was spotted on the field heading into Saturday's preseason meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He wasn't using crutches, although he had a compression sleeve on his left leg. The 22-year-old suffered an apparent injury at practice on Thursday. While there haven't been any updates regarding Wright's health, it appears he at least avoided a serious injury. With De'Von Achane (calf) dealing with an injury of his own, Wright could find himself starting in Week 1 versus the Colts. However, there's still a few weeks to go, so it's too early to speculate. With that said, if Achane or Wright aren't available, Ollie Gordon II may jump to the top of the depth chart.
