Jakobi Meyers Aug 15 9:40am CT
    Jakobi Meyers

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers has "quickly cultivated strong chemistry" with quarterback Geno Smith and is "clearly (Smith's) No. 1 receiver," according to Tashan Reed of The Athletic. Reed writes that Meyers was a standout in the team's joint practice with the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday. Meyers has quietly been a highly productive possession receiver in recent years, averaging 77 catches for 876 yards and five touchdowns over the last four seasons. The 28-year-old is expected to be the number two target in Las Vegas behind star tight end Brock Bowers. Meyers profiles as a steady WR3 in fantasy with limited upside but a projectable floor as long as he stays healthy.

    Jacory Croskey-Merritt Aug 15 9:30am CT
    Jacory Croskey-Merritt

Washington Commanders running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt (shoulder) is all but assured of a roster spot, and it "wouldn't be a surprise to see him play a significant role in the offense," according to Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic. The rookie seventh-rounder suffered a shoulder injury in Washington's first preseason game, but it isn't considered serious. Croskey-Merritt's training camp performance has earned a steady drumbeat of praise from both team personnel and Commanders' beat writers. He will almost certainly open the season behind both Brian Robinson Jr. and Austin Ekeler on the backfield depth chart, but it appears that Washington is open to him working his way into more playing time. Croskey-Merritt is a name for fantasy managers to monitor on the waiver wire or even as a late-round dart throw in deep leagues.

Luke McCaffrey Aug 15 9:20am CT
    Luke McCaffrey

Washington Commanders wide receiver Luke McCaffrey has "received ample time with the ones and struggled" in training camp practices, according to Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic. Jhabvala includes McCaffrey in his 53-man roster projection for Washington, but writes that he's doing so "largely because he was a third-round pick last year." The 24-year-old McCaffrey saw very little usage on offense as a rookie in 2024, recording 18 catches for 168 yards and zero touchdowns in 17 games. With Terry McLaurin not practicing while he seeks a new contract, Washington desperately needs someone to step up in their wide receiver room. However, it appears McCaffrey has not yet seized the opportunity to do so.

Harold Fannin Jr. Aug 15 9:00am CT
    Harold Fannin Jr.

Cleveland Browns tight end Harold Fannin Jr. has been reportedly looking good in joint practices with the Philadelphia Eagles this week. On Thursday, Fannin dropped a potential touchdown pass from quarterback Joe Flacco. However, Fannin responded by catching the next one and later scoring on a corner route. The rumors are that Fannin could line up all over the field, which could give him fantasy value right away in Cleveland. If everything keeps going well, Fannin could very well earn the backup job behind David Njoku to begin the season.

Joe Milton III Aug 15 9:00am CT
    Joe Milton III

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Joe Milton III is expected to see a heavy workload during Saturday's second preseason contest against the Baltimore Ravens. Milton was pulled early during their first contest due to an elbow issue. Before exiting, Milton completed 17-of-29 passing attempts for 143 yards with one touchdown and one interception against the Los Angeles Rams. It seems like Milton is the favorite to backup Dak Prescott, but he'll still have to compete with Will Grier. Regardless of who wins, neither quarterback is going to offer fantasy value with Prescott healthy. Milton might be worth a stash in dynasty leagues, but he doesn't have a clear path to playing time.

Jaydon Blue Aug 15 8:50am CT
    Jaydon Blue

Dallas Cowboys running back Jaydon Blue (heel) is no longer using a walking boot, but hasn't participated in practice since last week. That being said, it's unlikely that Blue is going to be ready to play against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday. The Cowboys probably aren't going to put Blue into game action without him getting any practice reps this week. Before going down, Blue looked impressive in camp, so hopefully he'll be able to get back on the field soon. It seems unlikely that he'll surpass Javonte Williams on the depth chart, but Blue could have a role as a backup to begin the season.

Kaleb Johnson Aug 15 8:30am CT
    Kaleb Johnson

According to Andrew Fillipponi, Pittsburgh Steelers running back Kaleb Johnson is unlikely to have a big role on offense early in the season. Johnson still needs to work on his pass protection and pass-catching ability before taking on a bigger role. It's still fairly early in training camp, so things could change from now to Week 1. The expectation is that Jaylen Warren will be the lead back to start the season. After that, Johnson and Kenneth Gainwell figure to get mixed in as change-of-pace backs. If Johnson improves quickly, he could see his role on the team grow rapidly. The Steelers are high on Johnson after taking him in the third-round, but it seems like the rookie back still has things to work on before he's ready to take on a larger workload.

Quinshon Judkins Aug 15 12:13am CT
    Quinshon Judkins

Dynasty | Browns running back Quinshon Judkins won't face charges for battery. Dynasty Analysis: Judkins may still face disciplinary action from the NFL, but any suspension won't be nearly as substantial as it would have been should he have been convicted of a crime. This should pave the way for him to officially sign his rookie deal and move forward. While his rookie ADP will now begin to rise again, dynasty managers will certainly be cautions as this accusation will remain a red flag. Still, this is the first positive news we've seen about Judkins in some time.

Isaiah Bond Aug 15 12:13am CT
    Isaiah Bond

Dynasty | Former Texas receiver Isaiah Bond is set to join the Browns after it was announced he will not face sexual assault charges. Dynasty Analysis: Bond famously went undrafted after he was charged with sexual assault this Spring. With the saga apparently behind him, it seems he's poised to sign with Cleveland. While the NFL could still perform their own investigation, Bond's biggest challenge seems to be behind him. A very talented player, the former Alabama and Texas receiver is apparently set to join a team with a clear need at receiver behind Jerry Jeudy. It's pretty late to join up and make a team but if he does, there could be some sneaky dynasty value here. At this point, he seems to be pretty roster worthy.

Baker Mayfield Aug 15 12:00am CT
    Baker Mayfield

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield will not suit up for Saturday's preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Head coach Todd Bowles said Mayfield's strong performance in Friday's practice made additional reps this weekend unnecessary. The veteran signal-caller is coming off a career year, finishing as the QB4 in fantasy football last season. With Chris Godwin returning to full health alongside Mike Evans, Mayfield has a strong supporting cast to build on his 2024 success. Fantasy managers should view him as a solid mid-round quarterback option and a value pick once the elite tier of signal-callers is off the board.

    From RotoBaller

Mike Evans Aug 15 12:00am CT
    Mike Evans

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans impressed during Thursday's joint practice with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Evans won a red-zone battle against cornerback Jalen Ramsey for a two-point conversion, then capped the day by hauling in a touchdown from Baker Mayfield during a two-minute drill. After posting a "down year" in 2024 with 1,004 yards and 11 touchdowns, Evans looks determined to return to elite form in 2025. The veteran remains one of the NFL's most reliable end-zone threats, and fantasy managers should consider him a steady WR2 with WR1 upside heading into draft season.

Olamide Zaccheaus Aug 14 9:10pm CT
    Olamide Zaccheaus

Chicago Bears wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus "might lead the team in training camp receptions," according to Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic. Wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator Antwaan Randle El described Zaccheaus as "the F-receiver in this offense." Zaccheaus played in 17 games last season for the Washington Commanders, recording 45 receptions for 506 yards and three touchdowns. He's part of a crowded wide receiver room in Chicago that also includes DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, and rookie Luther Burden III. However, it sounds as though the Bears plan to utilize Zaccheaus in a fairly consistent role. His usage could cut into the fantasy outlooks for Chicago's top three receivers, so it's something to monitor when the first-team offense gets reps in the team's second preseason game on Sunday.

Daniel Jones Aug 14 9:00pm CT
    Daniel Jones

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones was picked off twice in 16 pass attempts by the Green Bay Packers' defense during the joint practice between the two teams on Thursday, per James Boyd of The Athletic. Boyd writes that the "Colts' offense was overwhelmed by the Packers' defense" and "the dink-and-dunk offense (Jones) was commanding was far from fruitful." Jones is competing with Anthony Richardson Sr. for the QB1 role in Indianapolis, but both quarterbacks are reportedly struggling in training camp. Jones is starting the Colts' second preseason game against the Packers on Saturday. The 28-year-old has mostly been a non-factor in fantasy throughout his six-year NFL career, which should be expected to continue if he does indeed win the starting job in Indianapolis.

    J.J. McCarthy Aug 14 8:50pm CT
    J.J. McCarthy

Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy had his "best practice of camp" on Thursday and impressed with both his consistency and accuracy, according to Alec Lewis of The Athletic. Lewis notes that McCarthy had a stretch of practice where he completed 13 straight passes and threw for six touchdowns. The 22-year-old former first-round pick is preparing for his first year as an NFL starter after missing his entire rookie season with a torn meniscus in his knee. McCarthy will likely experience some growing pains, but he has a lot of playmaking talent around him in Minnesota and an excellent play-calling head coach in Kevin O'Connell. He profiles as a mid-tier QB2 in fantasy, but he's got more upside than some of the other quarterbacks being drafted in his range.

    From RotoBaller

Cooper Kupp Aug 14 8:30pm CT
    Cooper Kupp

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp has "plenty left in the tank" and has shown the ability to "get open against (star cornerback) Devon Witherspoon" in training camp practices, according to Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic. Kupp is entering his first year in Seattle after spending the first eight seasons of his career with the Los Angeles Rams. The 32-year-old recorded 67 catches for 710 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games for Los Angeles in 2024. Seattle signed Kupp to complement third-year wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who is coming off a breakout season. Kupp has had major struggles staying healthy (18 missed games over the last three years), but he can still be productive in fantasy when he's on the field. He profiles as a WR4 in PPR-scoring and could outperform that rank on a per-game basis.

River Cracraft Aug 14 8:20pm CT
    River Cracraft

The Washington Commanders have signed wide receiver River Cracraft, according to Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic. Cracraft has played for three different teams across seven NFL seasons entering 2025, but has never recorded more than nine catches in a single year. He played eight games for the Miami Dolphins in 2024 and caught seven passes for 66 yards and zero touchdowns. The 30-year-old Cracraft is a long shot to make the Commanders' 53-man roster. Still, it's somewhat notable that the team is looking to fortify its wide receiver depth amidst its ongoing contract dispute with star wideout Terry McLaurin.

Mason Rudolph Aug 14 7:50pm CT
    Mason Rudolph

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin told reporters on Thursday that quarterback Mason Rudolph will again be the team's starting QB for their meeting with the visiting Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday. Tomlin also noted that the players who didn't play in their win against the Jaguars last week will sit out once more. It seems we'll have to wait at least one more week before we see veteran signal-caller Aaron Rodgers don the Steelers' black and yellow for the first time. Rudolph was efficient in their preseason opener, completing 90% of his passes for 84 yards and a score before teammate Skylar Thompson relieved him. It will be that duo again this weekend, unless Will Howard (hand) is cleared for action.

Spencer Rattler Aug 14 7:40pm CT
    Spencer Rattler

New Orleans Saints head coach Kellen Moore told reporters on Thursday that he has yet to decide on a starter for Sunday's home meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Spencer Rattler got the nod last weekend and played one quarter in their loss to the Chargers before giving way to rookie signal-caller Tyler Shough. Shough saw the most work in that one, and that Moore is still tinkering with his lineup suggests the Saints' QB situation is far from clear-cut. One of Shough or Rattler figures to eventually pull ahead in that race, but Jake Haener can't be counted out just yet. Whomever eventually wins out will determine the value of New Orleans' skill players. Still, outside of running back Alvin Kamara and wide receiver Chris Olave, there aren't many other enticing options. Perhaps the situation will shake itself out this weekend when the Jaguars come to town.

    A.J. Brown Aug 14 7:20pm CT
    A.J. Brown

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports that he doesn't "sense any great concern" regarding Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown's (hamstring) injury. Brown has been in and out of practice over the last few weeks while dealing with a nagging hamstring issue. There was some worry that he'd suffered a setback when he was downgraded from a limited session earlier in the week, although it doesn't appear to be a serious ailment. With that said -- and the regular season looming -- it's worth keeping an eye on. Hamstring injuries can be tricky, and any time missed by the Ole Miss product would be a boon to teammate DeVonta Smith's production. Brown could be a decent value at his current draft spot -- just inside the top 20 -- but the inherent risk in selecting him grows greater each day he misses practice time.

Nick Bosa Aug 14 6:40pm CT
    Nick Bosa

San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa (neck) is dealing with neck soreness, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. The head coach said that the hope is that Bosa will be back at practice next week. Bosa did not practice at training camp on Thursday and will not take the field for the team's second preseason contest on Saturday versus the Las Vegas Raiders. Injuries are nothing new for the 27-year-old five-time Pro Bowler, as he missed three games a year ago with knee and oblique injuries. But as long as he's able to get back to practice at some point next week, he should be good to go for the Week 1 regular-season opener in early September. The 2024 season was the first since 2020 that Bosa didn't have double-digit sacks, although he was only one away with nine. The former Defensive Player of the Year is a risk/reward IDP fantasy selection at defensive line.
