New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields will line up for a favorable matchup this Sunday when his team takes on the visiting Dallas Cowboys. New York fell to 0-4 on Monday night in their loss to the Dolphins, but Fields rebounded in his return from a concussion. The 26-year-old was again interception-free and scored his third rushing touchdown of the season en route to a top-five fantasy finish at his position. He'll get another chance to reward fantasy managers who stuck with him in Week 5 against a porous Dallas defense. In addition to the Cowboys being beatable on the ground, they've allowed the most passing yards per game to opposing offenses (297.3) and the most fantasy points per outing to quarterbacks. Fields isn't surrounded by an impressive cast of skill players, but his work in the ground game will continue to boost his fantasy output. He's RotoBaller's QB5 for his meeting with the Cowboys.

Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown has been one of fantasy football's biggest disappointments to start the 2025 season. Through four weeks, Brown has 57 carries for just 133 yards and one touchdown, along with 11 catches for 74 yards, ranking as the RB35 in half-PPR formats on a per-game basis. He's struggled badly behind Cincinnati's offensive line, sitting dead last in the league in both yards per carry (2.3) and yards before contact (1.0). Week 5 doesn't offer much relief, as the Bengals face the Detroit Lions, who have allowed the ninth-fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs. Detroit's run defense has been one of the best in football over the past two seasons, making running lanes nearly nonexistent. Given the tough matchup and Brown's inefficiency, he should be considered no more than a low-end FLEX option in Week 5 lineups.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Jake Browning is searching for a bounce-back performance after two rough outings in relief of Joe Burrow. Browning has completed 33 of 52 passes for 265 yards with just one touchdown against two interceptions since taking over. The Bengals' offense has sputtered badly under his command, ranking 30th in points per game (15.3) and last in the NFL in total yards per game (205.3). With Burrow expected to miss the next three months, the pressure on Browning has only intensified, as many speculate they should add another quarterback. Week 5 brings a tough matchup against the Detroit Lions, who have allowed the 12th-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks despite already facing Lamar Jackson, Caleb Williams, and Jordan Love. Fantasy managers should firmly sit Browning this week, as his performance against Detroit could go a long way in determining whether he holds the starting job moving forward.

Arizona Cardinals kicker Chad Ryland has connected on eight of 10 field goal attempts and all eight of his extra-point tries through his first four games of 2025. Both he and the Cardinals should have plenty of opportunities to put points on the board in Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans, who are allowing an average of 30 points per game so far this season. Ryland also has the benefit of playing this week at home in Arizona, eliminating any weather concerns from the equation. The 25-year-old profiles as a low-end starting fantasy kicker option in Week 5 against Tennessee.

Arizona Cardinals running back Emari Demercado should be in line for a significant workload increase in Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans, with Cardinals running backs James Conner (ankle) and Trey Benson (knee) both on Injured Reserve. Green Bay Packers rookie wide receiver Matthew Golden had the most productive game of his young career in Week 4 against the Dallas Cowboys, recording five catches for 58 yards on six targets. Through four games, Golden has 11 catches for 126 yards on 14 targets. The 22-year-old has seen his usage and snap count go up since the Packers lost wideout Jayden Reed (collarbone, foot) to injury in Week 2. However, Green Bay could be getting Christian Watson (knee) back from a knee injury that sidelined him for the first four weeks of the season shortly after the team's Week 5 bye. Golden has plenty of upside, but he will likely remain difficult for fantasy managers to trust given Green Bay's crowded wide receiver room. Golden's next chance to make an impact will be in Week 6 when the Packers take on the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Kansas City Chiefs consider wide receiver Rashee Rice their clear No. 1 option and have not entertained trade offers for other players at the position. A team source told Dianna Russini, "He's better than any trade we could make. People don't realize how good he is." Rice, currently serving a six-game suspension for charges related to a hit-and-run, was on a phenomenal pace in 2024 before the setback. He hauled in 24 of 29 targets for 288 yards and two touchdowns in just three games. Scheduled to return in Week 7 against the Las Vegas Raiders, Rice is expected to reclaim his WR1 role in Kansas City immediately. With the fantasy wide receiver market looking uncertain, Rice has the potential to step right back into the WR1 fold in most formats this season.

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz continues to be a reliable but unspectacular producer in his team's offense, but he does bring some value as a PPR play against the Ravens this week, since quarterback C.J. Stroud continues to lean heavily on him to keep the chains moving. Schultz tied for the team lead with six targets last week and posted a team-high five catches. He only managed 30 yards, though, with his longest play going for nine yards. This season, he has at least three catches in every game but has only totaled 126 yards on his 16 catches. His volume of catches can make him a fill-in play with a high floor as we hit the bye weeks, but his ceiling is limited since his routes are usually short. In RotoBaller's Week 5 projections, Schultz is the No. 15 TE, making him startable in an emergency situation in most formats, even though he doesn't have an elite ceiling.

Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey will look to continue his electric pace in Week 5 against the New York Jets. Aubrey remains perfect on the season, making all nine of his field goal attempts and all 11 extra points. He currently ranks second among all kickers in fantasy points (12.3), trailing only Colts kicker Spencer Shrader. The Cowboys face the Jets in Week 5, who have allowed the most fantasy points to kickers so far in 2025. With Dallas' offense rolling and Aubrey's accuracy shining, the third-year kicker projects as the top option at his position this week.

Houston Texans wide receiver Xavier Hutchinson continues to be the most involved receiver on the outside across the field from Nico Collins, with Christian Kirk playing in the slot. He hasn't had much production in the Texans' ineffective passing game, but he's getting enough work to be worth monitoring coming into this week's matchup with the Ravens, who have allowed the third-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. Hutchinson played 68% of the team's snaps in Week 4, ahead of both rookie Jayden Higgins (44%) and rookie Jaylin Noel (24%). Hutchinson also had three targets, converting two into catches for 17 yards, while Higgins and Noel only had one target each. Higgins made the most of his catch with a touchdown, but it still looks like Hutchinson is ahead of him on the depth chart. Even with his bigger role and good matchup, Hutchinson is only the WR74 in the RotoBaller rankings, so he is best left on the bench or waiver wires until something changes.

Houston Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn went 2-for-3 on field goals last week and made both his extra point attempts. He is 4-for-4 on extra point attempts this season and 8-for-10 on field goals, with both his misses coming from 50+ yards. He and the Texans knocked off the Titans 26-0 for their first win of the season last week and will look to make it two in a row as they visit the Ravens on Sunday. Fairbairn is the No. 11 kicker in RotoBaller's rankings for Week 5, and he can be a strong play against Baltimore on the road, even though he isn't in a controlled environment or backed up by an extremely productive offense right now.

The Houston Texans defense is coming off a shutout against the Titans last week, and they'll get a decent matchup on the road against the Ravens, who won't have Lamar Jackson (hamstring) and will start Cooper Rush instead. In last week's shutout of the hapless Titans, the Texans had two sacks and an interception, and they have multiple sacks in every game they have played this season, along with a total of three takeaways. The Ravens' offense will clearly be less potent without Jackson, but Rush will likely manage the game just fine. He completed 9-of-13 passes last week for 52 yards, no touchdowns, and no turnovers after coming in for Jackson last week. On the road this week, the Texans are the No. 14 D/ST in the RotoBaller rankings and a solid starting option, even though they don't have an elite matchup.

Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren continues to impress in his rookie season. Warren has now caught 19 passes for 263 yards and added four rushes for six yards and a touchdown through four games. His touchdown came on a goal-line carry, a trend that will increase his already high fantasy value if the Colts continue to call his number when near the end zone. Warren will look to stay hot in Week 5 against the Las Vegas Raiders at home. The Raiders have been tough on tight ends this season but Warren's role on offense makes him a must-start in fantasy every week. Treat him as a top-five fantasy tight end heading into Week 5.

Baltimore Ravens running back Keaton Mitchell is expected to be active for the first time this season against the Houston Texans. The third-year back has been a healthy scratch through the first four weeks, but he's finally set to make his season debut in Week 5. With Lamar Jackson (hamstring) sidelined, the Ravens are expected to lean heavily on the run game, especially with four running backs now on the active roster. The Texans have allowed the 15th-most fantasy points to running backs, and while Mitchell isn't projected to see a major workload right away, his activation adds excitement to Baltimore's backfield rotation. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on how he's utilized in this new-look offense, as his explosiveness could earn him a more significant role moving forward.

Miami Dolphins tight end Darren Waller made an immediate impact in Week 4 with three catches on four targets for 47 yards and two touchdowns. He'll look to continue his big contributions in Week 5 against the Panthers, who have been a favorable matchup for tight ends this season. Waller only played 16 snaps (28%) in his return from retirement, but he said he's ready for "a jump" in his snap count if that's what his coaches want. He only played 31 snaps compared to Xavier Hutchinson's 48 snaps, but he was the more productive option, even though he only had one target. The No. 34 overall pick in the NFL Draft is still battling for playing time and not making a significant enough impact to be a fantasy option just yet. However, he does have the potential for big plays like he showed last week and could work his way into a larger role as the season progresses. For now, he's not a strong starting option, though, since he's only the No. 67 WR in RotoBaller's Week 5 rankings.
