Greg Dulcich Aug 22 1:50am CT
    Greg Dulcich

New York Giants tight end Greg Dulcich scored two touchdowns on Thursday, August 21, 2025, in a 42-10 preseason victory over the New England Patriots. Dulcich caught four of his four targets for 26 yards, with his longest reception going for 10 yards, averaging 6.5 yards per catch. The two touchdowns (third of the preseason) are a significant accomplishment for Dulcich, who is doing his best to make a deep Giants roster at the tight end position. The Giants drafted tight end Thomas Fidone in the seventh round this year after drafting Theo Johnson in the fourth round last year, making the competition for a roster spot a tough climb for Dulcich before the cuts are made. Dulcich has minimal fantasy relevance in redraft leagues but is a name to monitor for managers in deeper dynasty formats in the event he makes the team or is signed elsewhere.

Cam Skattebo Aug 22 1:40am CT
    Cam Skattebo

New York Giants rookie running back Cam Skattebo made his professional debut with a short but efficient outing in the Giants' 42-10 preseason victory over the Patriots. The rookie, who has been nursing a hamstring injury for a few weeks, was active for the first time and handled the first three carries of the game. He finished the contest with three carries for 12 rushing yards, an average of 4.0 yards per carry, with a long run of four yards, and zero rushing touchdowns. Skattebo also did not record a reception. While he is currently behind Tyrone Tracy Jr. on the depth chart, Skattebo is a key backfield piece who should contribute off the bench in the regular season.

Jaxson Dart Aug 22 1:30am CT
    Jaxson Dart

New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart had another excellent performance in the team's 42-10 win over the New England Patriots, showcasing his dual-threat abilities before an injury scare ended his night. The first-round pick started the game hot, throwing a 7-yard touchdown to tight end Greg Dulcich on the opening drive. He finished the game with 6-for-12 for 81 yards, a 5.9 average yards per attempt, and one touchdown with no interceptions. His night was cut short after a 23-yard run on fourth down late in the first quarter, where his head hit the ground. He was ultimately fine but did not return to the game. Despite his impressive preseason, 32-for-47 passing for 372 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions, he will not be the starter to open the season, as veteran Russell Wilson has secured the QB1 role.

JaMycal Hasty Aug 21 10:20pm CT
    JaMycal Hasty

New England Patriots running back JaMycal Hasty rushed for 30 yards on 11 carries during Thursday's preseason finale against the New York Giants. He also converted his lone target into a nine-yard reception. With the preseason wrapping up, New England played most of its depth players against the Giants. Their gameday roster included Hasty, who is the lone Patriots running back whose status still appears to be up in the air. TreVeyon Henderson, Rhamondre Stevenson, and Antonio Gibson are virtually locks to make the team, but if the Patriots opt to keep a fourth running back, that job would likely go to Hasty. The veteran running back clearly has the attention of New England's front office, which claimed him off waivers in 2023, kept him around in 2024, and re-signed him to the roster just a few weeks ago. Even if he does make the team, Hasty's limited role would keep him off the fantasy radar.

Christian McCaffrey Aug 21 10:10pm CT
    Christian McCaffrey

San Francisco 49ers left tackle Trent Williams said that running back Christian McCaffrey "looks fantastic" and "looks like offensive-player-of-the-year-Christian," per Matt Barrows of The Athletic. McCaffrey has mostly received glowing reports for his training camp performance so far from teammates and outside observers alike. The 29-year-old is coming off a lost season in 2024 due to Achilles tendinitis and a PCL injury to his right knee. However, he led the NFL with 2,023 yards from scrimmage and 21 touchdowns in 2023. McCaffrey has played seven games or fewer in three of the last five seasons, but he has number one overall player in fantasy upside if he stays healthy.

    From RotoBaller

Micah Parsons Aug 21 9:40pm CT
    Micah Parsons

Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons has removed all Cowboys-related content from his X profile, per Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports. Parsons is currently engaged in a highly public feud with the Cowboys while he seeks a contract extension from the team. The 26-year-old requested a trade out of Dallas in early August, but there's been no indication that the Cowboys plan on moving him. Parsons has made an All-Pro team in each of his four NFL seasons and has finished in the top three in the Defensive Player of the Year voting three times. He's recorded 52.5 sacks in 63 career games, making him a worthy pick in IDP fantasy leagues.

    From RotoBaller

Russell Gage Aug 21 9:30pm CT
    Russell Gage

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Russell Gage Jr. (knee) is believed to have suffered a sprained MCL that will sideline him for up to ten days, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Gage Jr.'s injury adds him to a growing list of sidelined wide receivers in San Francisco. Brandon Aiyuk (knee) and Demarcus Robinson (suspension) are set to miss the start of the season, while Jauan Jennings (calf), Jacob Cowing (lower body), and Jordan Watkins (ankle) are all questionable for Week 1. Gage Jr. has not played in an NFL game since 2022, but he may be relied upon early in the season if he can quickly recover from his MCL sprain. San Francisco acquired former second-round pick Skyy Moore from the Kansas City Chiefs on Wednesday, who could be in line for more snaps with Gage Jr. sidelined.

    From RotoBaller

Marcus Mariota Aug 21 9:20pm CT
    Marcus Mariota

Washington Commanders quarterback Marcus Mariota (Achilles) is currently battling Achilles tendinitis, but the veteran expects to be ready to go for Week 1. Mariota is entering his second season as the backup to Jayden Daniels in Washington. The 31-year-old is one of the most experienced backup quarterbacks in the NFL with 74 career starts under his belt, although just 13 of those have come in the past five seasons. If Daniels were to get injured, Mariota's rushing ability (2,156 career rushing yards) would give him some fantasy appeal.

    From RotoBaller

Jalen Reagor Aug 21 9:10pm CT
    Jalen Reagor

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Jalen Reagor (lower body) returned to team drills in practice on Wednesday, according to Daniel Popper of The Athletic. Reagor has been battling through a lower-body injury since late July. The 26-year-old played in eight games for the Chargers in 2024, recording seven catches for 100 yards. With wide receivers Quentin Johnston (concussion) and Tre' Harris (undisclosed) both dealing with ailments, Reagor has a chance to make the Chargers' 53-man roster and earn playing time early in the season. He's recorded just 22 catches in his last 36 games played, so Reagor should not be on the radar of fantasy managers.

    From RotoBaller

Johnny Wilson Aug 21 8:18pm CT
    Johnny Wilson

Dynasty | Eagles wide receiver Johnny Wilson will miss the season with a knee injury. Dynasty Analysis: Wilson was making a case for playing time behind AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith but this obviously throws cold water on that idea. This could also help explain why the Eagles recently traded for John Metchie. Regardless, any sleeper value Wilson may have had in dynasty leagues has evaporated, at least for this season.

Tommy Tremble Aug 21 8:00pm CT
    Tommy Tremble

Carolina Panthers tight end Tommy Tremble (back) was activated from the physically unable to perform list on Thursday, according to Darin Gantt of Panthers.com. Gantt writes that the team is hopeful that Tremble will be able to play in Week 1 after undergoing back surgery in May. The 25-year-old is entering his fifth season with the Panthers and has recorded exactly 32 targets and 23 receptions in each of the past two years. Tremble is not a fantasy-relevant tight end, but he's a valuable player to Carolina because of his run-blocking ability. He threatens to vulture snaps and targets away from Panthers tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders, who offers far more upside as a receiver.

    From RotoBaller

Terrance Ferguson Aug 21 7:50pm CT
    Terrance Ferguson

Los Angeles Rams rookie tight end Terrance Ferguson (groin) will play in the team's final preseason game against the Cleveland Browns on Saturday, according to ESPN's Sarah Bishop. Ferguson missed more than two weeks with a groin injury, but returned to practice on Monday. The second-round pick out of Oregon has yet to play in the preseason, so Saturday will be his first taste of NFL game action. The Rams have a very deep tight end room, so Ferguson could easily start the season behind veterans Tyler Higbee and Colby Parkinson on the depth chart. The 22-year-old Ferguson is a name to keep an eye on in dynasty leagues, but he's unlikely to factor in fantasy during the 2025 season.

    From RotoBaller

Tre Harris Aug 21 7:40pm CT
    Tre Harris

Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Tre' Harris (undisclosed) did not participate in team drills during practice on Thursday, according to Daniel Popper of The Athletic. Harris left early from the team's practice on Wednesday with members of the training staff, but his exact ailment is unclear. A second-round pick out of Ole Miss, Harris has had a solid preseason and could be in line to open the season as the WR3 in Los Angeles. With Quentin Johnson (concussion) also sidelined, the Chargers could be forced to turn to veteran Jalen Reagor or rookie Keandre Lambert-Smith. If Harris' injury does not prove to be serious, he has some appeal as a high-upside late-round target in fantasy.

    From RotoBaller

Tyler Goodson Aug 21 7:30pm CT
    Tyler Goodson

Indianapolis Colts running back Tyler Goodson (elbow) did not practice on Thursday, according to James Boyd of The Athletic. Goodson injured his elbow in preseason action on Saturday against the Green Bay Packers and has not practiced since. He's unlikely to play in the preseason finale against the Cincinnati Bengals, but Goodson reportedly has a chance to be ready for Week 1. The 24-year-old has logged 45 career rush attempts for 240 yards and one touchdown across his first two NFL seasons. Colts rookie running back DJ Giddens appeared to have jumped Goodson as the primary backup to Jonathan Taylor even before Goodson's injury. As a result, Goodson has minimal fantasy appeal even as a handcuff option.

    From RotoBaller

Jalen Milroe Aug 21 7:20pm CT
    Jalen Milroe

Seattle Seahawks rookie quarterback Jalen Milroe will start and play the entirety of the team's final preseason game against the Green Bay Packers, according to Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald. A third-round pick out of Alabama, Milroe is a developmental prospect who is expected to open the season behind both Sam Darnold and Drew Lock on the Seahawks QB depth chart. In two preseason games so far, Milroe has thrown for 107 yards on 15 pass attempts and rushed for 56 yards on eight rush attempts. His dual-threat ability makes him an intriguing dynasty prospect, but he's unlikely to be fantasy-relevant in 2025.

    From RotoBaller

Josh Downs Aug 21 7:20pm CT
    Josh Downs

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs (hamstring) was held out of practice again on Thursday, per James Boyd of The Athletic. Downs exited the team's joint practice with the Green Bay Packers last Thursday with a left hamstring injury and has not practiced since. The 24-year-old is one of the better slot and short-area receivers in the NFL, so his presence on the field is crucial for Colts quarterback Daniel Jones. If Downs were to miss time, it would likely benefit the target volume for wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. and rookie tight end Tyler Warren. Assuming Downs' availability for the start of the regular season is not under threat, he profiles as a WR4 with a fairly safe floor, particularly in PPR-scoring formats.

    From RotoBaller

Spencer Rattler Aug 21 7:13pm CT
    Spencer Rattler

Dynasty | Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler will start the final preseason game for New Orleans. Dynasty Analysis: Rattler seemingly has the lead in the competition against rookie Tyler Shough but neither has done enough to exactly close the deal. Rattler will have to impress the Saints coaching staff to hold off Shough as New Orleans likely would benefit from handing the reigns to the rookie. Still, Shough just hasn't looked the part as of yet. Regardless, this looks like one of the NFL's worst rosters and neither quarterback is much of an option in dynasty leagues. Shough should certainly be on rosters and Rattler would likely merit the same should he win the job.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Justin Herbert Aug 21 6:00pm CT
    Justin Herbert

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said that quarterback Justin Herbert and the rest of the starters will not play in the preseason finale on Saturday against the San Francisco 49ers. Backup QB Trey Lance will get the start under center and will play one to two series. Taylor Heinicke will come in after Lance, followed by DJ Uiagalelei, who will play the rest of the game. Lance and Heinicke are competing for the No. 2 job this summer, although it's unclear if Lance has the leg up based on the fact that he's making the start in the preseason finale. Neither Lance nor Heinicke figure to be on the field much behind Herbert, who has been one of the toughest QBs in the league since entering the NFL in 2020. Herbert missed four games due to injury in 2023 but has started all 79 of the games he's appeared in over the last five seasons.

    From RotoBaller

Quentin Johnston Aug 21 5:40pm CT
    Quentin Johnston

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston (concussion), who suffered a scary-looking concussion in the team's second preseason game last Saturday against the Los Angeles Rams, was back at practice on Thursday, according to Kris Rhim of ESPN.com. While the 23-year-old might not be completely cleared from the league's concussion protocol, the fact that he's back on the field is a good sign that he should gain full clearance to be active for the Week 1 regular-season opener on Friday, Sept. 5, against the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs in Brazil. Johnston should go undrafted in standard 12-team fantasy leagues this fall. The former 21st overall pick in 2023 out of TCU did improve with a 55-711-8 line in 15 regular-season games (11 starts) in 2024, but he continues to struggle with drops and is fighting for the WR3 role with rookie Tre' Harris behind Ladd McConkey and Keenan Allen.

    From RotoBaller

Najee Harris Aug 21 5:30pm CT
    Najee Harris

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh was non-committall on running back Najee Harris (eye) when asked if he'll be ready for the Week 1 regular-season opener on Friday, Sept. 5, against the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs in Brazil. "When Najee is ready to play, Najee will be ready to play. Right now, to take it past today would be going over the legal limit. That would take your over the legal limit of what-ifs," Harbaugh said. Harris remains on the Non-Football Injury list after a fireworks accident on the Fourth of July injured his eye, and he was seen working out on a side field again on Wednesday. The 27-year-old's representation is saying that he'll be ready for the regular-season opener, but given the fact he's missed all of training camp and the preseason to this point, it seems likely that rookie first-rounder Omarion Hampton will be more involved than Harris in L.A.'s backfield.
