He also caught all three of his targets for an additional 23 receiving yards. Robinson's 6.8 points in PPR leagues marked the first time this year he finished with fewer than 16 points. It was stunning to see the 23-year-old struggle on the ground against the Dolphins, who entered this week with one of the NFL's worst run defenses. Robinson's woes were the product of greater offensive issues from Atlanta, as this Kirk Cousins-led offense only scored 10 points. Fantasy managers should continue to start Robinson as a solid RB1, but temper expectations if Cousins starts again next week while Robinson faces a strong Patriots run defense.

Houston Texans wide receiver Xavier Hutchinson caught five of his six targets for 69 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's Week 8 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Hutchinson took advantage of a rare opportunity to climb the depth chart with both Nico Collins (concussion) and Christian Kirk (hamstring) ruled out. The 25-year-old ultimately led the team in receiving yards and tied for the team lead in receptions. If Collins and Kirk are unable to return for Week 9 against Denver, Hutchinson could have low-end WR3/flex appeal once again, but he'd still have to continue competing with Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel for volume.

San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey rushed for just 25 yards on eight carries during Sunday's Week 8 loss against the Houston Texans. He also caught three of his six targets for an additional 43 receiving yards. McCaffrey had his worst game of the season; his 9.8 points in PPR leagues marked the first time he scored fewer than 22 points in a single game this year. This was a rare dud for McCaffrey, and part of the blame can be attributed to the quarterback position, as Mac Jones (59.4% completion rate, 193 yards, two touchdowns, one interception) struggled to put together many quality drives in place of Brock Purdy (toe). McCaffrey is still one of the most talented running backs in recent NFL history, and he should have no trouble bouncing back against a struggling Giants squad in Week 9.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. entered concussion protocol following Sunday's Week 8 contest against the Dallas Cowboys, according to Troy Renck of the Denver Post. The team never announced an injury status for Mims mid-game, so it's unclear exactly when he suffered the injury. It may have occurred with 4:39 left in the fourth quarter when Mims returned a kick 26 yards. He finished the game with two punt returns and three kick returns. On offense, he was unable to haul in his lone target. The 23-year-old faces an uphill battle to clear concussion protocol in the seven days between now and Denver's Week 9 contest against the Houston Texans. Buffalo Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir caught six of seven targets for 88 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's Week 8 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Buffalo absolutely dismantled Carolina, winning 40-9 thanks to a phenomenal outing from running back James Cook. While the Bills leaned on the rushing attack, the passing game impressed, too. That's where Shakir comes in, as he led the team in all major receiving statistics and also scored the lone receiving touchdown. The 25-year-old had his best game of the season and has now scored at least 11 fantasy points (PPR) in five of seven contests. He ranks as the overall WR31 so far and should be viewed as a mid-to-high WR3/flex option heading into an exciting AFC showdown between the Bills and Chiefs.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan caught seven of his 10 targets for 99 yards during Sunday's Week 8 contest against the Buffalo Bills. The Panthers were blown out by a score of 40-9 as Andy Dalton, who was filling in for Bryce Young (ankle), turned the ball over three times. McMillan was a rare bright spot in the defeat, pacing the team in all major receiving statistics. He set a new career-high in receptions, scored double-digit fantasy points (PPR) for the sixth time in eight games, and ranks as the overall WR16 so far. Playing in negative game script scenarios bodes well for McMillan, and it appears as though he can produce regardless of whether Young or Dalton is under center. The rookie pass catcher should be viewed as a strong WR2 option heading into Week 9 against Green Bay.

Cleveland Browns tight end Harold Fannin Jr. led the team with eight targets, six catches, 62 yards, and one touchdown during Sunday's Week 8 loss against the New England Patriots. The rookie was one of two Browns tight ends to score on National Tight Ends' Day, joining David Njoku. Unfortunately for the Browns, Fannin and Njoku were responsible for all of the scoring as Cleveland executed just two scoring drives in their 32-13 loss to the Patriots. Fannin has emerged as a viable starting tight end in fantasy football, ranking as the overall TE5 in PPR leagues so far. It's not often that we see a rookie tight end produce at such a high level, especially when they are operating in tandem with another tight end (Njoku) in a subpar offense. Nevertheless, Fannin has been one of Dillon Gabriel's favorite targets and will continue to rank as a mid-to-low TE1 on the other side of Cleveland's Week 9 bye.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (knee) is officially active for Sunday's Week 8 contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He had been listed as questionable after practicing in a limited capacity. Watson is making his NFL debut after spending the first seven weeks on injured reserve. The 26-year-old continues to be plagued by injuries as he gets ready to kick off his fourth season. The Packers have played 57 games since drafting Watson, but he's only been active for two-thirds of them (38 games). Now healthy for the first time since tearing his ACL in Week 18 of the 2024 campaign, Watson will look to contribute right away. He should eventually carve out a prominent role alongside Romeo Doubs and Matthew Golden, but he may play on a snap count in his first game back. He's worth stashing in fantasy football, but it's too early to plug him into your starting lineups.

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa experienced his worst performance of his career last week. However, Tagovailoa turned it around during Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. He completed 20-of-26 passing attempts for 205 yards with four touchdowns and zero interceptions in the victory. This was a fantastic bounce back performance for both the Dolphins and for Tagovailoa. It was his first four-score game since Week 12 of last season. He'll look to keep the good times rolling against the Baltimore Ravens next week.

New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson was finally able to break through on the ground during Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns. Before this game, Henderson was held to 27 rushing yards or less in each of his last three games. In Week 8, Henderson rushed 10 times for 75 yards in the win over the Browns. It was a nice outing for the rookie back that hasn't seen much success early in the season. The hope is that this will lead to more carries for Henderson going forward. However, he'll still be stuck splitting up the carries with Rhamondre Stevenson, so his ceiling is limited.

New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte was carrying a two game touchdown-streak into Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns. The 23-year-old was able to continue finding success during Sunday's victory. Boutte hauled in three of his five targets for 75 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. It has been a nice stretch of play for Boutte who was quiet to begin the season. He figures to be a possible WR3 for the Week 9 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

New York Jets running back Breece Hall posted an outstanding performance during Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Hall hasn't found much success on the ground lately, but had no issues in Week 8. Hall rushed 18 times for 133 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. He also hauled in two receptions for an additional seven yards through the air, but that wasn't all. The 24-year-old threw the game-winning touchdown pass to tight end Mason Taylor. Hall literally did a little bit of everything during this victory. He'll head into a bye week on a high note before playing the Cleveland Browns in Week 10.

New Orleans Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler has been benched during Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Rattler threw three interceptions last week and wasn't having much more success this weekend. He completed 15-of-21 passing attempts for 136 yards with an interception before being pulled in the second half of this game. Tyler Shough has taken over under center for at least the rest of this game. Given the Saints record, it wouldn't be shocking if Shough got a chance at the starting gig in the second half of the season.

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook rushed for 216 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries during Sunday's Week 8 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Cook had struggled in his two games prior to the Bills' bye week, but he returned from the hiatus with one of the best games of his career. He now has 753 rushing yards, 89 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns through seven games this year. It's safe to say that offseason speculation about Cook regressing was misguided. The 26-year-old continues to showcase elite rushing skills, as well as a tendency to score plenty of touchdowns. His ceiling might be a little lower next week in a neutral game script against the Kansas City Chiefs, but he's still a very strong RB1 option.

New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye completed 18 of his 24 pass attempts for 282 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception during Sunday's Week 8 win over the Cleveland Browns. He also took six sacks and rushed for 50 yards. The former No. 3 pick continues to dominate during his breakout campaign, as he now has 17 total touchdowns and just three interceptions in 2025. He is also completing passes at an elite rate, maintaining a completion percentage north of 75 percent. All the while, he has looked like one of the NFL's better rushing quarterbacks and has led the Patriots to an AFC East-leading 6-2 start. Maye's six sacks and one interception on Sunday weren't ideal, but he made up for it with his completion rate, yardage, touchdowns, and the win. The 23-year-old remains a mid-range fantasy QB1 heading into a clash with the Falcons, who just surrendered four passing touchdowns to Tua Tagovailoa.

Skattebo suffered a dislocated ankle during the first half of Sunday's Week 8 loss against the Eagles. He was quickly ruled out and hospitalized after the gruesome-looking injury.
