According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, the NFL will review the "practice and participation situation" surrounding Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (hamstring). He was initially listed as a full participant at practice on Friday, implying there was a chance he would be active in Week 8 versus the Chicago Bears. However, after the signal-caller was ruled out on Saturday, the designation was retroactively modified from "full" to "limited." The Ravens denied any malicious intent, indicating that Jackson was a full participant, although after speaking with the league office, his status was changed since he didn't take reps with the starters. Rapoport added that the NFL "reviews any matter involving a change to a player's status," suggesting there may not be anything more to this story. Still, it's something to monitor moving ahead. As of now, Jackson is expected to suit up for the Week 9 matchup with the Miami Dolphins, with Tyler Huntley taking over under center against the Bears.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. got back into the rotation in Week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys, handling three carries for 12 yards and scoring his first touchdown of the season. The touchdown came in garbage time, but it was an impressive play to reach across the goal line. Rodriguez played only one offensive snap in Week 6 against the Bears, but that could have been more related to his health, as he didn't practice at all during the week leading up to the game. He was cleared from the injury report ahead of Week 7 and should be all set for Monday night against the Chiefs. The 25-year-old has played almost exclusively on early downs this season for Washington and could mix in more with rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt going forward. Rodriguez is a better play in standard leagues because he doesn't add much as a receiver. He could find success if he gets enough opportunities against a Chiefs run defense that ranks 22nd in rush success rate (42.6%).
From RotoBaller
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge (pectoral) is no longer listed on the injury report ahead of Sunday's clash with the Miami Dolphins. The 30-year-old appeared on the Week 8 edition of the injury report because of a pec issue. However, he logged full practice sessions on Thursday and Friday. With that in mind, Hodge hasn't done much of anything for fantasy managers this season, logging 26 offensive snaps while being targeted only once. There's a chance Drake London (hip) won't play after being downgraded to questionable on Saturday. Still, even if London can't get on the field, Hodge isn't expected to benefit.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders running back Jeremy McNichols has been an important player this season, playing a vital role in pass protection and as a receiving option out of the backfield. McNichols has played at least 25% of offensive snaps over the last five weeks. He had his highest combined yardage total since Week 3 in last week's game against the Dallas Cowboys, handling two carries for 22 yards and catching two of three targets for 23 yards. The 29-year-old has recorded seven targets over the last two weeks and has made big plays when his number has been called. His involvement in the passing game keeps him somewhat relevant in deeper leagues, but he hasn't had more than five touches in any game this season. McNichols will be a touchdown-dependent option in deeper PPR formats for Monday Night Football against the Chiefs.
From RotoBaller
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Charlie Jones (ribs) is off the injury report heading into Sunday's game against the New York Jets. The wideout has been banged up all year, so his presence on the injury report isn't anything new. However, he hasn't done much for managers all season, logging only four offensive snaps, leaving him irrelevant for fantasy purposes. That's not expected to change anytime soon, with Jones in line to see the most action as a member of the special teams unit.
From RotoBaller
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Scotty Miller (finger) won't play in Sunday's meeting with the Green Bay packers. The wideout practiced in full on Wednesday. Unfortunately, he injured his finger during practice on Thursday and wasn't available for Friday's session. Miller has appeared in six games throughout the 2025 campaign. However, he hasn't done much, catching only one of two targets for nine yards, so his absence won't impact fantasy managers. Rookie Ke'Shawn Williams could be in line for extra snaps with Miller out of the equation, although he still likely won't see enough action to be relevant from a fantasy standpoint.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders rookie running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt broke out for 150 total yards and two touchdowns in Week 5 against the Chargers, but he has disappointed in the past two weeks despite favorable matchups. Croskey-Merritt is still the clear No. 1 back in Washington, posting his three highest rushing attempt and route participation rates of the season over the past three weeks. The seventh-round rookie has still been one of the most efficient runners in the league despite the two-week lull, posting the third-highest success rate (60.3%) and eighth-highest explosive rush rate (6.8%) among running backs with at least 50 carries. He's not as involved in the passing game, which lowers his ceiling a tad, but he is still capable of delivering a big fantasy performance. He'll face a Kansas City Chiefs defense that hasn't been great on a down-to-down basis, ranking 22nd in rush success rate (42.6%). Croskey-Merritt ranks as RotoBaller's RB23 in PPR leagues for Week 8.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants kicker Graham Gano (groin) has been activated off the injured reserve on Saturday. Gano is currently considered questionable to play during the Week 8 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. However, the fact the Giants didn't elevate another kicker means Gano is likely to play. Gano has been sidelined since suffering a groin injury in Week 3. Before that, Gano was sharp as he knocked down all nine of his kicks during the first three games of the season. He should offer streaming value if active for Sunday's game.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders kicker Matt Gay (back) is currently considered questionable ahead of the Week 8 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Gay is a late addition to the injury report as he wasn't on there until Saturday. The Commanders aren't currently rostering another kicker, so they'd need to sign one before Monday's game. The team will likely wait and see how Gay feels on Sunday before making a decision. Fantasy managers who have Gay rostered should probably get another kicker just in case he's unable to play.
From RotoBaller
Dallas Cowboys defensive back Trevon Diggs (concussion, knee) has been placed on the injured reserve on Saturday. Diggs sat out last week's game due to a concussion and now he'll miss at least the next four games. This is a tough blow to a Cowboys defense that was already struggling. The hope is that Diggs will return at some point in November. In the meantime, Caelen Carson figures to see an increased role in the secondary. The 23-year-old is certainly going to be a downgrade compared to Diggs, but hopefully he can step up and help.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets wide receiver Josh Reynolds (hip) was placed on the injured reserve on Saturday. Reynolds popped up on the injury report on Friday due to a hip issue. It appears that the injury was pretty serious as Reynolds will miss the next four games. That being said, Reynolds won't be able to return until the last game in November. The Jets will now be using a wide receiver group of Arian Smith, Allen Lazard, and Tyler Johnson for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Reynolds can be dropped in most fantasy formats as he wasn't doing much anyway.
From RotoBaller
Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young (ankle) is currently listed as doubtful ahead of Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Unless a miracle happens, Young figures to be watching from the sideline this weekend. However, the Panthers are hopeful that Young is only going to miss one week of action. The team is targeting Young to return for the Week 9 contest against the Green Bay Packers. In the meantime, Andy Dalton will almost certainly be under center for Carolina this weekend. The 37-year-old isn't a recommended streaming option, but hopefully Young will be back after this game.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders quarterback Marcus Mariota will make his third start of the season on Monday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs. With Jayden Daniels (hamstring) ruled out early in the week, Washington will rely on the 31-year-old quarterback for a big primetime matchup. Mariota led Washington to a 1-1 record and has been solid in both of his starts, completing 31 of 48 pass attempts for 363 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception while also adding value with his legs, with eight carries for 60 yards and a rushing score. And he'll be getting a big boost in Week 8 with both top wide receivers, Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) and Deebo Samuel Sr. (heel), cleared from the injury report and set to play on Monday. Mariota will face a Chiefs defense that just pitched a shutout in Week 7 against the Raiders, but has been mediocre against the pass outside of that game, ranking 21st in dropback success rate (48.9%). The veteran QB has value as a streamer in a potential high-scoring matchup, ranking as RotoBaller's QB14 for Week 8.
From RotoBaller
Chicago Bears kicker Cairo Santos (thigh) is currently listed as questionable ahead of the Week 8 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Santos was able to practice in full on Thursday and Friday. Despite that, Santos still carries the questionable tag into this contest. It's worth noting that the Bears haven't elevated Jake Moody from the practice squad. That means, Santos appears to be trending in the right direction for Sunday's game. Santos has missed each of the last two games due to a thigh issue. Santos could offer more value than normal this weekend considering how bad the Ravens defense has been this season.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker will face the Washington Commanders on Monday night in Week 8. Butker converted all four of his extra-point attempts and his lone field goal attempt against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7. The Chiefs kicker has missed a kick in five of seven games this season, but he's coming off a game where he went 5-for-5. Butker should be involved against the Commanders, given that the Chiefs are nearly 12-point home favorites on Monday night. The Commanders will be without their star quarterback, Jayden Daniels, which could mean more Chiefs possessions and more Butker kicks. Butker is ranked K2 in our RotoBaller rankings, making him a top-end kicker option in Week 8.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs running back Brashard Smith will take on the Washington Commanders on Monday night in Week 8. Smith was listed on the injury report with a toe injury, but practiced fully all week and is good to go for Monday. The rookie running back handled 14 carries for 39 yards and five catches for 42 yards in the Chiefs 31-0 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7. Smith got an extended run in the Kansas City blowout win, handling double-digit carries for the first time in his career. Andy Reid and the Chiefs have expressed how impressed they've been with Smith and will continue giving him more work each week. Smith could see an increased role this week with Kareem Hunt banged up with knee and ankle injuries. The rookie back will take on the Commanders, who have been middle-of-the-pack in fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs this season. Kansas City is favored by nearly 12 points at home on Monday night, so Smith could rack up garbage time carries like he did last week to go along with his work in the receiving game. Smith is ranked RB34 in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings, making him a RB3/Flex option this week with six teams on bye.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt will play against the Washington Commanders in Week 8. Hunt was banged up this week with ankle and knee injuries, back he practiced in full on Saturday and will be active for Monday night's game. Hunt handled four carries for 18 yards in the 31-0 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7. Hunt briefly exited last week's contest with an injury and was able to return, but was not needed since the Chiefs had a huge lead. The 30-year-old back has taken a backseat to Isiah Pacheco in recent weeks, handling just 10 carries in the last two games compared to 27 carries for Pacheco. That trend will likely continue given that Hunt has been the more inefficient back this season and the team has stated they'd like to get rookie Brashard Smith more involved each week. The matchup will also not help out Hunt since the Commanders have been middle-of-the-pack in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs this season. Hunt is ranked RB43 in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings and should not find his way into fantasy lineups unless there are no other options available.
From RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (knee) has been activated from injured reserve and is set to make his season debut on Sunday night when the Packers face the Pittsburgh Steelers. The former second-round pick has been on the shelf since suffering an ACL injury during the 2024 campaign. However, Watson was able to return to practice earlier this month and has finally been cleared to return to action. Last season, the North Dakota State product tallied a career-high 620 receiving yards on just 29 receptions through 15 games. With Dontayvion Wicks (calf) already ruled out and rookie Matthew Golden (hip) carrying a questionable tag, Watson could be in line for a prominent role this weekend. He is worth a look as a high-upside WR3 in all formats facing a struggling Pittsburgh secondary.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco will take on the Washington Commanders in Week 8. The Chiefs running back handled 15 carries for 57 yards and a touchdown in their 31-0 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7. Pacheco has seemingly taken over the lead role out of the Kansas City backfield, handling at least 12 carries and 50 yards in each of the past two weeks. Pacheco has quietly been efficient with his touches, averaging at least 4.5 yards per carry in more than half of his games. The struggles of the Kansas City run game early on could more likely be attributed to the inefficiency of Kareem Hunt and the team's dedication to keeping him involved. Pacheco should continue being the lead back this week against the Commanders, who have been middle-of-the-pack in fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs this season. The 26-year-old back should see a high volume of touches in a home game that the Chiefs have favored by nearly 12 points. Pacheco is ranked RB23 in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings, making him a low-end RB2 option on Monday night.
From RotoBaller
According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Atlanta Falcons have downgraded wide receiver Drake London (hip) to questionable. London was able to practice in full on Wednesday and Thursday but was limited on Friday. While he did not carry a designation on Friday's injury report, it now appears his status for Sunday's game could be in doubt. Managers should closely monitor his status leading up to Sunday's game. The former eighth overall pick is coming off a quiet showing in Week 7, where he caught just four passes for 42 yards. However, in his previous two games, London tallied 134.0 yards per game and averaged a stellar 28.4 PPR points per game during this stretch. If London were to miss Sunday's contest, Darnell Mooney would carry WR2 upside while Kyle Pitts Sr. would project as a strong TE1.
