Zay Jones Nov 1 7:50pm CT
    Zay Jones

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Zay Jones was cleared from the injury report, but it may not matter in terms of whether or not he's startable in most fantasy leagues. While he has looked better in their last two games with Jacoby Brisset under center, Jones is currently the WR95 on the year, and until those last two games, he didn't register a finish above WR61 in half-PPR formats. One thing going for him is that the Dallas Cowboys give up the most fantasy points per game to opposing receiving corps, and Brissett is starting at least one more time. With that being said, Jones is not a trustworthy start for anyone that's not in a very deep league.

Chad Ryland Nov 1 7:50pm CT
    Chad Ryland

Arizona Cardinals kicker Chad Ryland has bounced all around the fantasy kicker leaderboards this season, which makes sense given how inconsistent this offense can be. In Week 7, he finished as the K5, which was his highest finish since Week 4. Now, after their bye, the Cardinals are set to take on the Dallas Cowboys, who have given up far too many points to almost every team they've faced. That also makes them the 20th-ranked team against opposing kickers, allowing 8.75 fantasy points per matchup. Since Jacoby Brissett has been a bit more successful at moving the ball down the field, Ryland could be in for another solid week, and that makes him a startable option again for those looking for a bye week fill-in.

Zach Wilson Nov 1 7:40pm CT
    Zach Wilson

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, it's possible Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa could be benched at some point this season. Although Rapoport added Tagovailoa's "play would have to really fall" off for head coach Mike McDaniel to consider a swap, it appears "a potential benching isn't off the table." There are many calling for the signal-caller to be removed from his spot atop the depth chart. If that's the case, the Dolphins might turn to Zach Wilson. The 26-year-old, selected No. 2 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, has been far from a reliable fantasy quarterback. In 36 regular-season contests, he's thrown for 6,325 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 25 interceptions while completing a miserable 57.1% of his attempts. For now, Wilson doesn't have much value for redraft participants. That may not change even if he takes over for Tagovailoa. On the other hand, Wilson can be stashed in deep Superflex dynasty formats, especially in leagues where quarterbacks are hard to come by. It's worth noting that Rapoport indicated that rookie Quinn Ewers would also be considered as a replacement for Tagovailoa as well as the Dolphins potentially making a trade.

Michael Wilson Nov 1 7:40pm CT
    Michael Wilson

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson has been quite the disappointment so far this season. Through seven games, he still has yet to crack double-digit fantasy points in PPR leagues and hasn't broken into the top 40 either. Even though he has seen nine targets in the two games that Jacoby Brissett has started, that's turned into a total of 84 yards and no visits to the end zone. The Dallas Cowboys, in Week 9, present one of the easiest matchups for the Cardinals' passing game, but Wilson still doesn't project higher than WR60. Fantasy managers should be able to find better options on the waiver wire unless it's a deeper league. In that case, godspeed.

    From RotoBaller

Trey McBride Nov 1 7:30pm CT
    Trey McBride

Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride continues to be a set-it-and-forget-it type of player as he enters Week 9 as the overall TE4. In his last game before their Week 8 bye, McBride posted a huge game with 10 catches for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Whether it's Kyler Murray (foot) or Jacoby Brissett under center, he remains the number-one pass-catching option. In Week 9, he takes on the Dallas Cowboys, who are ranked 12th against the position and have only allowed two touchdowns. This is also the only part of the defense that's ranked better than 30th, so there should be room for McBride to get open. Fantasy managers should continue to roll with McBride as long as he's on the field.

    From RotoBaller

Michael Carter Nov 1 7:30pm CT
    Michael Carter

Arizona Cardinals running back Michael Carter has rejoined the team and looks to split most of the carries with Bam Knight again. In their last two games before the bye, Carter saw 20 touches compared to Knight's 29, so he should still see some action even though Emari Demercado has been cleared from the injury report. Especially after it was reported that he was getting first-team reps in the last two days of practice. Despite the three-headed committee in the backfield, Carter gives some low-end flex value since the Dallas Cowboys allow the second-most fantasy points to opposing backfields. Plus, he usually tends to see more work on passing plays than Knight.

Marvin Harrison Jr. Nov 1 7:20pm CT
    Marvin Harrison Jr.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. has had a tumultuous season so far, which is on par with how his rookie year went as well. The former Buckeye put up a WR38 performance in Week 7 before their bye, which was noticeably better than his week prior. Working in his favor this week is that the Dallas Cowboys are the worst-ranked defense against opposing receivers. They give an average of 41.49 fantasy points per matchup to the position and have given up a total of 96 receptions for 1,378 yards and 15 touchdowns. With Jacoby Brissett on the field, Harrison profiles as a mid-level WR2.

    From RotoBaller

Jacoby Brissett Nov 1 7:00pm CT
    Jacoby Brissett

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett is set to start another game, and he draws a favorable matchup. The veteran QB has started the last two games and amassed 599 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception while throwing 52-for-80 and 9 carries for 45 yards in that time. Despite going 0-2, Brissett has looked better than Kyler Murray this season and has a 97.7 passer rating compared to Murray's 88.6. In their Week 9 matchup, the Dallas Cowboys give up the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks at 24.93 per game and have allowed 20 passing touchdowns compared to just four interceptions. With the receiving corps ready to play, Brissett comes in as a high-end QB2 and could be a solid streaming option for fantasy managers needing a fill-in.

Jaelan Phillips Nov 1 7:00pm CT
    Jaelan Phillips

According to NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe, the Philadelphia Eagles are one of the teams mentioned that are interested in trading for Miami Dolphins linebacker Jaelan Phillips. Wolfe indicated previously that the Fins have "been hesitant" about a potential trade involving the 26-year-old. However, with the Dolphins not expected to do much throughout the remainder of the 2025 campaign, it appears the team may be looking toward bolstering the roster in the years ahead. The Eagles have had trouble getting after opposing quarterbacks this season. Still, while Philadelphia could benefit significantly from such an acquisition, it's unknown what Miami is seeking in return. Phillips has spent his entire career with the Dolphins since entering the National Football League in 2021, totaling 177 tackles, 26 sacks, three fumble recoveries, and one interception.

Zonovan Knight Nov 1 7:00pm CT
    Zonovan Knight

Arizona Cardinals running back Bam Knight was named the starter for their Week 9 contest against the Dallas Cowboys, which gives him a juicy matchup to work with. The third-year pro has been upping his yards per carry in each appearance this season and finished Week 7 with his best game yet before the bye. Fortunately for Knight and fantasy managers with him on their roster, he takes on a defense that's ranked 31st against opposing backfields this season. The Cowboys are allowing 28.36 fantasy points per game to the position, and Emari Demercado doesn't seem like much of a threat to take away too many carries. Knight is projected as a low-end RB2 in this matchup, which makes him startable in most leagues.

    From RotoBaller

Tua Tagovailoa Nov 1 6:40pm CT
    Tua Tagovailoa

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa could be benched "at some point" this season. While Rapoport added that his "play would have to really fall off" for that to happen, a possible demotion is "not off the table." The 27-year-old has thrown for 1,779 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions during the 2025 campaign. Although Tagovailoa has had at least a few decent fantasy showings this season, he has struggled on several occasions. For now, the signal-caller will remain under center. However, it appears he's on a short leash, so he'll need to play well in upcoming meetings with the Buffalo Bills and Washington Commanders. If not, Zach Wilson or Quinn Ewers may claim the top spot on the depth chart.

    From RotoBaller

Jaylen Waddle Nov 1 5:50pm CT
    Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle could be on the move ahead of the trade deadline. Originally, the Dolphins had no plans of moving on from Waddle, but things have changed in Miami. Former general manager Chris Grier didn't want to trade Waddle, but he's no longer making the decisions for the Dolphins. The organization knows the situation they're in and that young talent such as Waddle can bring a haul back to Miami. Basically, the Dolphins would need to be blown away to give up Waddle, but it's something they'll consider. It depends on the organization, but a move elsewhere could be good for Waddle's fantasy value. This is a situation to monitor during the upcoming trade deadline.

Hassan Haskins Nov 1 5:30pm CT
    Hassan Haskins

Los Angeles Chargers running back Hassan Haskins (hamstring) was placed on the injured reserve on Saturday. Haskins was already ruled out for Week 9 due to a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 7. Clearly, Haskins has suffered a significant enough injury to sideline him for the next four games. His next chance to play will be Week 14 versus the Philadelphia Eagles. The Chargers backfield is extremely banged up at the moment. Kimani Vidal will remain the workhorse back moving forward with Omarion Hampton (ankle) and Najee Harris (Achilles) both still sidelined. Haskins wasn't doing enough when healthy to warrant holding through the injury.

    From RotoBaller

Marcedes Lewis Nov 1 5:30pm CT
    Marcedes Lewis

Denver Broncos tight end Marcedes Lewis has been elevated from the practice squad ahead of the Week 9 matchup against the Houston Texans. Lewis joined the practice squad earlier in the week and is now on the active roster a few days later. The Broncos are banged up at tight end and could use another body for this weekend. The 41-year-old is unlikely to do much in terms of receiving as he hasn't hauled in more than six receptions in a single season since 2022. Lewis figures to be mainly a blocking option, so he'll be off the fantasy radar.

    From RotoBaller

Emari Demercado Nov 1 5:20pm CT
    Emari Demercado

Arizona Cardinals running back Emari Demercado (ankle) doesn't carry an injury designation into Monday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. Demercado was limited through the first two practices of the week. However, Demercado was able to get through a full session on Saturday. After that, Demercado was cleared to suit up for Monday's Week 9 matchup in Dallas. The 26-year-old is currently stuck in the middle of a committee in the backfield. In Week 5, Demercado only touched the ball three times, but he rushed for 81 yards. Sadly, Demercado isn't touching the ball enough right now to warrant starting in any formats.

Matt Prater Nov 1 5:10pm CT
    Matt Prater

Buffalo Bills kicker Matt Prater remains a high-value kicker heading into a matchup with a Chiefs defense that ranks third against kickers in fantasy scoring this season. Prater has managed to score seven or more points in all but one matchup this season. With the Bills offense running at full speed, Prater has managed to connect on 12 of 13 field goals this season. He has averaged over 9 points per game for fantasy purposes, and should see multiple field goal opportunities in a game that will likely be decided in the fourth quarter. The weather outlook is clear skies tomorrow, setting up for a high-scoring matchup between two high-powered offenses.

Dalton Kincaid Nov 1 4:50pm CT
    Dalton Kincaid

Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid appears ready for a full workload as the team prepares to take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Last week, Kincaid was eased back into the lineup with just a 22% snap share against the overmatched Carolina Panthers. This week, the Bills will need their star at full speed as they take on their biggest AFC competition. In the playoffs last season, Kincaid hauled in just two passes on four targets for 13 yards. Quarterback Josh Allen will look to get Kincaid more involved early in this week's matchup, as the young tight end's impact on this offense continues to grow.

Brock Bowers Nov 1 4:40pm CT
    Brock Bowers

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers (knee) is finally logging full practices and seems poised for a breakout game against a depleted Jacksonville Jaguars defense in Week 9. A healthy Bowers could give quarterback Geno Smith the dominant weapon he's been lacking in the passing game all season. Bowers was viewed as the top option at the position coming into the season, and could finally start to deliver on the potential that owners were excited to see. Look for the second-year weapon to work across all three levels of the defense, and provide the heavy target share we saw before his Week 1 injury.

    From RotoBaller

Jakobi Meyers Nov 1 4:30pm CT
    Jakobi Meyers

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (knee) is an interesting flex play heading into Week 9 despite looming trade rumors. Meyers has turned 43 targets into 29 receptions for 329 yards despite missing the team's Week 7 matchup with the Chiefs. The disgruntled receiver offers flex upside this week as the Raiders take on a banged-up Jaguars secondary. Meyers has one last game before the trade deadline, and could send a message to head coaches across the league with a big game Sunday. Look for the team to keep Meyers involved early, as the team tries to maximize their return on a potential deal on Tuesday.

    From RotoBaller

Tre Tucker Nov 1 4:20pm CT
    Tre Tucker

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker has not found consistency due to Geno Smith's struggles to adapt with his new team. Tucker has failed to eclipse 10 fantasy points in five of his seven games this year, but has high upside against a bottom-ten fantasy defense against opposing receivers this season. The Jaguars dynamic linebacker Devin Lloyd (calf) is questionable, while defensive backs Eric Murray (neck) and Travis Hunter (knee) are out. With so many injury concerns in Jacksonville, Tucker could emerge as a sneaky Week 9 flex play.
