Tyler Shough May 22 2:30pm CT
    Tyler Shough

New Orleans Saints quarterbacks Tyler Shough and Spencer Rattler have been splitting first-team reps at OTAs this offseason, according to head coach Kellen Moore. Shough, who spent time at three universities over seven years in college, was the team's second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Rattler was a fifth-round pick in last year's draft and appeared in seven games last season, completing 57% of his passes for 1,317 yards with four touchdowns and five interceptions. Shough should be viewed as the favorite to win the starting job, but the Saints' staff likely wants him to "earn" it. It's worth noting that 2023 draft pick Jake Haener (oblique) is dealing with an injury suffered earlier this week. Even if Shough exceeds expectations as a rookie, it would be surprising if he's on the fantasy football radar in single-QB setups.

Rashid Shaheed May 22 2:20pm CT
    Rashid Shaheed

New Orleans Saints wide receivers Chris Olave (head) and Rashid Shaheed (knee) look fully recovered during OTAs, according to team beat writer Matthew Paras. Olave missed nine games last season due to multiple head injuries/concussions, while Shaheed's season ended in Week 6 after he suffered a torn meniscus. Both New Orleans wideouts are explosive play-makers with blazing speed, but health will be a concern in 2025. Additionally, they are likely to be catching passes from rookie quarterback Tyler Shough for most of the year, and rookie signal-callers traditionally struggle to support multiple fantasy-relevant pass-catchers. All that said, their positive injury updates early in the offseason are promising. Olave, priced as a mid-range WR3, could present value if Shough exceeds expectations. Shaheed remains a late-round best ball dart throw.

Abdul Carter May 22 2:10pm CT
    Abdul Carter

The New York Giants officially signed linebacker Abdul Carter to his rookie contract on Thursday. The No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft out of Penn State inked a four-year, fully guaranteed deal worth $45.3 million. Carter was viewed by some as the No. 1 overall player in the draft class after he finished his collegiate career with a 68-tackle, 12-sack season in 2025. Carter's arrival strengthens New York's front seven, which could be one of the best units in the league with the help of Dexter Lawrence and Brian Burns.

    From RotoBaller

Aaron Rodgers May 22 1:00pm CT
    Aaron Rodgers

Pittsburgh Steelers president Art Rooney II said on April 1 that the team will wait "not forever, but a little while longer" on free-agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers to make a decision, and he made a similar statement during the owners' meetings on Wednesday. "A little while longer. I'll say the same thing," Rooney said. So, basically, not much has changed. It remains to be seen if the 41-year-old future Hall of Famer actually wants to continue his playing career, but if he decides to play for another season, it will almost certainly be in the Steel City. If Rodgers chooses to hang up his cleats, the Steelers will be in a pretty dire situation under center with only Mason Rudolph and sixth-round rookie Will Howard as their primary options at QB. A soft deadline for Rodgers to make a decision will be in July before the start of training camp.

    From RotoBaller

Joe Burrow May 22 12:50pm CT
    Joe Burrow

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is 100% physically this offseason. "I feel great," Burrow said. "This is the best that I've felt in the offseason. Just like every year, trying to get better, trying to get stronger, faster, healthier. Try to find ways that you can optimize your health throughout the whole season, not hurt as much. I'm in a good spot." Last year at this time, Burrow was worried about his "football mortality" and was recovering from surgery he had on his right wrist that impacted him early on. The 28-year-old posted career-highs in completion percentage (71%), passing yards (4,918) and TD:INT ratio (43:9) in 2024 despite missing out on the playoffs. Rushing prowess isn't part of Burrow's game, but the passing volume should be there to give him top-five QB upside in fantasy with excellent aerial targets.

    From RotoBaller

Jermaine Burton May 22 12:50pm CT
    Jermaine Burton

Cincinnati Bengals second-year wide receiver Jermaine Burton, who is coming off a tumultuous rookie campaign that saw him suspended, evicted and left behind on a road trip, has slowly made an impression on quarterback Joe Burrow and head coach Zac Taylor, according to The Athletic's Paul Dehner Jr. Burrow has pointed out Burton's growth in "maturity" as he handles his business this spring. "All he can handle is the present at this point," Taylor said. "I think he's done a good job of that this offseason. He's been in the building. He's in the building outside of work hours, doing his own thing, prehabbing to get his body right. He has attacked practice the right way, and that is what you can control right now, so I appreciate that much." It's a step in the right direction for the 23-year-old former third-rounder, but Burton has a ways to go to get back in the team's good graces.

    From RotoBaller

Jalen Ramsey May 22 12:20pm CT
    Jalen Ramsey

The Miami Dolphins continue to explore trade options for cornerback Jalen Ramsey this offseason, but sources told NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe that "nothing is imminent." Wolfe was also told to keep an eye on the July 1 date, as the Dolphins would take over a $25 million salary cap hit if they were to trade Ramsey before July 1. That number drops to under $7 million if Miami trades the 30-year-old veteran defensive back after July 1. "Relationships are hard," defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver said in response to a question as to why the Dolphins are looking to move the seven-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Star in the first place. The former fifth overall pick in 2016 is still playing at a high level, and this isn't about him wanting more money, but he simply wants to move on at this point. The Rams, Falcons and Panthers are three potential landing spots for Ramsey. Stay tuned.

Aidan Hutchinson May 22 12:10pm CT
    Aidan Hutchinson

Detroit Lions star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson (leg) told reporters on Thursday that he's fully cleared from his leg injury, which is a significant announcement that could help him land a blockbuster contract. Defensive line coach Kacy Rodgers also recently said that Hutchinson has looked "really good" during voluntary offseason workouts after the 24-year-old suffered a fractured tibia and fibula around seven months ago, ending his season. Hutchinson was initially given a timetable of four to six months, but he appears to be ahead of scheduled. He has been running at full speed and taking part in individual drills, so barring a setback once the pads come on, Hutchinson should be ready to go for Week 1 this fall. The former second overall pick in 2022 out of Michigan has quickly proven to be an elite edge rusher in the NFL with 28.5 sacks in his first three seasons over 39 regular-season starts.

    From RotoBaller

Devon Achane May 22 12:10pm CT
    Devon Achane

NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe says that Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane could be in line for even more of a workhorse role on offense in 2025 after proving to be one of the most explosive playmakers at the position in his first two years in the league. Achane has an opportunity to be Miami's clear RB1 after veteran Raheem Mostert joined the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency this offseason. He's been clear about his goals moving forward, too, stating that he thinks he can be a 1,000-yard rusher and a 500-yard receiver. Achane was already a top-10 RBI in PPR scoring in 2024 with 907 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns and 78 receptions, 592 receiving yards and six receiving TDs. There are questions about whether the 5-foot-9, 188-pounder can handle that big of a workload, but Miami's coaching staff isn't worried. Achane's fantasy arrow is pointing upward as a strong RB1.

Jake Haener May 22 8:30am CT
    Jake Haener

New Orleans Saints quarterback Jake Haener (oblique) reportedly was injured while throwing extra passes after practice on Wednesday. He underwent an MRI which revealed a strain, but luckily Haener avoided an oblique tear. The expectation is that Haener is going to be shut down until the start of training camp. The Saints want to give him time to rest and want to avoid making this a bigger injury than it is. Haener is currently in a three-way competition for the starting quarterback gig with Spencer Rattler and second-round pick Tyler Shough. Honestly, Haener was probably already third on the depth chart, so this injury isn't going to help his chances. However, Haener should get a chance to prove himself in camp.

    From RotoBaller

Christian Wilkins May 22 8:00am CT
    Christian Wilkins

Las Vegas Raiders defensive tackle Christian Wilkins (foot) is currently working his way back from a fractured foot he suffered last season. The injury limited Wilkins to five games, but Wilkins is hopeful to get in a full season in 2025. The organization is aware that this is a significant injury and they plan to continue being careful with Wilkins. The Raiders believe that Wilkins should be ready to resume practicing in August. Wilkins is in the second year of a four year deal that included over $80 million in guaranteed money. That being said, the Raiders have a lot invested in Wilkins and are hopeful he can be a difference maker on defense once he's back to full strength.

Garrett Wilson May 22 7:40am CT
    Garrett Wilson

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson is expected to see a larger workload next season. Head coach Aaron Glenn recently said during a press conference that they want to get Wilson the ball as much as possible. He didn't really add on much to that statement, but it shouldn't be surprising that the Jets want to get their best wideout the ball as often as possible. Despite some lackluster play at quarterback last season, Wilson finished with 101 receptions, 1,104 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns in 17 games. The Jets are hopeful that Justin Fields can give them a better performance under center this upcoming season. Wilson might creep his way into the WR1 discussion, but for now is a safe WR2 in fantasy formats.

    From RotoBaller

Michael Barrett May 21 7:10pm CT
    Michael Barrett

The Las Vegas Raiders have signed free agent linebacker Michael Barrett to an undisclosed contract. Josh Alper of NBC Sports reported the news. Wesley Steiner was waived in a corresponding move. The Carolina Panthers selected the Michigan product in the seventh round of the 2024 draft, but the team traded him to Seattle in August for defensive back Michael Jackson. Barrett spent the 2024 season split between the practice squads of the Seahawks, Browns, and Packers, and was activated by Green Bay in Week 18. However, he did not play. The 25-year-old figures to provide the Raiders some depth at linebacker as they continue to shuffle around their defense.

    From RotoBaller

Tyleik Williams May 21 7:00pm CT
    Tyleik Williams

The Detroit Lions have signed rookie defensive lineman Tyleik Williams to a four-year contract worth over $16.48 million. Williams was the No. 28 selection in last month's draft. A two-year starter at Ohio State, he'll join five other Lions rookies who have inked their deals -- leaving second-round guard Tate Ratledge the only one unsigned. The 22-year-old is part of a loaded Detroit defensive front, so it may be tough for him to garner a ton of playing time early on. Teammates DJ Reader and Alim McNeil are solid options up the middle, capping his upside to begin his career. Still, his athleticism and prowess in the run game should keep him on the field for now and push him into starter territory eventually.

    From RotoBaller

Derrick Harmon May 21 6:40pm CT
    Derrick Harmon

First-round rookie defensive lineman Derrick Harmon has signed a four-year, fully guaranteed, $17.97 million deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh has now officially locked up all seven of its rookie picks from April's draft. The 21-year-old was a disruptive force up the middle in college, but could spend time off the edge with the Steelers. In fact, he's currently listed as one of the team's starting defensive ends across from veteran Cameron Heyward. Harmon undoubtedly has the pass-rushing chops to do damage from there. However, he figures to spend more time in the interior with linebackers T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith typically occupying the outside. It's not a bad problem for Pittsburgh to have with Keeanu Benton slotted in at nose tackle.

    From RotoBaller

Cam Ward May 21 6:20pm CT
    Cam Ward

Jim Wyatt of TennesseeTitans.com reports that the Tennessee Titans have signed quarterback Cam Ward to his rookie deal. The first overall pick of April's draft inked a four-year, $48.75 million contract with a $32.1 million signing bonus. Though the Miami alum has been splitting reps evenly with teammate Will Levis thus far in the offseason, there is little reason to believe he won't be able to overtake him come the start of the year. It isn't guaranteed, but unless Levis has significantly improved since his playing time last season, the draft capital and talent will likely prevail. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect Ward to impact fantasy lineups immediately, but if he opts to scramble often early on, it would be a big boost to his floor.

    From RotoBaller

Luther Burden III May 21 2:30pm CT
    Luther Burden III

Chicago Bears wide receiver Luther Burden III (undisclosed) is not practicing on Wednesday as he deals with a soft-tissue injury, according to head coach Ben Johnson. Johnson said, "It remains to be seen" when the rookie from Missouri will return to action. Burden was selected in the second round of last month's draft after compiling 192 receptions for 2,263 yards and 21 touchdowns in 38 career games. He added 34 carries for 234 yards and four scores as a runner. While Burden is an exciting player with the ball in his hands, it's tough to get too optimistic about his fantasy outlook in 2025. Caleb Williams is unproven at quarterback, and the Chicago pass-catching group is crowded with DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, Cole Kmet, Colston Loveland, and D'Andre Swift. He's a solid dynasty rookie draft pick at cost, but it would be a surprise if he's a consistent producer for redraft leagues in Year 1.

    From RotoBaller

Terry McLaurin May 21 2:20pm CT
    Terry McLaurin

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin was not at Wednesday's practice, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz. The 29-year-old has been a full participant in offseason workouts before this absence, but this is a situation to monitor as he heads into the final year of his contract. McLaurin's contract ranks 16th among wideouts in average salary ($23.2 million), and he could be looking for long-term security with a pay bump toward the top of the position after an 82-catch, 1,096-yard, 13-touchdown season in 2024. The former third-round pick has tallied five consecutive 1,000-yard campaigns and is finally playing with a high-level quarterback in rising sophomore Jayden Daniels. Fantasy managers should expect any issues to be resolved ahead of this season, and McLaurin has WR1 upside in Washington's explosive offense.

    From RotoBaller

Garrett Wilson May 21 2:00pm CT
    Garrett Wilson

Speaking on the potential for a new contract, New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson said, "I'm hopeful to be a Jet for life," according to team reporter Rich Cimini. The 2022 first-round pick out of Ohio State is eligible for a contract extension following his third NFL campaign. With lackluster quarterback play between Zach Wilson, Mike White, Joe Flacco, Aaron Rodgers, Trevor Siemian, and Tim Boyle, Wilson has racked up 279 receptions (469 targets) for 3,249 yards and 14 touchdowns in 51 career games. He ranks 10th among all players in receiving yards since entering the league, so the organization would surely like to keep him long term. Entering 2025, Wilson will catch passes from Justin Fields, who was his college quarterback in 2019 and 2020. While Fields has been a questionable passer throughout his NFL career, Wilson should be the dominant target-hog in the New York offense. He remains a WR2 with WR1 upside for fantasy football.

    From RotoBaller

Tanner McKee May 21 1:50pm CT
    Tanner McKee

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Tanner McKee is likely to be the direct backup to Jalen Hurts in 2025 despite the team drafting Kyle McCord (Syracuse) in the sixth round of last month's NFL Draft. The team's decision to trade Kenny Pickett to the Cleveland Browns signals confidence in McKee, who was a sixth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Stanford. McKee appeared in two games (one start) last year, completing 30 of his 45 passing attempts for 323 yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions. While he's not on the fantasy football radar as a backup, it's worth noting that Hurts missed Weeks 16 and 17 in 2022 due to injury before sitting out Week 17 again in 2024. We've seen his backups, such as Gardner Minshew and Pickett, deliver fantasy-relevant performances in his absence, so McKee could be one of the top backup QBs to monitor in deeper superflex or two-QB formats.
