The Jacksonville Jaguars could be in for a shootout with the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2, with quarterback Trevor Lawrence succeeding in fantasy because of it. After a 26-10 blowout victory on the back of the defense and run game led to disappointing 10 point fantasy day, Lawrence will be looking to right the ship in a game where the game script should favor more passing. The Jaguars QB has always shown potential to succeed in fantasy with his arm talent and solid rushing ability, and now has elite weapons at his disposal. If he were to break out early this season, this week seems like the prime week to do so. Lawrence should be viewed as a high-end QB2 with QB1 upside this week against the Bengals.

Los Angeles Rams kicker Joshua Karty is not a top fantasy option for Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans. Karty has been tough to trust on a week-by-week basis in his young career, leaving fantasy managers looking elsewhere for a high-ceiling option at the kicker position. Karty only attempted two kicks -- both successful extra points -- in the season opener, leaving him with a high success rate but low points total. He does carry more upside into Week 2 against a struggling Titans team, but he's merely a fringe top-15 fantasy option. He's startable in leagues with at least 14 teams but can probably be avoided in smaller formats.

The Seattle Seahawks have named running back Zach Charbonnet a team captain for Week 2's matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The third-year back handled 12 carries for 47 yards and a touchdown in Seattle's 17-13 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Charbonnet was one of the biggest fantasy talking points from Week 1 after out-snapping and outproducing Kenneth Walker III, fueling speculation about a changing of the guard in the Seahawks' backfield. Reports before the opener suggested Charbonnet would be "more involved" this season, and his captain designation could be another sign of his growing role.

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is not a top fantasy option for Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans. Instead, he ranks as a low-end QB2. First of all, the Titans' passing defense showed major strides in Week 1, intercepting Bo Nix twice. This was the lone bright spot for a Tennessee team that struggled essentially everywhere else. Additionally, the Rams are favored to win, so they could adopt a run-heavy approach that aims to drain the clock. If so, we'll see fewer attempts from Stafford through the air. With a respectable matchup and potentially positive game script, Stafford, who lacks rushing upside, drops to the fringe top-24 range.

New York Jets running back Isaiah Davis won't be on the fantasy radar this weekend when his team takes on the visiting Buffalo Bills. As expected, Davis operated as New York's third option in their ground attack in Week 1. However, the touch split was more drastic than initially anticipated. Incumbent starter Breece Hall carried the ball 19 times, while quarterback Justin Fields attempted 12 rushes of his own. Davis and Braelon Allen combined for just eight touches, with the latter ceding four to his second-year counterpart. If either Allen or Hall were to miss time, Davis should step in as the de facto change-of-pace option, particularly with Kene Nwangwu (hamstring) dealing with an injury. For now, though, his role is too limited to be viable for fantasy. The 23-year-old is RotoBaller's PPR RB70 ahead of this weekend.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown reportedly drew interest from multiple teams this offseason, per The Athletic's Dianna Russini, but general manager Howie Roseman shut down all trade inquiries. Brown is coming off his least productive season since 2021, missing time with a hamstring injury while the Eagles leaned on a more run-heavy attack. He opened 2025 slowly as well, managing just one catch in Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys, though Philadelphia still pulled out the win. Despite the sluggish start, there's no expectation of a trade, and Brown should be viewed as a high-end WR2 heading into the Eagles' Super Bowl rematch with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins caught three of his four targets for 33 yards in the win over the Cleveland Browns. The wideout has been known to have some off weeks throughout his career. However, he wasn't the only one who struggled, with Joe Burrow throwing for 113 yards. Teammate, Ja'Marr Chase, didn't play much better, with the former LSU Tiger amassing only two grabs. All things considered, the Bengals likely did some work during the week leading up to Sunday's clash with the Jacksonville Jaguars, meaning there is a good chance the offense turns it around. While that doesn't mean Higgins will see the most attention from Burrow in Week 2, there's still reason to believe he'll perform at a higher level, considering Sunday's contest may be the highest-scoring game on the schedule.

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud III garnered five targets in Week 1, turning them into three receptions for 51 yards with a long of 24 yards. That's about as good as one could hope for from the veteran receiver, and although the team gets Darnell Mooney (shoulder) back in the mix this week, Casey Washington (concussion) will be out with a concussion, and Washington drew six targets in Week 1. It likely means about the same should be expectedof McCloud in Week 2 on the road against the Vikings, but with his targets typicallyof the shortvariety and not usually a threat to score (one touchdown in '24 on 62 receptions), the 28-year-old is relegated to the WR5 range or a low-end Flex option in PPR leagues.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin was back on the practice field Saturday ahead of Monday night's matchup with the Houston Texans. Godwin has been working his way back from a dislocated ankle suffered in Week 7 of last season, an injury that required multiple surgeries and delayed his return. In his absence, rookie wideout Emeka Egbuka has capitalized, scoring twice in Week 1, including the game-winner. While Godwin isn't expected back until after Week 4, this ramp-up period is a strong step toward him being a full participant in games once he is cleared.

New York Jets wide receiver Tyler Johnson is slated to command an elevated workload in this Sunday's home matchup with the Buffalo Bills. Johnson - like many of New York's receiving options - picked up minimal work in last weekend's loss to the Steelers. He pulled in both looks for 31 yards, but was a distant third in snapshare (33) behind teammates Garrett Wilson (64) and Josh Reynolds (hamstring [62]). Reynolds will miss Week 2's meeting with Buffalo, meaning Johnson should see an uptick in snaps. Even with the projected increase in work, the University of Minnesota product could fall victim to his team's desire to establish the run. Quarterback Justin Fields attempted only 22 passes in Week 1, and the Baltimore Ravens put up 40 points on Buffalo while Lamar Jackson threw it just 19 times. Johnson is RotoBaller's PPR WR137 in this week's ranks.

New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs continues to have some fantasy appeal for Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins. Diggs was out-snapped and out-produced by Kayshon Boutte, but the veteran still turned in a solid showing of his own with seven targets, six catches, and 57 yards. We can expect similar usage and productivity from Diggs this week as he takes on the Dolphins, who were ripped to pieces by the Indianapolis Colts last week. There's still a good chance that Boutte and perhaps even Hunter Henry remain ahead of Diggs in the pecking order, but with a favorable matchup on tap, he can still carve out a fantasy-relevant role. He ranks as a low-end WR3/flex option this week.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow didn't play well in the AFC North showdown with the Browns. The signal-caller would go on to finish with only 113 yards and one touchdown off 14-for-23 (60.9%) passing while adding three yards off two carries. Despite the underwhelming performance, the Bengals managed to pull off the win. Without question, his subpar showing in Week 1 left a sour taste in the mouths of fantasy managers. Heading into Week 2, Burrow and the rest of the offense will look to get it together. The 2020 No. 1 overall pick has had success versus the Jags during his career (two meetings), tossing for a combined 648 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Granted, his previous accomplishments against Jacksonville doesn't necessarily mean he'll match the same level of production. However, with this one expected to be the highest-scoring contest on the slate, both quarterbacks may be throwing until the end, meaning Burrow could play better this time around. Keep him starting in all fantasy setups.

New England Patriots wide receiver DeMario Douglas is not a reliable option in most fantasy football leagues against the Miami Dolphins this week. While Douglas did command seven targets and score a touchdown in Week 1, he caught just two passes and finished the game with negative yardage. The receiver has never been a major touchdown contributor, so we should pay more attention to his reception and yardage totals, neither of which were promising. The 16 percent target share is solid, but Douglas is still behind Kayshon Boutte, Stefon Diggs, and Hunter Henry in the pecking order. Even with a favorable matchup on tap, Douglas can't be trusted. Managers should leave him on the bench in Week 2.

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase had a lousy performance in Week 1 versus the Browns. The former LSU Tiger was targeted five times, his fewest since Week 2 of the 2024 campaign. Even worse, he had only two catches for 26 yards. To be fair, the entire offense struggled during the AFC North encounter, with quarterback Joe Burrow throwing for only 113 yards and one touchdown. Chase hasn't been immune to subpar showings throughout his career. With that said, unless this trend continues, which it likely won't, there's no reason he should be sitting on fantasy benches in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Keep him starting in all fantasy formats. Of course, that should be obvious to most fantasy participants.

New England Patriots tight end Austin Hooper can be left on waivers in most fantasy leagues ahead of his Week 2 matchup against the Miami Dolphins. New England does operate out of two-tight end sets often, which allowed Hooper to have plenty of fantasy-relevant showings in 2024. However, we have not seen him demonstrate as much productivity this season as he caught his lone target for 10 yards in the season opener. Even though he works his way onto the field, Hooper is a rung below fellow tight end Hunter Henry in the pecking order. He can be avoided in Week 2.

New York Jets running back Braelon Allen projects again to play second fiddle in the team's backfield this Sunday when they take on the Buffalo Bills at home. The 21-year-old was able to punch in a rushing score last weekend in their loss to the Steelers, but was the clear-cut second option behind running mate Breece Hall. The latter out-touched the former 21-6, and Allen did not receive a target in the passing game. Even if he does operate as New York's goal line back - which has not been noted or confirmed - that role would not guarantee fantasy points as he'll be subject to Justin Fields stealing touches in that area. For now, Allen should continue to mix in behind Hall as the foremost change-of-pace option. While that's the case, his value will come primarily as a high-end handcuff. New York Jets running back Breece Hall will look to build off his strong start this Sunday when his team hosts their division rival, the Buffalo Bills, at MetLife Stadium. The Jets' offense was flying high in Week 1 despite ultimately losing out in a shootout to former teammate Aaron Rodgers. Hall saw new quarterback Justin Fields rush in two scores in the loss, although he operated as New York's primary rusher, toting 19 carries to a combined eight for backfield mates Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis. Moreover, he saw four targets - the second-most on the team. The 24-year-old boasted just one outing of over 100 rushing yards in 2024, and he'll get a chance to eclipse the century mark again this weekend. Buffalo was torched by the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1 for 238 yards on the ground, and Hall and Fields could give the team fits again when they visit East Rutherford, New Jersey. He's a fringe RB1 - RotoBaller's PPR RB11 - ahead of Week 2's slate.

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers (back) has been cleared for Week 2's divisional matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Nabers saw elite volume in the opener, drawing 12 targets, but managed just five catches for 71 yards against Washington. Dallas, now under defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus, played zone coverage on more than 95% of snaps in Week 1 and successfully bottled up A.J. Brown. That said, Nabers was dominant against zone looks in college and graded as the top rookie receiver versus zone coverage in 2024. If the Giants' offensive line can give Russell Wilson time, Nabers has a clear path to WR1 production this week.

Fantasy managers can expect New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson to garner another huge workload in Week 2's meeting with the visiting Buffalo Bills. The Ohio State product displayed excellent chemistry with his quarterback, Justin Fields, during their Week 1 loss to the Steelers. Wilson was the only Jets' pass-catcher to command more than four looks (nine) - pulling in a whopping 41% of Fields' targets. With fellow wideout Josh Reynolds (hamstring) deemed inactive, Fields could further lean on Wilson in a tough outing with the Bills. Despite the less-than-ideal matchup, he'll continue to be a target vacuum, which bodes well for his fantasy value. Perhaps more importantly, Fields looked comfortable in his Jets' debut and should be forced to put up points with Josh Allen on the other sideline. The fourth-year pro is RotoBaller's PPR WR13 in an outing with a 47.5-point over/under.

Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz was perfect in Week 1, converting all four of his attempts (two field goals, two extra points) in a 20-12 win over the Tennessee Titans. Despite the clean performance, Denver's offensive struggles capped his fantasy output, as he finished just 17th among kickers for the week. Lutz now faces the Indianapolis Colts in a matchup that could be low scoring after both teams' defensive units impressed in their openers. While Lutz entered the year ranked as a top-five option on some fantasy platforms, his Week 2 outlook carries more volatility. He should be viewed as a high-risk, high-reward streamer rather than a locked-in starter.
