Josh Downs Oct 16 12:50pm CT
    Josh Downs

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs (concussion) is missing a second straight practice this week on Thursday due to a concussion he suffered in the Week 6 win over the Arizona Cardinals, according to James Boyd of The Athletic. In addition to Downs, fellow receiver Ashton Dulin (chest) is missing a second straight practice, which means that Indy's WR corps could be thin this weekend on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers. If both Downs and Dulin are not cleared by Sunday, Adonai Mitchell, who was a healthy scratch last Sunday, will probably be active again. Alec Pierce would also be elevated to the No. 2 role behind Michael Pittman Jr. Downs and Dulin have one more day to return to practice, but right now, it's not looking good for their Week 7 statuses. Pierce would be in play as a WR4/flex option in starting fantasy lineups if Downs is inactive.

Justin Fields Oct 16 12:40pm CT
    Justin Fields

New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields has not thrown an interception through the first six games of his first season in the Big Apple, but he admitted on Wednesday that he has been too conservative as a passer. "I feel like I've been a little bit too conservative in a sense," Fields said. "Probably just [need to] be a little bit more aggressive. The Jets have not won a game in 2025, and Fields took nine sacks and finished with minus-10 net passing yards against the Denver Broncos in Week 6, a franchise low and the fewest in the NFL since 1998. In addition to being 0-6, New York is 25th in scoring (20.5 points per game), and Fields could be in danger of being replaced by veteran Tyrod Taylor if things don't improve soon. Fields could look to be more aggressive in Week 7 against the Carolina Panthers, but he's likely to be without top receiver Garrett Wilson (knee). The only WR with a greater target share this year than Wilson (33.3%) is Jaxon Smith-Njigba (37%). Fields has nowhere to go but up after his Week 6 performance, but without Wilson, he'll be more of a high-end QB2 asset in fantasy this weekend.

Mike Evans Oct 16 12:30pm CT
    Mike Evans

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said that wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) returned to practice on Thursday, but he was limited after missing the last three games with a hamstring strain, according to Scott Smith of Buccaneers.com. Still, it's great news for an extremely banged-up Bucs offense, as receivers Emeka Egbuka (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (leg), and running back Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder) are all expected to be out in a Week 7 Monday night showdown against the Detroit Lions. Evans is making good progress from his hamstring strain, but the Bucs will continue to monitor him before determining whether he will return on Monday night. The 32-year-old future Hall of Famer could be limited from a snap-count perspective if he returns, though, so he's certainly still a dicey fantasy option in Week 7. Even if Evans returns, Sterling Shepard will be an attractive fantasy streamer in what should be a pass-heavy game script against a thinned-out Lions secondary.

Josh Reynolds Oct 16 12:20pm CT
    Josh Reynolds

ESPN's Rich Cimini reports that New York Jets wide receiver Josh Reynolds (hip) was taking part in the portion of practice that was open to the media on Thursday. It's progress for Reynolds after he was listed as a non-participant in practice on Wednesday. It's good news for the Jets offense, with top wideout Garrett Wilson (knee) expected to miss Week 7 against the Carolina Panthers due to a hyperextended knee that he suffered in Sunday's loss in London to the Denver Broncos. Reynolds still isn't necessarily in the clear to play this weekend, but a return to practice puts him on the right track to be active in Week 7. And with Wilson probably unavailable against Carolina, Reynolds could lead New York in targets as they look for their first win in 2025. Reynolds deserves attention on the waiver wire in deeper leagues with Wilson injured, but expectations must be tempered in one of the worst passing offenses in football.

    From RotoBaller

Garrett Wilson Oct 16 12:10pm CT
    Garrett Wilson

There was no sign of New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson (knee) at practice on Thursday, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN. Although the Jets aren't ruling Wilson out for their Week 7 contest against the Carolina Panthers, he's looking like a long shot to play this Sunday after hyperextending his knee in last week's loss to the Denver Broncos in London. Previous reports suggested that the 25-year-old wideout could miss multiple weeks, so fantasy managers definitely need to move him to their benches. Josh Reynolds (hip) returned to practice on Thursday after sitting out on Wednesday, and he figures to see a sizeable role increase going forward for however long Wilson is out. In addition to Reynolds, Allen Lazard (personal), Arian Smith, and Tyler Johnson will need to do more to help a struggling Jets passing attack. With Wilson likely to miss time, rookie tight end Mason Taylor could end up leading the team in targets.

Tyquan Thornton Oct 16 12:00pm CT
    Tyquan Thornton

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyquan Thornton was the team's primary explosive deep threat earlier this season when the Chiefs were without Xavier Worthy due to a shoulder injury and Rashee Rice due to a suspension. From Weeks 2 through 5, Thornton caught 11 of his 21 targets for 231 yards and three touchdowns. He played over 70% of the offensive snaps for the second straight week in Sunday night's win over the Detroit Lions, but Thornton was not targeted at all. While the 25-year-old has been a key piece of the offense this year, fantasy managers should expect his snap counts to drop considerably now that Rashee Rice is ready to make his 2025 debut in Week 7 against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders. The Chiefs are expected to use Rice heavily right away, too, so with Worthy also back, Thornton is fading into a depth role in KC.

    From RotoBaller

Ryan Flournoy Oct 16 11:50am CT
    Ryan Flournoy

Dallas Cowboys second-year wide receiver Ryan Flournoy went off for six catches and 114 yards on nine targets in the Week 5 win over the New York Jets with both CeeDee Lamb (ankle) and KaVontae Turpin (foot) sidelined. However, he was unable to maintain that momentum in last week's loss to the Carolina Panthers, securing only three of six targets for 30 receiving yards. Flournoy was a short-term waiver-wire option with both Lamb and Turpin injured, but it looks like that window could be closing, with both Lamb and Turpin returning to practice and potentially the field this Sunday against the division-rival Washington Commanders. Quarterback Dak Prescott could prefer Flournoy over Jalen Tolbert in the passing game, but Flournoy won't be a realistic deep-league streaming option in Week 7 if both Lamb and Turpin are back in action.

Fred Warner Oct 16 11:40am CT
    Fred Warner

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that linebacker Fred Warner's ankle surgery, performed on Tuesday, went "great," but there is no firm estimate for his recovery, according to Matt Barrows of The Athletic. When asked if Warner might be able to return for the playoffs, Shanahan said, "I'm not even thinking about that right now." Warner is likely to need four months of recovery after fracturing and dislocating his ankle. It will take six weeks for his ankle to heal, another six weeks of rehab, and four weeks of what Dr. Eric Giza called restoration. Either way, Warner will not return during the 2025 regular season and can be dropped in single-year IDP fantasy leagues. The loss of the 28-year-old four-time Pro Bowler cannot be overstated for San Fran's defense, especially after they already lost All-Pro pass-rusher Nick Bosa (knee) for the season due to a torn ACL.

    From RotoBaller

Chris Godwin Oct 16 11:30am CT
    Chris Godwin

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (leg) is not on the practice field with the rest of the team on Thursday, per the Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud. Head coach Todd Bowles said on Monday that Godwin is "not in play" to be active for the team's Week 7 tilt on Monday night against the Detroit Lions due to a fibula injury that kept him out of the Week 6 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. Tampa could be getting Mike Evans (hamstring) back this week, but along with Godwin, both wideout Emeka Egbuka (hamstring) and running back Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder) are expected to be out. The 29-year-old Godwin didn't make his 2025 debut until Week 4 after recovering from a dislocated ankle that he suffered in Week 7 of last year. Now he's dealing with a fibula injury that could keep him sidelined beyond Week 7. Health issues and the quick emergence of Egbuka have cratered Godwin's fantasy value so far this year.

    From RotoBaller

Emeka Egbuka Oct 16 11:20am CT
    Emeka Egbuka

Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie first-round wide receiver Emeka Egbuka (hamstring) was not on the practice field on Thursday, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. Veteran wideout Mike Evans (hamstring) returned to practice, but Egbuka, receiver Chris Godwin (leg), and running back Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder) remained out. The 23-year-old Egbuka has been fantastic so far in his first year in the NFL, but a hamstring injury suffered in the Week 6 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday is expected to cause him to miss some time. Fantasy managers should expect Egbuka to be ruled out for Monday night's game against the Detroit Lions. With Godwin also expected to miss another game, and with Evans questionable, at best, Sterling Shepard should be one of quarterback Baker Mayfield's top targets against a banged-up Lions secondary.

    From RotoBaller

Bucky Irving Oct 16 11:20am CT
    Bucky Irving

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder) was unable to take part in the team's first practice of the week on Thursday, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. On Monday, head coach Todd Bowles said that Irving is "not in play" to return for a Monday night matchup against the Detroit Lions in Week 7, so it shouldn't be a surprise that the 23-year-old is out of practice on Thursday. He probably won't return to practice on Friday or Saturday, either. The Bucs could be getting veteran receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) back for the first time since he got hurt in Week 3, but they are also expected to be without pass-catchers Emeka Egbuka (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (leg). It all means that Rachaad White will once again be in play as a volume-based RB2 in fantasy for a third straight week, with Sean Tucker handling backup duties in the backfield. In two games with Irving sidelined, White has 31 carries for 106 yards and three touchdowns while adding seven catches for 51 yards through the air.

Jason Sanders Oct 16 11:10am CT
    Jason Sanders

According to Miami Dolphins special teams coordinator Craig Aukerman, the team is uncertain if placekicker Jason Sanders (hip) is close to a return, or if he'll even be available to play in the 2025 campaign. Sanders sustained a hip injury leading up to the start of the regular season, but it appears to be worse than initially thought, as he was expected back after Week 5 but has yet to begin practicing. Considering the team's lack of knowledge regarding his progression and Riley Patterson's excellence working in his stead, it wouldn't be surprising if the 29-year-old didn't kick again until 2026. Fantasy managers can safely drop Sanders if he was being held onto.

    From RotoBaller

Trey Hendrickson Oct 16 11:00am CT
    Trey Hendrickson

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Cincinnati Bengals edge rusher Trey Hendrickson (hip) is considered a "long shot" to play in Thursday night's matchup with the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers. The 30-year-old picked up a back injury in last weekend's loss to the Packers, but ultimately missed this week of practice due to an ailing hip. Rapoport notes that Hendrickson will still have a shot to suit up and is fervently pushing to play, but the quick turnaround is making it increasingly difficult. If the star pass rusher is inactive, teammates Joseph Ossai, Myles Murphy, and Cam Sample should all see an uptick in snaps on the edge.

    From RotoBaller

Jerome Ford Oct 16 10:40am CT
    Jerome Ford

According to The Athletic's Zac Jackson, Cleveland Browns running back Jerome Ford and tight end David Njoku (knee) could be trade candidates with the team sitting at 1-5. 2025 is looking to be another lost season for the Browns as they continue to search for a long-term answer at quarterback. Jackson reports that it wouldn't be surprising to see the team stockpile more draft capital as they build for the future, leaving Ford and Njoku as potential trade chips. Ford has stayed involved through the air, but rookie backfield mate Quinshon Judkins has asserted himself as the team's RB1. Njoku has also remained involved, but the emergence of rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr. has dented his target share. Nothing is set in stone, but moving on from Cleveland could increase the fantasy value of both players, depending on their landing spot.

    From RotoBaller

Michael Carter Oct 16 10:30am CT
    Michael Carter

Arizona Cardinals running back Michael Carter had his snaps scaled back in the team's loss to the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday, ceding work to teammate Bam Knight (knee). However, Carter could see his role expand again in Week 7, as he's currently the only active RB without an injury designation. The Cardinals' backfield has already taken significant hits with injuries to James Conner (foot) and Trey Benson (knee). Now, Emari Demercado (ankle) and Knight have missed practice time with injury. Carter has been inefficient in his work thus far, but the team may be forced to utilize him more as they try to figure out a backfield rotation that yields dividends. Even if the fifth-year pro gets the lion's share of opportunities this weekend, he'll be a low-end option for his matchup with the league's No. 1 team against the run, the Green Bay Packers.

    From RotoBaller

Hassan Haskins Oct 16 10:20am CT
    Hassan Haskins

Despite being named the team's starter leading up to their win against the Miami Dolphins last weekend, Los Angeles Chargers running back Hassan Haskins took a backseat to teammate Kimani Vidal. It was never assumed that the 25-year-old would absorb all of LA's backfield work in Omarion Hampton's (ankle) absence, but Vidal took the opportunity and ran with it. Haskins was out-touched 21-7, out-gained 139-23, and out-snapped 43-20. The Chargers could opt to even out the distribution of backfield touches moving forward. Still, Vidal has the hot hand currently, and figures to get another crack at running away with the starting job in Sunday's home outing with the Indianapolis Colts. Haskins can't be trusted for fantasy, but he's on the radar as the handcuff to own in Los Angeles for the time being.

    From RotoBaller

    Ja'Marr Chase Oct 16 10:10am CT
    Ja'Marr Chase

Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase is heating up at the right time, delivering back-to-back strong performances after an up-and-down start to the season. Over his last two games, Chase has caught 16 of 22 targets for 204 yards and three touchdowns, flashing the elite form that made him the overall WR1 in 2024. His inconsistency early this season stemmed largely from Joe Burrow's toe injury, which limited the offense's rhythm and explosiveness. Now, with Joe Flacco taking over under center, Chase appears to have retained his former production to a certain extent. The Week 7 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers sets up well, as Pittsburgh has allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers this year, surrendering 18+ PPR points to stars like Garrett Wilson, Justin Jefferson, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. With a favorable matchup and an improving quarterback situation, Chase profiles as a mid-range WR1 in Week 7.

    From RotoBaller

Evan McPherson Oct 16 10:10am CT
    Evan McPherson

Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson has struggled to find fantasy relevance to start the 2025 season. Through six games, McPherson has converted six of eight field goal attempts and 11 extra points, averaging just 5.5 fantasy points per game, which ranks 36th among all kickers. The injury to quarterback Joe Burrow has limited scoring opportunities across the Bengals' offense, directly impacting McPherson's production. Even with a Thursday Night Football matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have been shaky defensively, McPherson remains a risky fantasy option due to his limited opportunities in the struggling Cincinnati offense. Fantasy managers should look elsewhere for a more reliable kicker in Week 7.

    From RotoBaller

Noah Fant Oct 16 10:00am CT
    Noah Fant

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Noah Fant could see an uptick in usage following the injury to Mike Gesicki. In his first season with the Bengals, Fant has caught 16 of 18 targets for 107 yards and a touchdown through five games but has been held back by the team's tight end committee, playing only 35% of the offensive snaps. With Gesicki now on injured reserve, Fant's snap share should increase, though Tanner Hudson may also see expanded involvement as well. The Week 7 matchup is an intriguing one, as the Pittsburgh Steelers have surrendered the fourth-most fantasy points per game to tight ends this season, including a breakout performance by rookie Harold Fannin Jr. in Week 6. While Fant remains too risky to start this week, he's a name to monitor moving forward if his role grows within the Bengals offense.

    From RotoBaller

Andrei Iosivas Oct 16 9:50am CT
    Andrei Iosivas

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas struggled in his first game catching passes from Joe Flacco in Week 6, recording just one reception for five yards and dropping three passes in the loss to the Green Bay Packers. Despite the poor performance, Iosivas continues to see strong usage, playing 81% of the offensive snaps and lining up in the slot on 64% of those plays (fifth-highest rate in the NFL). With Mike Gesicki (pectoral) on injured reserve, there's a chance Iosivas' role in the passing game could expand in the coming weeks. The Bengals face a Pittsburgh Steelers defense in Week 7 that has allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season. Iosivas needs to clean up his drops, but his snap share and slot usage make him a deep-league dart throw in a favorable matchup.
