Hall picked up a minor knee issue in last weekend's loss to the Panthers that held him to a season-low in snap share (54%). Per head coach Aaron Glenn, he's trending toward suiting up for Sunday's contest, and the Jets could use him with wide receiver Garrett Wilson (knee) set to miss another appearance. If Hall is active, he'll be poised for a significant workload against a very beatable Bengals defense. Through seven weeks, Cincinnati has afforded opposing rushing attacks the sixth-most yards on the ground per game (137.3), and the second-most points per game (30.6). This is a superb spot for Hall, although his touchdown upside remains low in a struggling Jets' attack. The 24-year-old lands as RotoBaller's PPR RB16 for his meeting with the Bengals.

New York Jets quarterback Tyrod Taylor (knee) will be difficult to bet on if he plays in Week 8 when his team takes on the hosting Cincinnati Bengals. The Jets are lined up for a juicy matchup against one of the league's worst defensive units. However, it's unclear who will be New York's starting quarterback. Justin Fields has all but played himself out of a job, but Taylor, who is questionable, is dealing with a knee issue that's kept him to a limited status at practice this week. If the 36-year-old does end up leading the offense, fantasy managers can take a chance on him as a streamer in superflex/2QB formats, particularly against a vulnerable Bengals defense. Cincinnati is allowing the third-most passing yards (257.1) and eighth-most fantasy points per game to QBs. Taylor ranks as RotoBaller's QB22 ahead of Sunday's outing.

If New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields gets the starting nod for Week 8's road outing with the Cincinnati Bengals, it's understandable if fantasy managers display pause when slotting him into their lineups. The Ohio State alum has been superb against softer defenses, though he's underwhelmed in true tests and has seemingly regressed over the past few weeks. Over that frame, Fields has completed just 51.7% (15-for-29) of his passes for 91 yards, culminating in a benching for veteran Tyrod Taylor (knee) in their loss to Carolina. With Aaron Glenn declining to detail his starter this weekend, it further clouds an already abysmal situation for fantasy. Considering Taylor is questionable due to a knee injury, Glenn could allow Fields one more chance to play for his job. And an outing against Cincinnati's bottom-of-the-barrel defense might be just what he needs to get back on track. The matchup is juicy indeed, though if things go south, he could be on a short leash. Due to the uncertainty surrounding the situation, the 26-year-old will sink a few tiers to RotoBaller's QB23 for this week's slate of action.

New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has emerged as a must-start quarterback in fantasy football. He continues to be matchup-proof heading into Sunday's Week 8 clash with the Cleveland Browns. Maye has been excellent in his second pro season, racking up 1,744 passing yards, 12 touchdowns, 200 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, and two interceptions en route to ranking as the overall QB5 so far. He has posted high fantasy finishes against some of the stingier defenses in the league, including the Steelers and Titans. He should continue to feast this week despite playing against the Browns. Cleveland has contained mobile quarterbacks quite well, allowing the second-fewest rushing yards and fewest rushing touchdowns to quarterbacks in 2025. They've ultimately surrendered the fifth-fewest passing yards and third-fewest fantasy points to the position. On a positive note, they've allowed the 11th-most passing touchdowns. Maye will still have to play at a high level Sunday, but he has shown time and time again that he's capable of doing so. He remains a mid-range QB1 for fantasy purposes.

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz (back, shoulder) has been removed from the final report after logging a full practice on Friday. He will play in Sunday's Week 8 contest against the San Francisco 49ers. Schultz has emerged as a top weapon for C.J. Stroud in the Texans' offense, commanding 28 targets over his last four games, including 10 in Week 7. Over his last two games, he has 14 catches and 158 yards, moving him to the overall TE18 ranking in PPR leagues this year. Schultz continues to have top-12 tight end upside as long as he handles a significant target share every week. He should continue to impress in a negative game script this week against the 49ers, who have allowed the 13th-most receptions to opposing tight ends in 2025.

Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliott had his first missed field goal of the season against the Vikings as a 42-yard attempt sailed wide right in the fourth quarter. He did, however, make all four of his extra points. As it stands, Elliott is already an unreliable fantasy kicker with his lack of attempts, and he's even more unappealing if he starts missing. The Eagles will host the Giants in Week 8, and New York allows 25.3 points per game-10th-most in the league. But even with a below-average defense, Elliott has not shown that he's start-worthy in fantasy.

Ja'Tavion Sanders has yet to become a factor in the Carolina passing game this season. This year, Sanders has no touchdowns and only logged over two receptions and 50 receiving yards in one of his four games played. The second-year tight end was targeted twice, but had no receptions in last week's contest, which was his first since returning from an ankle injury that caused him to miss four games. Carolina will face the Buffalo Bills, who have allowed 5.6 fantasy points per game to tight ends, which is second-best in the league this season. Considering his underwhelming numbers, Sanders is unrosterable in any formats outside of Dynasty leagues until further notice.

Philadelphia Eagles rookie wide receiver Darius Cooper (shoulder) is listed as questionable going into the weekend after being on injured reserve for the last four games. It could be perfect timing for Cooper, as star receiver A.J. Brown will not play Sunday due to a hamstring injury. He has played just 20 snaps in the three games he was healthy for, so expectations should be set pretty low, especially coming off of an injury. He might get some more opportunities, but Cooper is too much of a long shot to be in fantasy lineups in Week 8, even if he's able to play.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jahan Dotson will likely step up as second-in-command at his position this week with A.J. Brown sidelined. Typically, Jalen Hurts only gives his top two WRs and Dallas Goedert any notable amount of targets, so with DeVonta Smith sliding into the definitive No.1 slot, there's an opening for some new blood. Dotson has been the third-most productive WR this season for Philly, tallying 111 yards and seven catches on 12 targets. He will line up against the New York Giants on Sunday, who give up the third-most fantasy points to WRs this season. While other offensive weapons will likely take precedent, Dotson is an option for deeper leagues as an emergency FLEX.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith went off for his best showing of the season last week, setting new highs in receptions (nine) and yards (183) while tacking on a touchdown. This Sunday, Smith faces off against the Giants without his counterpart in A.J. Brown. The Eagles don't often utilize other WRs, so Smith as the main focus should see a target number in the double digits. His last time playing New York just two weeks ago, he underwhelmed with four catches for 49 yards in a game where the Eagles offense could not get it going. This time around, expect more involvement as he tries to string together his first strong set of back-to-back games against a defense allowing the third-most fantasy points to WRs this year. Smith is a promising WR2 in Week 8.

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert (calf) does not carry an injury designation on the Friday injury report. Goedert's touchdown streak finally came to an end last week after four straight games of scoring. It was an overall poor showing for Goedert, who had just three targets-his second-lowest in a game this season-amounting to three catches for 18 yards. However, on Sunday he's up against the Giants, who he torched in Week 6 for 110 yards on nine catches in his best performance yet. Now without A.J. Brown, it's fair to assume Goedert is in for another heavy workload against New York. The G-Men give up the 12th-least amount of fantasy points to tight ends this year, but that should be offset by Jalen Hurts' need to rely on a favorite weapon with another forced to the sidelines. Goedert is an enticing TE1 in Week 8.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is coming off of his strongest passing game of the 2025 campaign so far, throwing for three touchdowns and setting a new season-high with 326 yards. Two of those scores came from A.J. Brown, who will miss Sunday's matchup against the Giants with a hamstring injury, but New York allows the sixth-most fantasy points to QBs. When these teams met just two weeks ago, Hurts managed two total touchdowns despite a Philly loss. Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley has had his two worst fantasy performances of the season in his last two appearances, having failed to find the end zone since Week 5. Barkley got back to his high-usage ways last week against the Vikings, but was stifled to just 42 total yards on 19 touches. This weekend the Giants visit Philly, and while he had trouble finding much momentum the last time these teams faced off in Week 6, that can partly be attributed to the Eagles having to play much of that game from behind. The Giants allow 125.1 rushing yards per game (11th-most in the league), and it feels unlikely for Barkley to have two busts in the same season against his former team. Despite his rough patch, he still gets more than enough looks to be considered a solid RB1 in Week 8.

Philadelphia Eagles running back Will Shipley saw the bulk of snaps among his team's backup RBs last week, with A.J. Dillon being a surprising healthy scratch. While Dillon had been Saquon Barkley's main understudy for weeks, Shipley took over duties against the Vikings and was on the field for 16% of offensive snaps. Tank Bigsby was behind him with 8% of snaps. Still, Shipley only recorded a single catch for seven yards on his lone target and did not get any carries. He's currently listed above Dillon as the second RB on the depth chart, but he should only be rostered as a handcuff for now, if at all.

Jalen Coker will play in just his second game this season after returning from a quad injury last week. In his last game, he was targeted twice but had no receptions. Fantasy players will have to wait and see if he gets more involved in the offense in Week 8 against Buffalo. Coker was considered to be a potential sleeper in the preseason, and the door is still open for him to become a quality contributor for Carolina. Either Coker or Xavier Legette can potentially emerge as a reliable complement to Tetairoa McMillan. Do not start the second-year receiver this week against Buffalo, as it's better to monitor his performance. Coker showed promise last year with 14.9 yards per reception, so fantasy leaguers who are patient with him might eventually be rewarded. For now, make room for him on your bench.

Xavier Legette is coming off the best fantasy performance of his career last week against the New York Jets. The second-year wide receiver had nine catches for 92 receiving yards with one touchdown reception. He has experience working with Andy Dalton, catching two touchdowns in a three-game span from him in Weeks 4-6 last year. Fantasy players may be wondering if Legette can build on last week's performance or if it was just an outlier. If Buffalo gains a sizable lead, Legette could potentially boost his numbers as Carolina works from behind. Considering that there are six teams on bye for Week 8, Legette is worth a look as a streaming option, even though he has more to prove. Buffalo's defense ranks 15th in fantasy points per game to wide receivers over the last four weeks, so he is not facing a shutdown pass defense.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Chimere Dike came out of nowhere and posted a solid game against the New England Patriots last week. Before that game, Dike was held to two receptions or less and 17 or fewer receiving yards in every game. The rookie wideout hauled in all four of his targets for 70 yards and a touchdown in the loss. The Titans are once again going to be without top receiver Calvin Ridley (hamstring) this weekend. That means, Dike figures to have an increased role against the Indianapolis Colts. Possibly, Dike was a one-hit wonder, but he could offer flex appeal in certain formats this weekend.

Tennessee Titans tight end Chig Okonkwo is hopeful for a bounce back game after posting a dud last week. In Week 7, Okonkwo gave fantasy managers nothing as he failed to haul in either of his targets in the loss to the New England Patriots. Before that, Okonkwo hauled in six receptions against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 6. That being said, this game could've been a fluke, but Okonkwo hasn't been a great option regardless. At best, Okonkwo should be viewed as a TE2 for the upcoming matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

Tennessee Titans running back Tyjae Spears has seen a fairly minimal role since returning to the field in Week 5. Over the last two games, Spears has rushed 10 times for 53 yards and has been held out of the end zone. It might not seem great on paper, but Spears registered 6.2 and 4.4 yards per carry during those two games. The biggest problem is that he's stuck behind Tony Pollard on the depth chart. At the moment, Spears is doing a better job rushing the ball, so hopefully he'll get more carries going forward. It's also worth noting, Spears has seven receptions over his last two games, so he's getting chances in the receiving game as well. As mentioned, Pollard is the lead back, so Spears probably won't offer anything more than flex value during the Week 8 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Elic Ayomanor will once again be asked to step up with this offense shorthanded this weekend. Top wide receiver Calvin Ridley (hamstring) has been ruled out and will miss his second straight game. Last week, Ayomanor struggled as he hauled in two of his five targets for 29 yards in the loss to the New England Patriots. The rookie wideout has failed to surpass 30 receiving yards in each of the last three games. The playing time will be there, but nothing seems to be going right for this Titans offense at the moment. Ayomanor might be able to offer flex value in PPR formats for the Week 8 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.
