The Houston Texans have traded wide receiver John Metchie III and a 2026 sixth-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for tight end Harrison Bryant and a 2026 fifth-round pick. Metchie, a former second-round pick, is entering his third season after missing his entire rookie year while battling leukemia. The 25-year-old receiver struggled to earn a consistent role in the Texans' passing game, finishing his time in Houston with 40 receptions for 412 yards and one touchdown in 29 games. Metchie will now look to earn a spot on the Eagles' depth chart behind wideouts A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Jahan Dotson.

Cleveland Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said he is "hopeful" quarterbacks Kenny Pickett (hamstring) and Shedeur Sanders (oblique) will increase their practice participation this week as they recover from injuries. Pickett, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury since late July, said he feels like he is "turning the corner" and was able to do more running in recent days. Sanders impressed in the team's first preseason win against the Carolina Panthers, going 14-for-23 for 138 yards and two touchdowns before suffering an oblique injury that sidelined him for the second preseason game. The two are in a four-way battle with rookie Dillon Gabriel and veteran Joe Flacco for the starting quarterback position.
From RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur announced that running back MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) "is going to miss some time" after suffering a hamstring injury. The second-year back left the Green Bay Packers' 23-19 preseason win over the Indianapolis Colts after catching a 33-yard pass. The 2024 third-round pick has been more hurt than healthy in his young career, having been limited to just one game in his rookie season due to hamstring, ankle injuries, and appendicitis. Despite coming into camp healthy, he was dealing with a groin injury in late July before this latest issue. In Sunday's game, Lloyd finished with 15 yards on six rushes and his one catch for 33 yards before exiting. He is currently battling to be the backup for Packers workhorse RB Josh Jacobs, but this latest injury will delay the opportunity for now.

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Aidan O'Connell continues to have a rough preseason, throwing his third interception despite completing 10 of 15 passes for 88 yards in Saturday's 22-19 loss to the 49ers. O'Connell struggled against blitz pressure and failed to finish any drives with a touchdown. While he remains the favorite to back up Geno Smith for now, rookie Cam Miller isn't ready to seriously challenge for the QB2 role. O'Connell has no fantasy value as long as Smith is available.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty showcased his blend of power and speed in the team's second preseason contest. The rookie logged seven carries for 33 yards and a touchdown, highlighted by a 13-yard burst where he lowered his shoulder and flattened cornerback Deommodore Lenoir. Jeanty's strong playstyle and decisive running fit well into Pete Carroll's offensive scheme, which favors physical backs who can finish runs. Currently being selected late in the first round of redraft leagues, Jeanty's expanding workload in preseason action suggests he has a clear path to providing immediate fantasy value in 2025.

The Cincinnati Bengals are listening to trade offers for four-time Pro Bowl defensive end Trey Hendrickson with contract talks at an impasse, sources tell Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. There is no deal imminent between the Bengals and Hendrickson, and the reigning sack leader is now available at the right price. FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz is reporting that the Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts are among the teams showing interest in the 30-year-old pass-rusher. However, an in-division and in-state trade is considered highly unlikely, making the Browns a long shot. The Bengals are believed to want an impact player or two, plus a draft pick, in return for Hendrickson. The former third-rounder of the Saints in 2017 has been a Pro Bowler each of the last four years and has 57 sacks in that span over 65 games.

Denver Broncos tight end Evan Engram didn't play long in the team's second preseason game on Saturday night against the Arizona Cardinals, but he still made some noise on his only catch, rumbling down the sideline for a pickup of 58 yards. The impressive chunk play left him as the team's third leading receiver in the 27-7 victory. It was the Broncos' second play from scrimmage on Saturday and got them rolling as they marched 92 yards down the field on their first drive to go up 7-0. The 30-year-old two-time Pro Bowler only played in nine games with the Jaguars last year due to injury, but he had a career-high 963 receiving yards and 114 catches in 17 games with Jacksonville in 2023. It's possible Engram could be quarterback Bo Nix's No. 2 target this year behind WR1 Courtland Sutton, making him a low-end TE1 target for fantasy managers in his first year in Denver.
From RotoBaller
Denver Broncos second-year wide receiver Troy Franklin continued to stand out in the team's 27-7 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday in the second week of the preseason. Franklin caught four of his five targets from backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham for 67 yards and two touchdowns. The 22-year-old out of Oregon has received praise from teammates this summer and has now caught nine passes for 85 yards and the two scores in two preseason games. He shared the team lead in catches and targets with rookie Pat Bryant on Saturday. Franklin has shown improvement in training camp going into his sophomore season in th NFL, but competition for targets in Denver behind WR1 Courtland Sutton could be fierce. He caught 28 of his 53 targets for 263 yards and two TDs in 16 regular-season games (six starts) last year and is currently outside RotoBaller's top 100 fantasy wideouts.
From RotoBaller
Denver Broncos rookie fifth-round wide receiver Pat Bryant made his mark in the team's second preseason game on Saturday evening against the visiting Arizona Cardinals, catching four of his five targets for a team-high 70 yards. Bryant's four receptions and five targets also tied with Troy Franklin for the team lead on the night, as he one of backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham's favorite target. The 22-year-old has had a solid showing so far through the first two weeks of the preseason as he prepares for his first year in the NFL. He does not stand out for his athleticism or speed, but head coach Sean Payton had an eye for him because he reminds him of former Saints wideout Michael Thomas. Bryant is just inside RotoBaller's top 100 WR rankings. He's one to watch, but he could have a tough time finding playing time behind Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims Jr. and Franklin.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is not suiting up for the team's second preseason game on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to Erin Summers of ESPN. Kamara was seen doing pre-game workouts with the rest of the team, but it's the second straight preseason game in which he will not play. Rookie Devin Neal (hamstring) also will sit out, which means the Saints will roll forward against the Jags with Kendre Miller, Cam Akers and Clyde Edwards-Helaire in their backfield. It remains to be seen if Kamara will play in the preseason finale next Saturday against the Denver Broncos. The 30-year-old five-time Pro Bowler should be a workhorse once again in head coach Kellen Moore's offense. Kamara has had at least 47 catches in his eight-year career, but he's never rushed for 1,000 yards on the ground. RotoBaller has him ranked as the RB20 in fantasy heading into the 2025 season.

Dynasty | Titans rookie Cam Ward completed 2-of-7 passes for 42 yards in Tennessee's week two preseason game. Dynasty Analysis: Ward was without most of his weapons on the night and while the counting stats don't look like much, he has clearly taken control of the offense and team. Poised to start week one as a rookie, Ward is a dynasty player who is going to have some ups and downs, but also one who clearly has the talent to see his ADP start to rise should he find early success.
Dynasty | Titans rookie wide receiver Elic Ayomanor had two catches for 47 yards in Tennessee's second preseason contest. Dynasty Analysis: Ayomanor has had a quiet camp for the most part, but he played well in this one. Cam Ward showed clear favortism towards Ayomanor early, a good sign for some possible early season success. While not a truly elite-level rookie prospect, Ayomanor looks the part of a solid mid-round rookie pick with some upside.
Dynasty | Rookie running back Brashard Smith had 22 rushing yards in Kansas City's second preseason game. Dynasty Analysis: Smith added two catches for 16 yards. Smith is clearly behind both Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt in the pecking order and seems to be fighting for a roster spot at the moment with Elijah Mitchell. This is a story to watch in the coming weeks as any Chiefs running back should have some dynasty value moving forward and Smith would certainly be a player to keep on your dynasty roster should he make the team as a seventh round rookie.
Dynasty | Seahawks rookie quarterback Jalen Milroe completed 3-of-5 passes for 46 yards and added 18 rushing yards in Seattle's second preseason game. Dynasty Analysis: Milroe played well behind Drew Lock (129 passing yards and two touchdowns) and while he's shown some real flashes in games, it seems Seattle has no desire to have him play much this season. Lock has likely played well enough to be the QB2 behind sure-fire starter Sam Darnold, but it remains to be seen if Seattle would really turn to him for more than a game or two. Regardless, Milroe looks like a great dynasty stash but just don't expect much from him in 2025 unless something really unforeseen happens in the Emerald City.
Dynasty | Seahawks rookie running back Damien Martinez had 50 yards and a touchdown in Seattle's second preseason game. Dynasty Analysis: Martinez looked solid and has reportedly had a good training camp. However, he's also buried on a depth chart that features Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet. He's likely battling George Holani (who has been impressive this preseason) for a roster spot, so this was a positive step forward. Martinez should be monitored by dynasty managers as a player who should stay on rosters should he make the team.
Dynasty | Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson completed 6-of-11 passes for 73 yards in week two of the preseason. Dynasty Analysis: Richardson desperately needed to get back on the field to push Daniel Jones for the starting job and did just that. While he hasn't done anything overly impressive, he'll undoubtedly be the QB1 at the beginning of the season if the competition is remotely close. Naming Jones the starter would be a massive indictment on Richardson and his future with the Colts would be in serious jeopardy should that happen. This story is a big one in dynasty leagues and it sounds like it's coming to a conclusion soon one way or another. Stay tuned.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are playing their starters against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, but that won't include wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter (upper body). The 2024 Heisman Trophy winner and second overall pick from Colorado will sit out with an upper-body injury. There's no indication Hunter is dealing with a serious issue, but the Jaguars are understandably playing it safe with the prized rookie. He made his preseason debut last week and caught two passes for nine yards in a 31-25 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

New York Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas (foot) is "getting better" as he works back from the foot surgery he underwent last October, according to head coach Brian Daboll. The Giants have expressed optimism that Thomas will be ready to go Week 1 against the Washington Commanders. They went most of last season without Thomas, who played in just six games before going under the knife to repair a Lisfranc injury. The Giants have been noticeably better when the former second-team All-Pro has taken the field, but availability has been an issue over the past couple of years. Thomas has appeared in just 16 of 34 games since 2023. James Hudson III has been atop the depth chart at left tackle in Thomas' absence this summer.
From RotoBaller
The Carolina Panthers and quarterback Bryce Young turned in a performance to forget in a 20-3 preseason loss to the Houston Texans on Saturday. Head coach Dave Canales had planned for Young and the starting offense to play three series, but he wound up pulling the third-year QB after a mere six plays. Young went 0-for-2, took a sack, and threw an interception to cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. that was negated by a defensive holding call. The former No. 1 overall pick gained two yards on a scramble, but that was it in terms of positive plays. Canales announced that the starters won't play the exhibition finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, meaning Young will wrap up his preseason 4-for-8 for 58 yards over two games. Heading into his age-24 campaign, Young is expected to take another step forward after showing progress last year. He tossed 12 touchdowns against three interceptions in his final eight games in 2024, leading to hope that the former Heisman Trophy winner from Alabama had figured it out at the NFL level. The Young-led Panthers will open the regular season against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sept. 7.
From RotoBaller
Denver Broncos running back Jaleel McLaughlin put his best foot forward in Saturday's preseason win over the Arizona Cardinals in his attempt to win a 53-man roster spot. In the 27-7 win over Arizona in the second preseason game, McLaughlin had only three carries, but it was enough to lead the team in rushing with 48 yards. The 24-year-old's second rushing attempt of the contest went for a game-high 35 yards. McLaughlin entered the game after both rookie RJ Harvey and Tyler Badie, suggesting he's the RB4 on the current depth chart going into the final week of the preseason. He's been an effective complementary option in his two years in the NFL, averaging 4.8 yards per carry, but the additions of Harvey and J.K. Dobbins in the offseason made things even more difficult for McLaughlin to have a sizeable role in 2025.
