Chris Olave Oct 23 4:20pm CT
    Chris Olave

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave (ankle) was able to practice on a limited basis on Thursday after he was held out on Wednesday due to an ankle injury. Olave didn't look hampered by an ankle injury in the Week 7 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday, catching five of his seven targets for 98 yards and two touchdowns. It was only the second time in seven games in 2025 where he didn't see double-digit targets, but Olave managed 98 receiving yards for the second straight week and scored for the second and third time this season. The former first-rounder is now up to 44 receptions on 71 targets for 440 yards and three touchdowns on the year and will be a must-start for this weekend's divisional tilt against the visiting Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Olave has been the subject of some trade rumors with the deadline approaching, so his fantasy value could jump even more in the coming weeks if he's on the move.

Mason Taylor Oct 23 4:10pm CT
    Mason Taylor

New York Jets rookie tight end Mason Taylor (quad) missed his team's Thursday practice due to a quad injury, per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. Taylor is a new addition to the injury report, which is a concerning sign for his availability in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Taylor has recorded 24 catches for 208 yards on 34 targets through the first seven games of his NFL career. With star Jets wideout Garrett Wilson (knee) also questionable to play in Week 8, Taylor has a chance to be the team's number one option in the passing game against Cincinnati if healthy. Additionally, the Bengals have been one of the easiest matchups for opposing tight ends in fantasy so far this season. If Taylor can play, he profiles as a low-end fantasy starter in Week 8. If he's unable to go, Jeremy Ruckert, Stone Smartt (quad), and Jelani Woods are the likely candidates to log tight end snaps for the Jets against Cincinnati.

Cole Kmet Oct 23 4:00pm CT
    Cole Kmet

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet (back) missed practice for the second straight day on Thursday due to a back injury that forced him to exit early from his team's Week 7 win over the New Orleans Saints. Kmet appears to be at risk of missing Chicago's Week 8 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. The 26-year-old has recorded nine catches for 132 yards and a touchdown on 19 targets across six games so far this season. Kmet and rookie Colston Loveland have largely split playing time at tight end when both players have been healthy. If Kmet is sidelined in Week 8, Loveland may finally see enough target volume to provide fantasy-relevant production.

    D.J. Moore Oct 23 3:50pm CT
    D.J. Moore

Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore (hip) was able to return to practice in a limited capacity on Thursday after being held out of practice on Wednesday due to a hip injury. Moore suffered the injury in Week 6 and was able to play through it in Week 7, so he could be on track to suit up again in Week 8 against the Baltimore Ravens. The 28-year-old has recorded 22 catches for 258 yards and a touchdown on 31 targets across six games so far this season. Moore appears to have fallen behind Bears wideout Rome Odunze in the team's pecking order for targets, and rookie wide receiver Luther Burden III may eventually threaten him as well. Assuming Moore is able to play on Sunday against Baltimore, he profiles as a solid WR3/flex option for fantasy managers.

    From RotoBaller

Josh Palmer Oct 23 3:40pm CT
    Josh Palmer

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Joshua Palmer (ankle, knee) missed his second straight practice on Thursday, leading into his team's Week 8 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Bills head coach Sean McDermott previously categorized Palmer's status as "week-to-week," so it appears he's trending towards missing Week 8. Palmer has recorded 14 catches for 234 yards on 20 targets through Buffalo's first six games of 2025. His absence would likely lead to an uptick in targets for Bills wideouts Keon Coleman and Khalil Shakir. Additionally, Buffalo wide receivers Tyrell Shavers and Elijah Moore could see an increase in playing time.

    From RotoBaller

Calvin Ridley Oct 23 3:30pm CT
    Calvin Ridley

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley (hamstring) missed his second straight practice on Thursday due to a hamstring injury. The veteran wideout was sidelined in Week 7 because of the injury, and he appears to be at risk of missing Tennessee's Week 8 game against the Indianapolis Colts as well. Ridley has recorded 16 catches for 290 yards on 35 targets across six games played this season. If he's unable to play against Indianapolis, Titans wideouts Elic Ayomanor, Chimere Dike, and Van Jefferson will likely handle the majority of the team's wide receiver snaps. Given that Ridley has yet to practice this week, fantasy managers should likely be operating under the assumption that he will miss a second straight game until proven otherwise.

    From RotoBaller

Dalton Kincaid Oct 23 3:30pm CT
    Dalton Kincaid

Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid (oblique) was limited in practice for the second straight day on Thursday due to an oblique injury. Kincaid missed Buffalo's Week 6 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons due to the injury, and it appears that the Bills' Week 7 bye did not provide him enough time to recover fully. Kincaid has recorded 20 catches for 287 yards and three touchdowns on 24 targets across five games played so far this season. Should he be able to play in Week 8 against the Carolina Panthers, Kincaid profiles as a must-start fantasy tight end. If Kincaid remains sidelined, Bills tight ends Dawson Knox and Jackson Hawes will likely see the majority of the snaps. With Kincaid out in Week 6, Knox recorded one catch for 19 yards and a touchdown on two targets.

    From RotoBaller

Bryce Young Oct 23 3:20pm CT
    Bryce Young

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young (ankle) missed practice for the second straight day on Thursday due to an ankle injury, per ESPN's David Newton. Newton reports that "Young is still day-to-day" and the team "hasn't named a starter" for their Week 8 matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Young was forced to exit early from Carolina's Week 7 win over the New York Jets due to the injury. Veteran quarterback Andy Dalton finished Week 7 under center for the Panthers and would be in line to start against the Bills if Young is unable to play. In six games (five starts) for Carolina in 2024, Dalton completed 66.3% of his pass attempts for 989 yards, seven touchdowns, and six interceptions. Fantasy managers should avoid Dalton in Week 8, even in two-quarterback formats.

    From RotoBaller

    D'Andre Swift Oct 23 3:10pm CT
    D'Andre Swift

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (groin) returned to a limited practice on Thursday after he missed Wednesday's session. Swift's return to practice on Thursday should put him on track to be available for this Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens and their banged-up defense. With Ben Johnson in town running Chicago's offense, Swift has been a focal point, carrying the ball 89 times for 419 yards (4.7 yards per tote) and three touchdowns while adding 16 catches for 166 yards and another score through the air. He has had at least 12 carries in all six games so far in 2025 and has had a combined 33 carries for 232 rushing yards and a touchdown in the last two games against the Saints and Commanders. The Ravens have allowed nearly 110 rushing yards per game this year, so Swift will be an absolute must-start in fantasy lineups this weekend.

    A.J. Brown Oct 23 2:30pm CT
    A.J. Brown

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (hamstring) is missing a second day of practice this week on Thursday, according to Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94WIP.com. Brown didn't appear to be injured at all in Sunday's win over the Minnesota Vikings, in which he caught two touchdowns, but he missed his first practice of the year on Wednesday and followed it up with another DNP on Thursday. The 28-year-old looks to be in real danger of missing the Week 8 rematch against the division-rival New York Giants this Sunday unless he can return to practice in some fashion on Friday. The good news is that he was spotted working out on the side during Thursday's practice, so there's still hope that he can play this weekend if he practices on Friday. Brown has looked much better in the last two games, catching 10 passes on 15 targets for 201 yards and two touchdowns.

    From RotoBaller

Jerry Jeudy Oct 23 2:30pm CT
    Jerry Jeudy

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (knee) is back at practice on Thursday, according to Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN. Jeudy was listed as a non-participant in the first practice of the week on Wednesday, but his return on Thursday puts him on the right track to be active in Week 8 on Sunday on the road against the New England Patriots. If the 26-year-old is a full-go before Friday's final session, he could be cleared from the Week 8 injury report entirely. It's been a frustrating year for Jeudy and his fantasy managers so far through seven weeks in 2025, as he's currently looking for his first visit to paydirt. The former first-rounder was a Pro Bowler in his first year in Cleveland in 2024 with a 90-1,229-4 line in 17 games, but he has managed only 22 catches for 257 yards so far in 2025. He has not topped 20 yards in two of the last three games and has a much lower fantasy ceiling the rest of the way now that veteran quarterback Joe Flacco is in Cincinnati.

    From RotoBaller

Kareem Hunt Oct 23 2:00pm CT
    Kareem Hunt

Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt (knee) will not practice Thursday following a bone bruise on his knee suffered against the Raiders in Week 7. The Chiefs currently rank in the middle of the pack with 123.4 rushing yards per game, as they operate a committee featuring Isiah Pacheco, Hunt, and rookie Brashard Smith. Hunt has seen 53 carries through seven games, tallying 205 yards and three touchdowns. Hunt's potential absence could be the opportunity Smith has been looking for to increase his workload. The elusive back should see extensive work in the passing game as a change-of-pace option heading into a Week 8 matchup with a Commanders defense allowing 126 rushing yards per game.

    From RotoBaller

Christian Kirk Oct 23 1:50pm CT
    Christian Kirk

Houston Texans wide receiver Christian Kirk (hamstring) failed to participate once again in Thursday's practice and is now trending toward missing a second consecutive game. Kirk has struggled to get onto the field this season, due to lingering hamstring issues, appearing in just three of the team's six games. When healthy, Kirk is a consistent target for C.J. Stroud in the passing game, but it has been difficult to get him on the field. Xavier Hutchinson appears likely to get the start on Sunday with both Kirk and Nico Collins (concussion) banged up. C.J. Stroud will likely also look to rookie Jayden Higgins to jumpstart a sputtering passing game.

    From RotoBaller

Jordan Addison Oct 23 1:50pm CT
    Jordan Addison

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison is an excellent WR3/Flex candidate with his team set to take on the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday night. The third-year receiver still hasn't played a regulation game with starting quarterback J.J. McCarthy, but has looked great alongside backup Carson Wentz. In three games with Wentz, Addison is averaging 8.7 targets, 6 catches, and 94 yards, all green lights from a fantasy perspective. The Chargers, who allowed 288 receiving yards to the Indianapolis Colts last week, are permitting opponents to score on 46% of offensive possessions, one of the highest rates in the NFL. Addison is always the second option behind superstar Justin Jefferson, but the Vikings are airing it out enough that managers can consider Addison a starting option with additional breakout potential.

    From RotoBaller

Nico Collins Oct 23 1:40pm CT
    Nico Collins

Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol after failing to practice on Thursday. With Collins' injury coming on Monday night, it leaves a slim likelihood of clearing protocol in time for Sunday's game. The team enters a Week 8 matchup with the 49ers with the possibility of being without both Collins and Christian Kirk (hamstring). The Texans have struggled to get C.J. Stroud and the passing game going, even when healthy, averaging just 198.2 passing yards per game. If their primary wide receivers are unavailable, the team would likely focus on Dalton Schultz and Jayden Higgins in Week 8. Xavier Hutchinson is another player likely to see an increased target share in the event of a missed start for Collins.

    From RotoBaller

Aaron Jones Oct 23 1:30pm CT
    Aaron Jones

Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones Sr. (hamstring) has been activated from Injured Reserve and is expected to suit up in Thursday night's matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers. Jones appeared in just two games, recording 13 carries for 46 yards before suffering the injury. Jordan Mason has established himself as the featured back, meaning Jones should be eased back in gradually. His return is a welcome sight for the league's 20th-ranked rushing offense. The boost to their run game should also assist their time of possession, as the Vikings are averaging just 58.8 offensive snaps per game. Jones should be added if available as a likely committee member in the Vikings' backfield.

    From RotoBaller

Lamar Jackson Oct 23 1:30pm CT
    Lamar Jackson

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (hamstring) logged a limited practice again on Thursday. The star of the offense has missed the last two games for the Ravens, both losses. The Ravens return to action this week to host a Bears defense allowing 350 yards per game. If Jackson finds a way to play this week, he has an excellent opportunity to jumpstart an offense that has struggled, averaging just 251.5 yards per game with Cooper Rush under center. A return of Jackson would increase the Ravens' ability to get rest for a defense that has been gashed this season. Fantasy owners should continue to monitor Ravens injury reports throughout the weekend and be ready to plug in Jackson if healthy.

    From RotoBaller

Malik Nabers Oct 23 1:20pm CT
    Malik Nabers

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers (knee) is yet to undergo surgery to repair his torn ACL he suffered in the team's September 28 matchup with the Giants. Nearly a month after the injury, it appears doctors are still waiting on swelling to subside before operating on the superstar receiver. Prior to his injury, Nabers appeared in four games, catching 18 passes for 271 yards and two touchdowns. The former sixth overall pick should be ready for the 2026 preseason, but further delays to surgery could make his timeline unclear moving forward. Nabers has WR1 potential moving forward, despite the emergence of Wan'Dale Robinson in the Giants' offense.

    From RotoBaller

Deebo Samuel Oct 23 1:10pm CT
    Deebo Samuel

Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said that wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (heel) will practice on Thursday, according to ESPN's John Keim. Samuel did not look the same while playing through a bruised heel in Week 6, and he was inactive for the Week 7 loss to the Dallas Cowboys this past Sunday. The 30-year-old veteran has made progress, though, with Quinn saying earlier this week that Samuel was on track to practice in full this week. If Samuel is a full-go for practices this week, it would suggest that he will play on Monday night in a tough road matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, with starting quarterback Jayden Daniels (hamstring) already ruled out. Washington's offense ran through Samuel since Terry McLaurin suffered a quad injury in Week 3, but McLaurin is also on track to return in Week 8. Samuel's fantasy floor and ceiling will be lowered if he's back on Monday.

    From RotoBaller

Terry McLaurin Oct 23 1:00pm CT
    Terry McLaurin

Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said that wide receiver Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) will practice on Thursday, per John Keim of ESPN. McLaurin looked like he had a real shot to return for the first time since Week 3 in last week's loss to the Dallas Cowboys, but the Commanders ultimately ruled on the side of caution and held him out. Quinn said earlier this week that the 30-year-old pass-catcher would practice in full this week, but it remains to be seen if that will be on Thursday. If McLaurin upgrades to a full-go at some point this week, his chances of suiting up on Monday night against the Kansas City Chiefs will be much better. However, for fantasy purposes, McLaurin will be more of a risky WR4/flex if he returns with several factors working against him. For one, he could be on a snap count after his extended absence. Washington is also facing a tough matchup on the road in KC, and starting quarterback Jayden Daniels (hamstring) has already been ruled out.
