Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers caught 12 of his 13 targets for 127 yards and three touchdowns during Sunday's Week 9 loss against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Bowers returned from a three-game absence and delivered his best game since being drafted, setting a new career-high in fantasy points (PPR) and touchdowns. Even as the Raiders' offense struggles against softer defenses, Bowers is proving why he was worthy of being a second-round pick in many redraft leagues this year. Managers should continue to deploy him as a high-end TE1 heading into a matchup against the Denver Broncos, who just surrendered six catches and 77 yards to Dalton Schultz.
From RotoBaller
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Dyami Brown suffered a concussion during the fourth quarter of Sunday's Week 9 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. He was ultimately ruled out for the remainder of the game, in accordance with the NFL's concussion protocol and policy. Brown finished the game with seven targets, three catches, and 25 receiving yards. The 26-year-old will now have seven days to clear concussion protocol before Sunday's game against the Houston Texans. If he is unable to do so, Tim Jones would likely earn more snaps behind Parker Washington and Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle).
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans RB Nick Chubb carried 11 times for 34 yards in Week 9 against the Denver Broncos.
Fantasy Spin: Chubb had one more carry than Woody Marks, but six fewer carries than his season high in Week 8. Chubb has topped 50 yards just three times this season and has only two touchdowns, so there's not much fantasy value, especially if he's sharing touches.
From TheHuddle
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle) exited during the fourth quarter of Sunday's Week 9 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. He was listed as questionable but ultimately did not return to the contest. He finished the game with five targets, three catches, and 55 receiving yards. The 23-year-old has been quite disappointing in his second pro season, catching just 30 passes for 420 yards and one touchdown through eight games. Even with Travis Hunter (knee) on injured reserve, Thomas failed to operate as the alpha receiver, instead ceding that role to Parker Washington (eight catches for 90 yards). The LSU product is merely a WR3/flex with upside ahead of Week 10 against the Houston Texans. In his last battle against Houston, he caught two of six targets for 55 yards. Of course, fantasy managers should monitor Thomas' status on the Jaguars' injury reports within the upcoming week.
From RotoBaller
Denver Broncos TE Evan Engram did not have a catch on three targets in Week 9 against the Houston Texans.
Fantasy Spin: Engram entered with 26 grabs for 215 yards and one touchdown. He's not fantasy relevant at this point of the season unless disaster strikes your tight end room.
From TheHuddle
Carolina Panthers running back Rico Dowdle had 25 rushing attempts, 130 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns during Sunday's Week 9 win over the Green Bay Packers. He also caught two of his three targets for an additional 11 receiving yards. Dowdle was named the official lead back ahead of this week's game, and he wasted no time confirming the coaching staff made the right decision with his role. He averaged at least 4.65 yards per carry for the fifth consecutive week, bringing his season total to 5.61 YPC. After being somewhat of a non-factor through the first four weeks of the season, Dowdle has suddenly emerged as a potential league-winner in fantasy football. He is the RB3 in PPR leagues over the last five weeks, as well as the overall RB9 over the full nine weeks since the season began. He has a firm grasp on the No. 1 role in Carolina and should be deployed as a strong RB1 option in fantasy football ahead of next week's game against the New Orleans Saints.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua (ribs) "got his ribs" during Sunday's Week 9 win over the New Orleans Saints, according to head coach Sean McVay. Nacua could have come back into the game -- presumably if the score were closer -- and is expected to be fine for next week's divisional battle with the San Francisco 49ers. Despite departing the game on Sunday, Nacua was still terrific with seven catches, 95 yards, and one touchdown. He remains a high-end WR1 in fantasy football, assuming he suits up next week. Fantasy managers should stay tuned to updates on Nacua's status within the Rams' practice reports from Wednesday through Friday.
From RotoBaller
Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton caught just one of six targets, but it was a 30-yard touchdown, in Week 9 against the Houston Texans.
Fantasy Spin: Sutton grabbed his fourth touchdown pass of the season and is now halfway to last season's total. He's a solid WR 2 option but this is the third game this season he's had only one catch. Sutton's only had one 100-yard outing and six or fewer targets five times.
From TheHuddle
Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert completed 19 of his 29 pass attempts for 250 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception during Sunday's Week 9 victory over the Tennessee Titans. He also had nine rushing attempts for an additional 57 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Tennessee made a bid for the upset early, but Herbert and company kept the score close and ultimately pulled ahead. The 27-year-old quarterback now has 11 total touchdowns and four turnovers over his last four games, cementing himself as a top-five signal-caller in fantasy football. He should be started in all leagues despite next week's matchup against a surging Pittsburgh Steelers defense.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart completed 24 of his 33 pass attempts for 191 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions during Sunday's Week 9 loss against the San Francisco 49ers. He also registered eight rushing attempts for 56 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. The rookie sensation has played quite well despite New York's 2-7 record; he has 11 total touchdowns and just one interception over his last four games. In fact, he has scored a rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown in four straight contests. Even if the Giants continue to lose, Dart should be started in most fantasy leagues. He's a mid-to-low QB1 for Week 10 against the Chicago Bears, who just surrendered 470 yards and four touchdowns to Joe Flacco.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots WR Stefon Diggs posted three receptions for 38 yards and a touchdown on four targets in Week 9 against the Atlanta Falcons. On the TD, he became the 29th player in NFL history with at least 900 career receptions, and he is the fifth-fastest player in NFL history to hit the milestone, doing so in 153 games.
Fantasy Spin: Diggs has been a productive receiver in the NFL for a long time, but he has worn out his welcome in various stops. He really seems to have found a home in New England, however, and is jelling nicely with Drake Maye. As long as he is happy, he is productive, and he is a solid WR3 or flex fantasy option in most leagues.
From TheHuddle
New England Patriots WR Mack Hollins posted two receptions for just nine yards on two targets in Week 9 against the Atlanta Falcons.
Fantasy Spin: Hollins was the leading receiver against the Cleveland Browns in Week 8, going for seven grabs and 89 yards, but he showed exactly why you cannot bank on him for fantasy. He is just too inconsistent, and he remains useful only in deeper fantasy play. However, Kayshone Boutte left with an injury, so if he is forced to miss time, Hollins could see a short-term bump in targets.
From TheHuddle
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp (hamstring, heel) was ruled out ahead of the Week 9 matchup against the Washington Commanders on Sunday Night Football. As expected, Kupp will head to the sideline as he's dealing with multiple injuries. This is bad news for an already banged-up wideout group in Seattle. The loss of Kupp figures to mean increased roles for Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Tory Horton, and Ricky White III on Sunday. Horton could be a look as a streaming option for fantasy managers attempting to replace Kupp ahead of kickoff.
From RotoBaller
The Seattle Seahawks have declared WR Cooper Kupp, WR Dareke Young, WR Jake Bobo, OT Mason Richman, CB Derion Kendrick, QB Jalen Milroe and DE Jared Ivey inactive for Week 9.
From TheHuddle
Seattle Seahawks WR Cooper Kupp (heel, hamstring) is inactive for the Week 9 game against the Washington Commanders.
Fantasy Spin: It's unfortunate for Kupp, and his fantasy managers who have been patient, as Washington allows 7.7 yards per pass attempt, worst in the NFL. With Kupp sidelined, it appears rookie Tory Horton will see a larger role, with Cody White and Ricky White elevated for depth.
From TheHuddle
Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland put together a breakout performance against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. The rookie tight end has been quiet throughout most of the season, but was excellent in Week 9. He snagged his first career touchdown with a five-yard grab in the third quarter. Loveland topped that with a 58-yard game-winning score with 17 seconds remaining on the clock. He finished his day by hauling in six of his seven targets for 118 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the win. It's worth noting that Cole Kmet (concussion) exited this game early. His status will play into Loveland's fantasy value for the Week 10 matchup against the New York Giants.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry ended up with four receptions for 51 yards on six targets in Week 9 against the Atlanta Falcons.
Fantasy Spin: Henry started the season on fire, but his production has been a little bit erratic lately. His 51 yards are the most since Sept. 21, and he has just one touchdown in the past five games. Still, the potential is there, and he should be treated as a low-end TE1 in most fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams, especially with some injuries at position elsewhere.
From TheHuddle
Pittsburgh Steelers TE Jonnu Smith caught three passes for 25 yards against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 9. He was targeted five times during the game.
Fantasy Spin: Smith still has not posted more than 30 yards in any game this season and seems to be more on a short-yard target for Aaron Rodgers during games. He may see a few targets in Week 10 but should be avoided in all leagues.
From TheHuddle
The Washington Commanders have declared WR Terry McLaurin, OL Trent Scott, CB Noah Igbinoghene, OT George Fant, QB Josh Johnson, LB Kain Medrano and TE Colson Yankoff inactive for Week 9.
From TheHuddle
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco came into a Week 9 contest against the Chicago Bears banged up, but he showed no signs of it during Sunday's 47-42 loss. Flacco has looked remarkable under center since joining the Bengals in Week 6. He roasted the Bears' secondary during Sunday's game. Flacco completed 31-of-47 passing attempts for a career-high 470 passing yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions in the loss. The 40-year-old appeared to have made a miraculous comeback with two touchdowns on his final two drives. Sadly for him, Colston Loveland scored a 58-yard touchdown to secure the win for Chicago. Despite the loss, Flacco has been unbelievable under center for Cincinnati. He'll look to keep the magic going against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 11.
