ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that the New York Giants are expected to use rookie fourth-round running back Cam Skattebo as a pass-catcher and a runner. They like the Arizona State's ability to track the ball out of the backfield. The 23-year-old came alive for the Sun Devils in 2024 with 1,711 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns on 293 carries while adding 45 receptions for 605 yards and another three scores through the air. The 23-year-old might be a weakness in pass protection, which could cost him as he looks to get involved alongside Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singletary, but his physicality and versatility in the backfield makes him an intriguing dynasty/keeper prospect heading into his rookie season. At the very least, Skattebo could be in consideration for a bench spot in deep PPR fantasy leagues in 2025. His addition certainly isn't great news for Tracy.

The Denver Broncos agreed to a four-year rookie contract with third-round wide receiver Pat Bryant on Wednesday, a source told 9 News' Mike Klis. The Broncos selected the Illinois product with the 74th overall pick to give them more wideout depth behind WR1 Courtland Sutton in 2025 and beyond. It's another weapon for second-year quarterback Bo Nix, and the 22-year-old pass-catcher should give him a nice big target with a wide catch radius at 6-foot-2, 204 pounds. Bryant has drawn comparisons to former Saints receiver Michael Thomas, who had a nice history with head coach Sean Payton. He could have trouble separating from defensive backs in the NFL, but Bryant's production (17 touchdowns the last two years) speaks for itself. Bryant will most likely struggle for volume in 2025 as he competes with Marvin Mims Jr., Devaughn Vele and Troy Franklin.

Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell didn't really acknowledge whether former first-round quarterback J.J. McCarthy (knee) will face competition for the starting job in 2025. "J.J. is going to be in a great position to assume and ascend in our organization," O'Connell said on The Rich Eisen Show. "But right now, we really don't have any feelings on competition as much as we've got an obligation as coaches to put our players in position to attack that competition phase." Sam Howell and Brett Rypien are the other options in the QB room. O'Connell did say that McCarthy is "owning it" this offseason and will get plenty of reps with the starters. The 22-year-old missed his entire rookie season due to a torn meniscus in his right knee, but he's fully expected to be ready for the start of 2025. O'Connell said he's seen a difference in McCarthy's footwork, rhythm, timing and cadence from a year ago. The Vikes like him a lot, so he's expected to be the starter in Week 1, where he'll be a low-end QB2 in fantasy with upside.

The Seattle Seahawks officially re-signed defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins to an undisclosed one-year deal on Wednesday, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Hankins will return for his second season in Seattle after recording 30 tackles (15 solo), one sack, five tackles for loss and his first career interception in 17 games (eight starts). The 33-year-old former second-rounder (49th overall) by the New York Giants in 2013 out of Ohio State isn't on the fantasy radar in IDP fantasy leagues and will be competing for a starting spot at nose tackle this summer in training camp. Hankins had a career-high seven sacks back in his second season in the league in 2014. Since then, he hasn't had more than three sacks in a season with 18.5 total in his 169 games played (142 starts).

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (wrist) announced on social media that he had a second surgery on his wrist that "went amazing," according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Hill's second procedure was part of his original plan and was to have screws removed from his left wrist, and the Cheetah's timeline for a return won't change. The 31-year-old initially injured his wrist in a training camp practice in August but never missed a game because of it in 2024, ultimately finishing with a disappointing 81-959-6 line in 17 starts after leading the league with 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2023. It was the first time that Hill hasn't been named a Pro Bowler in his nine-year NFL career. He is going to miss most of the team's offseason work but should be ready come training camp and the regular season. Hill could bounce back as a high-end WR1 in fantasy, but quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's concussion history makes the speedy wideout more volatile.

The Dallas Cowboys have signed seventh-round rookie running back Phil Mafah to a four-year, $4.31 million deal, per the team's transaction log. Mafah spent his entire college career at Clemson, garnering seven starts over his first three seasons before starting in all 14 games in 2024. He broke out last year, rushing for 1,115 yards and eight touchdowns across 216 carries (5.2 YPC). The 22-year-old wasn't much of a receiver over his first two campaigns, but he caught 21 balls in each of his junior and senior seasons, though he did not score any TDs there. Like his fellow rookie rusher Jaydon Blue, Mafah will have the opportunity to crack Dallas' backfield due to the lack of competition in front of him. This RB room will be one to watch throughout the months leading up to the NFL season.

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed undrafted free agent running back Montrell Johnson Jr. to an undisclosed contract. Dylan Olive of Sports Illustrated reported the news. The former Florida Gator spent three seasons with the team in college after a rookie-year stint with the University of Louisiana. Johnson Jr. was better during his first three collegiate campaigns, rushing for at least 817 yards in each while lauding double-digit TD totals in two of them. However, his production ticked down in 2024 while operating as the lesser half of a timeshare with former teammate Jadan Baugh. The New Orleans native has good size and speed as a runner, but also a bevy of competent rushers ahead of him on the Eagles' depth chart.

Per the team's transaction log, the Dallas Cowboys have signed fifth-round rookie running back Jaydon Blue to a four-year, $4.62 million contract. The 21-year-old played second fiddle to teammate Quintrevion Wisner for the Texas Longhorns and is smaller in stature (5-foot-9) but has speed for days (4.38 40-yard dash). Blue has the odds stacked against him for playing time -- considering his draft capital -- but it isn't unheard of for late-round selections to make a splash in the league. Furthermore, the talent (or lack thereof) in front of him in Miles Sanders and Javonte Williams doesn't pose much of a threat in the way of competition. He'll undoubtedly have an opportunity to make his way to the field, but it won't be good for his prospects if he can't beat out the aforementioned veterans for playing time.

Dynasty | The San Francisco 49ers drafted Ole Miss wide receiver Jordan Watkins with the final pick of the fourth round in the 2025 NFL Draft. Dynasty Analysis: Watkins wasn't really on the radar prior to the NFL Draft, but that changed in a hurry after he was taken in the fourth round by the 49ers. Seen mostly as a special teams player in the pre-draft process, San Francisco clearly sees some upside in his receiving prowess after taking him with the final pick in the fourth round. Time will tell if Watkins can move up the depth chart but you can do worse with a late round dart throw.

Dynasty | The Los Angeles Chargers drafted Auburn wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Dynasty Analysis: Hmm. Interesting. Lambert-Smith led Penn State in receiving last year and Auburn this year, making him productive in two major conferences. He lands in a good spot with the Chargers but is going to need to prove he's more than just a deep threat to stick long-term. Still, this is an intriguing pick and makes Lambert-Smith worthy of a late round rookie selection.

Dynasty | The Buffalo Bills have signed wide receiver Elijah Moore. Dynasty Analysis: It's been a weird couple of years for Moore, who looked like a solid prospect when he first came into the league with the Jets. Instead, he saw Garrett Wilson steal the show and subsequently failed to do much in two seasons with the Browns as well. With just nine touchdowns in 61 career games, Moore looks like a player with a career trajectory heading in the wrong direction. He has a ways to go before making any kind of impact with the Bills and is currently a weak roster hold.

Dynasty | Tank Dell is unlikely to play next season as he recovers from surgery. Dynasty Analysis: As if the Texans drafting not one, but two receivers from Iowa State didn't clue you in, this latest report states what most dynasty managers were assuming - we aren't going to see Dell for a while. It's tough news to swallow, but also not much of a surprise as Dell suffered a catastrophic knee injury late last season. He'll remain a good roster stash, but his dynasty value has really sunk as a result of not one, but now two serious injuries during his time in the NFL.

Dynasty | The Steelers have traded wide receiver George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys. Dynasty Analysis: Despite Pickens saying he wanted to stay in Pittsburgh and the Steelers also saying they were fine keeping him, this marriage had simply run its course. Pittsburgh will reportedly receive a 2026 third round pick and a 2027 fifth round pick in exchange for their disgruntled wideout. Pickens will slide into the Cowboys offense as the clear WR2 next to CeeDee Lamb and should find it possible to post similar seasons as he has in the past with close to 60 catches, 1,000 yards and a handful of touchdowns as long as he stays engaged, which has always been a bit of a challenge.

Dynasty | The Jaguars have released wide receiver Gabe Davis. Dynasty Analysis: Davis had some solid seasons in Buffalo, scoring 27 touchdowns over his four seasons with the Bills. This led him to signing with Jacksonville last year as they hoped he could form a nice receiving duo with Brian Thomas Jr. That simply never happened as Davis posted just 20 catches for 239 yards and two scores over ten games. The Jags are taking a $20 million cap hit to release Davis but obviously find him to be unnecessary now that they have Travis Hunter, who now has an even easier road to targets. Davis should latch on somewhere in the coming weeks, but his dynasty value has evaporated.

Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver Elic Ayomanor and tight end Gunnar Helm were both fourth-round selections in the 2025 NFL Draft. While fourth-round picks are not guaranteed to make an impact right away, the Stanford and Texas products, respectively, "should have a path to contributing early," according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Many draft analysts had a Round 2 or Round 3 grade on Ayomanor, who posted 1,844 yards and 12 touchdowns in two collegiate seasons. The Titans' wide receiver group behind Calvin Ridley and the aging Tyler Lockett is underwhelming, so don't be surprised if Ayomanor is starting at the X-WR spot early in his rookie campaign. Meanwhile, Chig Okonkwo is still slotted in as the starter at tight end, but Helm, who caught 60 passes and scored seven touchdowns last season, could eat into his snaps and become a factor in 12-personnel. Neither pass-catcher is likely to be a consistent fantasy producer in an offense led by rookie quarterback Cam Ward, but they should be monitored throughout the season as potential waiver wire targets in deeper setups.

According to Zac Jackson of The Athletic, Kenny Pickett or Joe Flacco could be traded this summer, depending on how things go with the Cleveland Browns quarterback competition during the offseason. Cleveland notably selected Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel in Round 3 and Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders in Round 5 of the 2025 NFL Draft. While Deshaun Watson (Achilles) is not likely to be a factor in 2025, the additions of the rookies create a crowded position room. Jackson noted that Pickett's has $2.63 million that his "essentially" guaranteed by Cleveland, which could suggest Flacco is more likely to be dealt. The Browns are likely looking at picking a first-round quarterback in the 2026 NFL Draft, so seeing what Gabriel and Sanders can do is a top priority rather than winning a few more games with one of the established veterans.

Indianapolis Colts defensive end Samson Ebukam (Achilles), who suffered a torn Achilles last offseason, expects to be cleared in time to participate in training camp. The former fourth-round pick out of Eastern Washington by the Los Angeles Rams in 2017 joined the Colts in 2023 and led the team in sacks (9.5) right away. However, his major lower-body injury cost him the entire 2024 campaign. On the bright side, he will have nearly a full year to cover before getting back to action. The Colts ranked 25th in total sacks (36) a season ago, so his return to health could be a nice boost for new defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo. He could also help take pressure off young pass rushers Kwity Paye and Laiatu Latu. Ebukam has tallied 281 tackles (176 solo), 33 sacks, 11 forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, one interception, and nine pass deflections across 113 career games.

The Dallas Cowboys released wide receiver Seth Williams following the acquisition of former Pittsburgh Steelers wideout George Pickens, according to NFL.com. The 25-year-old Williams was once a deep fantasy football sleeper coming out of Auburn. He was selected in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos and spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars before joining the Dallas practice squad last season. Williams has appeared in two NFL games, catching one pass for 34 yards. Needless to say, his hopes of being a full-time member of an active roster are likely over.

The Houston Texans re-signed defensive tackle Folorunso Fatukasi to an undisclosed deal on Wednesday, a source told ESPN's DJ Bien-Aime. Fatukasi will return to Houston after starting 11 games for the team in 2024 while helping bolster a Texans run defense that ranked ninth in fewest yards allowed (107) and eighth in yards per attempt (4.2). The 30-year-old former sixth-round pick (180th overall) by the New York Jets in 2018 out of Connecticut had only one sack in 2024 and 5.5 in his seven-year NFL career, so he's not on the IDP fantasy radar, but he led the Texans defense in run-stuff rate (4.8%) and was tied for third in run-stuff tackles (eight), according to NextGen Stats. Fatukasi dealt with injuries in his first season in Houston, playing in just 11 regular-season games while missing the final three games due to an ankle injury.

With the addition of wide receiver George Pickens via trade on Wednesday, Dallas Cowboys pass-catcher Jalen Tolbert will now operate as the team's No. 3 wideout in 2025 behind CeeDee Lamb and Pickens. Tolbert could also face competition from KaVontae Turpin for the role, but the 26-year-old should have the leg up for the WR3 job after a career year in 2024 in which he set career-highs in catches (49), targets (79), receiving yards (610) and touchdowns (seven) in 17 games (15 starts). Even in what should be a pass-happy Cowboys offense with quarterback Dak Prescott returning from his hamstring injury, Tolbert just won't have enough volume to make him worthy starting on a weekly basis in most fantasy leagues. However, if one of Lamb or Pickens misses time with an injury, Tolbert will be an attractive waiver-wire pickup.
