Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (knee, rest) did not practice with the rest of the team on Wednesday. Brown has dealt with a minor knee injury since late in the regular season but hasn't missed any time because of it, and he indicated that he was just being rested on Wednesday. The 27-year-old fully expects to return to the field on Thursday and be ready to play this Sunday against the visiting Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round of the postseason. The veteran wideout was a huge disappointment for any fantasy managers that had him in their DFS lineups on wild-card weekend, as he had just one catch for 10 yards on three targets in a 22-10 win over the Green Bay Packers. Brown is a great bounce-back candidate this weekend, though, especially after he caught six of seven targets for 109 yards and a touchdown in the Nov. 24 win over the Rams in LA.

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz (shoulder) was limited in practice on Wednesday. Schultz is a key safety valve for quarterback C.J. Stroud, and his absence this weekend would certainly hurt the offense. Fortunately for the Texans, Schultz has logged two straight limited outings and seems to be trending toward playing on Saturday against the Kansas City Chiefs. Schultz caught 53 passes for 635 yards and two touchdowns this season. His numbers were down from 2023 due to the Texans' regression in the passing game as a whole. However, Stroud still looks to Schultz when he is in trouble. The Texans do not have many receiving options left. With wide receiver Robert Woods (hip) trending in the wrong direction with back-to-back DNPs, Schultz and wide receiver Nico Collins are poised to play huge roles this weekend. Both players will have to perform at a high level in a tough matchup with the Chiefs.

Los Angeles Rams CB Ahkello Witherspoon (thigh), DT Bobby Brown III (shoulder) and OT Alaric Jackson (chest) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Jan. 15. TE Tyler Higbee (chest) was limited during practice. The Rams did not hold a practice Wednesday, so the practice report is an estimation.

Free-agent WR Alex Erickson was signed to the Houston Texans practice squad Wednesday, Jan. 15.

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee (chest) was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. Higbee's participation in practice this early in the week is excellent news for the Rams considering that the injury sent Higbee to the hospital after Monday night's game. Higbee has now played in four games this season after missing most of the regular season with a torn ACL. He is one of quarterback Matthew Stafford's favorite targets which was evidenced by his five receptions for 58 yards in Monday's victory over the Minnesota Vikings. Higbee was previously reported to be trending towards playing this weekend, but his practice participation further sheds a positive outlook on his status. The Rams face the daunting task of beating the Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round this weekend. Should he ultimately play, Higbee will be a huge offensive piece for the Rams against an excellent Eagles defense.

Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee (chest) was limited during practice Wednesday, Jan. 15. The Rams did not hold a practice Wednesday, so this is an estimation.
Fantasy Spin: Higbee suffered the injury during the Wild Card playoff game but seems to have a good chance to play against the Philadelphia Eagles. He was a big part of the passing game before the injury and can be a No. 1 tight end in most fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans wide receiver Robert Woods (hip) picked up another DNP on Wednesday. Woods has not yet practiced this week ahead of a Divisional Round game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday. The 32-year-old Woods has been an important veteran piece for the Texans this season. He caught 30 passes for 203 yards during the regular season. He also returned 15 punts for 144 yards and five kickoffs for 144 yards. He has been an all-around steady contributor both offensively and on special teams. With the Texans' wide receiver room already thin, they cannot afford to drop more players due to injury. Additionally, the Texans just released wide receiver Diontae Johnson further depleting their depth. With only one day left this week to log practice reps, Woods' status is worth monitoring by Texans fans. The Texans will need all hands on deck to beat the two-time defending champion Chiefs this weekend.
From RotoBaller
Philadelphia Eagles RB Saquon Barkley (non-injury), WR A.J. Brown (knee), C Cameron Jurgens (non-injury), OT Jordan Mailata (non-injury) and DE Josh Sweat (non-injury) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Jan. 15. QB Kenny Pickett (ribs) and DT Byron X. Young (hamstring) fully participated in practice.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon (ankle) was limited at practice on Wednesday due to an ankle injury. Mixon battled through ankle injuries throughout the regular season, so it is not necessarily surprising to see him on the injury report with the injury. Most concerning is that Mixon was not on the injury report on Tuesday. In some cases, veterans will follow a rest protocol throughout the week, depending on the severity of their injury. However, players are prone to getting hurt in practice and ending up on the injury report. The situation is worth monitoring for Texans fans. Mixon is an important cog in the Texans offense. He ran for 1,016 yards and 11 touchdowns this season. He led the Texans to victory in the Wild-Card Round with 106 rushing yards and a touchdown. Without Mixon, the Texans offense looks far less efficient. He will be absolutely necessary if they are to have any chance of beating the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend.
From RotoBaller
Philadelphia Eagles RB Saquon Barkley (non-injury) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Jan. 15.
Fantasy Spin: Barkley should return to practice later in the week and will see his normal workload against the Los Angeles Rams. He is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans WR Robert Woods (hip) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Jan. 15. LB Azeez Al-Shaair (knee), DE Denico Autry (knee), OG Shaq Mason (knee), RB Joe Mixon (ankle), TE Dalton Schultz (shoulder) and OG Juice Scruggs (ankle) were limited during practice. DE Will Anderson Jr. (elbow, hand), OG Nick Broeker (hand) and TE Teagan Quitoriano (calf) fully participated in practice.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans RB Joe Mixon (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Jan. 15.
Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players should monitor the situation to see if Mixon is in any danger of missing the playoff game. He will be a significant part of the offense if he plays and should be a starting option in all leagues.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans TE Dalton Schultz (shoulder) was limited during practice Wednesday, Jan. 15.
Fantasy Spin: Schultz seems to have a good chance to be available and likely will see a handful of targets if he plays. He posted only 23 yards in the Wild Card playoff game and is only a possible starting option in some leagues.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs WR Mecole Hardman (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Jan. 15. CB Chamarri Conner (shoulder), OT D.J. Humphries (hamstring), QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle), CB Trent McDuffie (knee), RB Isiah Pacheco (rib), WR Nikko Remigio (wrist), RB Carson Steele (hip), OT Jawaan Taylor (knee), CB Jaylen Watson (ankle) and DT Chris Jones (calf) fully participated in practice.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans WR Robert Woods (hip) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Jan. 15.
Fantasy Spin: Woods has missed the first two practices of the week and seems to be questionable at best for the Divisional Round playoff game. He will only see a few targets if he plays and can be avoided in fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
Washington Commanders linebacker Bobby Wagner (ankle) missed his second straight practice of the week on Wednesday due to an ankle injury that he picked up in the wild-card win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday night. Despite injuring his ankle last weekend, Wagner played every defensive snap in the three-point win. However, the 34-year-old veteran is in danger of missing the Divisional Round matchup this Saturday against the Detroit Lions unless he can get back onto the practice field on Thursday. Not having Wagner available this weekend would be a huge loss for the Commanders defense as they look to slow down one of the highest-scoring offenses in the league in the Lions. In the event that Wagner isn't cleared to suit up on Saturday, the Commanders would look to Nick Bellore to step up in the middle of their defense.
From RotoBaller
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (back) suffered a minor back injury in last Saturday's wild-card win over the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers but is not listed on the injury report this week as the team begins preparing for a Divisional Round showdown this Sunday against the hosting Buffalo Bills. Jackson's status for this weekend's big game was never really in question, but now it's official that the 28-year-old will be good to go. Last year's NFL MVP had only 175 passing yards and two touchdowns in the win over Pittsburgh, adding 81 rushing yards on 15 attempts, but he'll likely be needed to do more against Buffalo in what should be a high-scoring affair. The QB1 in overall fantasy points during the regular season, Jackson will be a high-priced, top-tier QB option for fantasy managers in playoff leagues against Buffalo, even if he's without top wideout Zay Flowers (knee) for a second straight game.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Jan. 15.
Fantasy Spin: Mahomes threw for at least 300 yards in only two games during the regular season but has played well in the playoffs over the last several seasons. He can be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
The Baltimore Ravens claimed wide receiver Diontae Johnson off waivers from the Houston Texans on Wednesday. However, per NFL rules, Johnson won't be awarded to the Ravens until after the Super Bowl, so he won't be eligible to play in the rest of the postseason. Johnson has had quite the wild ride this year, starting the year with the Carolina Panthers before being dealt to Baltimore at the trade deadline. After being suspended for conduct detrimental to the team and catching only one of five targets for six yards in four games with the Ravens, he was released and picked up by the Texans. He caught three of five targets for 24 yards in his two games with Houston before being waived, and now he's back in Baltimore. The 28-year-old will be an unrestricted free agent in March, so there's a good chance he won't open the 2025 season with the Ravens.
From RotoBaller
Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery (knee) was a full-go in practice on Wednesday for the second straight day this week. Montgomery said that he's "ready to go" for the Divisional Round game this Saturday versus the visiting Washington Commanders despite spraining his MCL in the Week 15 loss to the Buffalo Bills. The 27-year-old missed the final three weeks of the regular season but had an extra week to rest with Detroit on bye during the wild-card round of the playoffs. It's great news for the Lions backfield that Monty will be available this weekend, as he has been the tone-setter for the team's ground game the last two seasons. He had 775 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on 185 carries over 14 games before his knee injury, adding 36 catches for 341 yards through the air. The potential for fewer touches alongside Jahmyr Gibbs this Saturday will make him a more volatile fantasy asset, though.
