However, both Edwards-Helaire and Elijah Mitchell could steal a few touches away from Hunt and Smith. Edwards-Helaire has not appeared in a game yet this season. Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell drilled all four of his field goal attempts, including three from over 50 yards out, and converted his lone extra-point try in a Week 8 loss to the Green Bay Packers. The 34-year-old remains a dependable fantasy option against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 9. Although the Colts haven't given up many fantasy points to opposing kickers this season, this contest is projected to feature upwards of 50 total points scored. If it turns into a shootout, Boswell should be plenty involved as the Steelers aim to keep pace with Indianapolis' high-flying offense. Fantasy managers can count on Boswell as a top-10 option once again on Sunday.

Atlanta Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier found the end zone for the fourth time in his last six games last week, although he carried the ball just four times for four yards, adding two catches for 10 yards. Of Allgeier'sfourscores, three have come in wins, with the 25-year-old mustering just one touchdown on a total of nine rushes for 24 yards in the team's last three losses. If that trend continues, it could be a quiet Sunday in Week 9 for the 5-foot-10 running back, as the Falcons are 4.5-point road underdogs and carry an implied point total under 20 in this one. Not to mention, New England is tough against the run, allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs, and has allowed just 76 rush yards per contest and 3.5 yards per rush (both second-fewest). The BYU product is a touchdown-dependent RB4/Flex this week, who has a very low floor.

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (foot) is making progress from his foot sprain and could have a role on Monday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys, but veteran backup Jacoby Brissett will make another start, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Murray has not started for the Cardinals since spraining his foot in the Week 5 loss to the Tennessee Titans, and he's not ready to take over starting duties under center coming out of the team's Week 8 bye. Murray has been limited in practice so far this week. He may be active on Monday night, but in that scenario, he'd be serving as the emergency backup to Brissett. It's been another frustrating season for the 28-year-old signal-caller so far in 2025, and there's no guarantee he'll be ready to return for Week 10 against the division-rival Seattle Seahawks. Murray so far has 962 passing yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions while adding 173 rushing yards and another score in only five games.

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth missed practice on Wednesday with a quad injury but has since been removed from the injury report and should be a full-go against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 9. The fifth-year pro had a massive showing back in Week 7, but followed it up with a quiet three-catch, 13-yard performance in last week's loss to the Green Bay Packers. He gets another great matchup on Sunday, as the Colts have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per game and fourth-most receptions to opposing tight ends. Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said on Saturday that running back Bam Knight will be the "first one out there" on Monday night against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 9 at RB, but the work will likely go to whichever back is most effective, per Darren Urban of AZCardinals.com. Knight will be battling for lead-back duties with Michael Carter, who got work in with the first-team offense at practice this week and will rejoin the active 53-man roster. AtlantaFalcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney (hamstring) closed out the week with full participation in practice on Friday and heads into Sunday without an injury designation. The 28-year-old was able to muster just one grab on four targets last week despite Drake London (hip) missing the contest with an injury. The veteran receiver has failed to produce consistently this year, catching two passes or fewer in three of the five games he's played in, and has yet to find the end zone. With Bijan Robinson's expanded role in the passing attack in 2025 and Kyle Pitts Sr. finding consistency, Mooney has been pushed down in the pass-catcher pecking order. With London likely to see a lot of cornerback Christian Gonzalez, things could open up a bit for Mooney, but the Pats have limited opposing offenses to 194.7 pass yards per game over the last three games (ninth-fewest) and just 18.3 points per game on the season (fourth-fewest), leaving Mooney as an unexciting WR4/Flex for Week 9.

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett will officially make his third straight start in Week 9 against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Schefter reports that Cardinals QB1 Kyler Murray (foot) is "making progress" in his recovery from a foot sprain and "could have a role Monday night." Running back Tony Pollard is one of the players the Tennessee Titans are "fielding the most calls on" ahead of the NFL's November 4 trade deadline, according to Diana Russini of The Athletic. Pollard has recorded 555 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns on 127 touches across eight games for the 1-7 Titans so far this season. Tennessee has a younger and cheaper running back option behind Pollard in Tyjae Spears, so it may make sense for the rebuilding Titans to try to maximize Pollard's value. Depending on where he gets moved, a trade could significantly boost Pollard's fantasy value. Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles says wide receiver Jalen McMillan's (neck) neck injury includes broken bones, per Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. Smith also notes that McMillan's return timeline remains unclear. The 23-year-old suffered a scary-looking neck injury in the preseason and has spent the entire regular season on Injured Reserve. Michael Penix Jr. (knee) and London will be back on the field for Sunday's contest against the Patriots, but of all the positions on offense for fantasy, the matchup withNew England favors the tight end the most. The Pats have yielded the fifth-most half-point PPR points to TEs thus far, with Cleveland's TEs combining for 10 catches for 99 yards and two touchdowns just last week in Foxborough. While that bodes well for Pitts, he's got just one touchdown all season, so he'll likely have to rely on volume as the 6-foot-6 TE averagesover six targets and five receptions per game. It all leaves the 25-year-old as a low-end TE1 with upside in Week 9.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco (shoulder) is planning to play in his team's Week 9 matchup against the Chicago Bears, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Flacco has an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder, which could certainly impact his performance, but the veteran is at least going to give it a go in Week 9. In three starts for Cincinnati this season, Flacco has completed 64.3% of his pass attempts for 784 yards, seven touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown scored a touchdown in the Week 1 win over the Cleveland Browns. Unfortunately, he had more than a few miserable outings in his following appearances before finally surpassing the 100-yard rushing mark in the Thursday night win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 25-year-old then had his best performance of the 2025 campaign in the Week 8 one-point loss to the New York Jets, finding the end zone twice (one rushing, one receiving). Joe Flacco (shoulder) has the offense back on track. While there's a chance Flacco won't suit up in the Week 9 clash with the Chicago Bears, it appears he's (fortunately) trending toward playing. However, even if Jake Browning finds himself back atop the depth chart, Brown should remain a high-upside option for managers, especially with the game between the Bears and Bengals projected to be one of the highest-scoring contests on the schedule. Granted, Brown's presence in all fantasy lineups isn't without risk. That will apply regardless of who is starting at quarterback.

Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports that the New York Jets are looking for "at least a third-round pick" in return for running back Breece Hall ahead of the NFL's November 4 trade deadline. Russini also notes that the Jets "have been getting calls for a while" on Hall. The 24-year-old is in the final year of his rookie contract with the 1-7 Jets. Across eight games this season, Hall has recorded 759 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns on 138 touches. If Hall does get traded, second-year back Isaiah Davis would likely dominate backfield work in New York until Braelon Allen (knee) returns from a knee injury that currently has him on Injured Reserve.
