Braelon Allen Aug 10 1:00am CT
    Braelon Allen

New York Jets running back Braelon Allen totaled 33 rushing yards on eight carries in his team's 30-10 win against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday. He failed to bring in his lone target. Allen drew a carry on New York's first series with the starting offense and broke free for a nice gain of 14 yards - the team's longest run of the day. It was presumed that he'd operate after Breece Hall, but it's noteworthy that Isaiah Davis also appeared on that drive. The first-string offense was done after just one series, but Allen and Davis split the remainder of the half until they were both relieved of their duty. The 21-year-old is likely to have trouble finding consistent production with a myriad mouths to feed in the Jets' rushing attack. However, he presents as one of the higher-end handcuffs and could be a legitimate thorn in Hall's side this season. Fantasy managers will want to pay close attention to how this backfield split shakes out over the next few weeks, as the situation is more fluid than it has been in recent seasons. The Jets will take on the Giants next Saturday in their annual preseason meeting.

Breece Hall Aug 10 12:50am CT
    Breece Hall

New York Jets running back Breece Hall rushed three times for nine yards in Saturday's 30-10 win against the hosting Green Bay Packers. He had a long run of four. The good news is that Jets running backs handled six touches on the team's opening drive. Unfortunately, running mate Braelon Allen outrushed him on one carry during that series (14 yards), and Isaiah Davis (ankle) rotated in for a play. Even fullback Andrew Beck was targeted twice (2/36). Much has been made this offseason about a possible RBBC in New York, and if their first drive of the preseason is any indication, it could be a long year for Hall owners. The Iowa State product is plenty talented. However, Allen could be a significant threat to the former's workload. Furthermore, a rushing quarterback in Justin Fields is sure to siphon carries and touchdowns from both of them, as evidenced today. Hall should get some more run next Saturday when the Jets square off with the New York Giants.

Justin Fields Aug 10 12:40am CT
    Justin Fields

New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields completed 3-of-4 passes for 42 yards in Saturday's 30-10 road win over the Green Bay Packers. He added 14 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Fields looked comfortable in New York's preseason opener, displaying his dual-threat ability on an 11-play, 79-yard touchdown drive capped with a 13-yard scamper. The former first-round pick didn't exactly open it up, with all four of his targets coming within ten yards of the line of scrimmage. Nonetheless, it's an encouraging debut for him, although it's worth noting that he didn't look to be running at his full capacity quite yet. Expect the Ohio State product to get a longer leash in his team's next outing, which comes against their cross-town rivals, the "hosting" New York Giants, next Saturday.

Isaiah Davis Aug 10 12:10am CT
    Isaiah Davis

New York Jets running back Isaiah Davis (ankle) suffered an ankle injury in his team's 30-10 win against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini. The 23-year-old mixed in on the first drive with the starters and closed out the first half with running mate Braelon Allen in New York's victory. It's unclear when he picked up the ankle issue, but head coach Aaron Glenn doesn't seem to be too perturbed by it, noting that he and running back Kene Nwangwu's (calf) injuries aren't "thought to be serious." It's significant that Davis got in playing time with the first string offense, as the Jets' deployment of running back touches could be a true committee. That isn't a foregone conclusion, but the current situation is shaping up to be a headache for fantasy managers. Hopefully, that's given more clarity after they meet with the Giants next Saturday.

Allen Lazard Aug 10 12:00am CT
    Allen Lazard

ESPN's Rich Cimini reports that New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard (shoulder) injured his shoulder during Saturday's 30-10 win over the Green Bay Packers. Lazard picked up two catches in a span of three plays during the second quarter, but presumably sustained his injury on the latter of which when he was pushed out of bounds. Head coach Aaron Glenn reports that the veteran will undergo further testing to determine the severity of the injury. It isn't good news for New York, as they're shockingly thin at wide receiver behind Garrett Wilson and Josh Reynolds. Teammate Tyler Johnson projects to be the most logical next man up. However, the door is still open for fellow wideouts Arian Smith or Malachi Corley to make a push for an elevated role. We'll likely get an update on Lazard over the next few days.

Marvin Mims Aug 9 11:50pm CT
    Marvin Mims

Denver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. notably participated in all three series with the first-string offense during Saturday's 30-9 win against the San Francisco 49ers. Mims Jr. and the rest of the starters played into the second quarter in their preseason debut, and it likely would have been just two opportunities if their second possession didn't end in an intentional grounding-induced safety. The 23-year-old pulled in his lone target for a gain of three yards, which is negligible primarily, as the real story here is that he left the field, while fellow wideouts Pat Bryant, Devaughn Vele, and Troy Franklin finished out the half. That Mims Jr. is locked in as the team's No. 2 pass-catcher isn't set in stone, but he seems to be at least leading the rest of the pack at this point. He's currently an afterthought in drafts, selected just inside the top 300.

Romeo Doubs Aug 9 11:30pm CT
    Romeo Doubs

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs played a full complement of snaps in the first two offensive series in the Packers' 30-10 loss to the New York Jets in their preseason opener. Doubs was on the field with the first-team offense and earned targets on two of Jordan Love's five pass attempts, dropping the first, and then up against Sauce Gardner, had the ball batted away by the defender. Entering his fourth season, Doubs had his 2024 season marred by a one-game suspension and concussions. He's been a solid contributor when healthy, but is more of a fantasy floor play than one with high upside. Doubs should only be drafted in the deepest of fantasy formats and is a routes-based play if you need a receiver who will run routes and be on the field for one of the better offenses in the NFL.

Matthew Golden Aug 9 11:30pm CT
    Matthew Golden

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Matthew Golden got his first snaps in the team's first preseason game on Saturday night against the New York Jets. Golden caught Jordan Love's only completed pass on a seven-yard slant in the team's second offensive series. Later in the drive, Golden was targeted again by Love but the play was nullified by a defensive penalty. That lone catch would be the only contribution Golden would make as his night was done following the second series. Drafted with the 23rd overall pick, Golden was the Packers' first wide receiver selected in the first round since Javon Walker in 2002. Golden brings some much-needed juice to the Packers and looks to carve an early niche in this receiver corps. Given the ambiguous nature of the current crop of Packers' pass-catchers. Golden has massive upside for fantasy as a WR4 option in fantasy drafts.

Tucker Kraft Aug 9 11:30pm CT
    Tucker Kraft

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft played the majority of snaps on the Packers' first two series in the Green Bay preseason opener against the New York Jets. While Kraft didn't earn a target from quarterback Jordan Love, he played on 10-of-12 offensive snaps per Nathan Jahnke of Pro Football Focus. Kraft's night was over after the first-team offense left the field after the second drive. Kraft's second NFL season was excellent with 50 receptions, 707 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while playing in all 17 games. As the clear top tight end on the Packers in 2025, Kraft's services can be procured in fantasy for a mid-round pick and could provide massive benefits if he can take a leap in production this season.

Tyjae Spears Aug 9 11:30pm CT
    Tyjae Spears

Tennessee Titans running back Tyjae Spears (ankle) is reportedly dealing with a high-ankle sprain he suffered in Saturday's 29-7 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Spears toted the rock three times for a loss of one yard and caught his only target for a gain of 13 before being carted off the field in the second quarter. Depending on the severity of the injury, he could face a few timelines, but is expected to miss at least the next few weeks as he recovers. Per Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com, the Tulane product was seen with a walking boot and crutches boarding the team bus following the defeat. Backfield mates Julius Chestnut and Kalel Mullings will get more run in his absence for now. If this lingers into the regular season, the likely outcome is that lead back Tony Pollard would absorb increased volume. Expect an update on Spears in the coming days.

Matthew Stafford Aug 9 11:20pm CT
    Matthew Stafford

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay noted following the team's preseason win that quarterback Matthew Stafford (back) was not limited during his workout on Saturday. "Looking forward to progressing him back into practice on Monday," said McVay, who also reported Stafford looked "great." The 37-year-old veteran has been dealing with an aggravated disc in his back, but is progressing after an epidural and should rejoin the team following the weekend. It's excellent news for the Rams' signal-caller, who is entering his seventeenth professional season. While it's still a situation that bears observation, LA will likely be cautious while getting him back up to speed. Despite highly-touted -- and drafted -- Rams' skill players, fantasy managers can likely find better options than Stafford late in drafts.

    From RotoBaller

Jordan Love Aug 9 11:20pm CT
    Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love got his feet wet with 12 offensive snaps in the Packers' preseason opener against the New York Jets. Love played the team's first two series, completing one pass in five attempts for seven yards, a slant to first-round rookie Matthew Golden. Love's receivers were shaky in his two series, with Romeo Doubs seeing two targets, Malik Heath seeing one, and tight end Luke Musgrave getting the downfield target. Injuries and a run-heavy approach to the Packers' offense led to a production dip from Love in 2024, but Love is a solid bounce-back candidate in 2025 to return to the QB1 ranks. For now, draft Love as a QB2 with upside residing in his team's ability to score a ton of points.

Travis Hunter Aug 9 11:13pm CT
    Travis Hunter

Dynasty | Jacksonville wide receiver / cornerback Travis Hunter started with the first team offense and caught two passes for nine yards in Jacksonville's preseason opener. Dynasty Analysis: Hunter played exclusively with the first team offense and didn't play defense until his day on the other side was completely done. He caught two passes on the day and while his numbers don't jump off the page, his usage clearly is a major sign on where this thing may be going and that's the way most dynasty managers wanted - a full-time wide receiver and situational defender. Hunter still has a ways to go, but he's battling Tetairoa McMillan to be the WR1 in the rookie class and it's still too close to call.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Cam Ward Aug 9 11:13pm CT
    Cam Ward

Dynasty | Titans rookie quarterback Cam Ward completed 5-of-8 passes for 67 yards in his NFL preseason debut. Dynasty Analysis: There's not a ton to take from this other than the fact he's going to look to Calvin Ridley (three catches on three targets for 50 yards) early and often. Ward was only given limited action but didn't turn the ball over or get himself sacked. This was good to get out of the way and he should get some longer opportunities in the coming weeks. So far, so good.

Justin Fields Aug 9 11:13pm CT
    Justin Fields

Dynasty | Jets quarterback Justin Fields completed 3-of-4 passes for 42 yards, adding 14 rushing yards and a touchdown in his Jets preseason debut. Dynasty Analysis: Many dynasty enthusiasts are calling (hoping) for a breakout season and this is only going to add some fuel to that fire. Fields was sharp on the day and showed his athleticism - something the Jets haven't had at that position for a while. Fields had an injury scare early in camp, but that's clearly behind him. At this point, the buying window for him in dynasty leagues is starting to close.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Tony Pollard Aug 9 11:13pm CT
    Tony Pollard

Dynasty | Titans running back Tyjae Spears was carted to the locker room after suffering a leg injury in Tennessee's preseason opener. Dynasty Analysis: This may not be as bad as it sounds as Spears limped to the sideline under his own power after suffering the injury. Still, being carted off is never a good thing. We'll wait to see just how long Spears may be out but any time off would hurt his rising dynasty value and subsequently be a boost to the short-term value of Tony Pollard. Stay tuned.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Kaleb Johnson Aug 9 11:13pm CT
    Kaleb Johnson

Dynasty | Steelers rookie running back Kaleb Johnson had 20 yards on eight carries in his preseason debut. Dynasty Analysis: Johnson's box score isn't that impressive but he still looked the part tonight. At one point, he stiff-armed fellow rookie Travis Hunter and that alone is what most people are focusing on. They really shouldn't. The bigger story is Johnson didn't try to make something out of nothing on the night and looked comfortable. He remains a solid back-end first rounder in conventional rookie drafts moving forward.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

RJ Harvey Aug 9 11:13pm CT
    RJ Harvey

Dynasty | Broncos rookie running back RJ Harvey had 25 rushing yards in his NFL debut. Dynasty Analysis: Harvey played with the first team and while he didn't do anything too special, he did look like no worse than the "1B" to a resting JK Dobbins, at least early on in his career. There is still some question as to just what his workload is going to be this year but a few solid preseason performances will certainly help his chances. His ADP seems stable at the moment.

Joe Milton III Aug 9 11:10pm CT
    Joe Milton III

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Joe Milton III (elbow) left early from his team's preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday due to an elbow injury, according to Clarence Hill Jr. of All City DLLS. Milton III was able to play a significant portion of the game before getting hurt, completing 17 of his 29 pass attempts for 143 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. The severity of this injury is unclear, but it could throw a wrench into the Cowboys' plans at quarterback behind starter Dak Prescott. Dallas acquired Milton III from the New England Patriots in April, and he's expected to serve as the team's QB2. If Milton III were to miss time, Will Grier would be next in line on the Cowboys' depth chart at quarterback.

Matthew Golden Aug 9 10:50pm CT
    Matthew Golden

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that rookie wide receiver Matthew Golden has "some of the most natural hands" that he's ever been around and that Golden has been "outstanding" in training camp, according to Zach Jacobson of 247Sports. The Packers used a first-round pick on Golden in the 2025 draft. He's part of a deep wide receiver room in Green Bay that includes established contributors like Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs, but lacks a true superstar WR1. Reed (foot) was also seen wearing a walking boot during the team's preseason game on Saturday, although he's considered to be day-to-day with a sprained foot. Based on how LaFleur is speaking about Golden, it appears the 22-year-old could be in line for a large role in the Green Bay offense early in his rookie season.
