The Midseason Maelstrom
TBL2 Weekly Preview – Week 7
The TBL2 season has hit its boiling point. Week 6 saw Double Sluggo drop another nuclear bomb, The Architect continue his blueprinted dominance, and Ja’Marr Chase single-handedly vaporize KingAj86’s defense in a 40-point eruption. But the standings are tight—real tight. With Double Sluggo (8–1) and Nea Kameni (7–2) battling for supremacy, and the likes of Rockin Squatches, Ass Pennies, Jager Bombs, and Jakku Resistance all scrapping for playoff leverage, Week 7 looms as a turning point. The contenders are separating from the pretenders—and with every BLB counting, the margin for error has all but vanished.
Storyline:
The Pennies cling to playoff position after a rough stretch, while the Dusters—despite their record—carry swagger after Aaron Rodgers’ four-TD masterpiece in Week 6. This is a classic TBL2 midseason gut-check: precision vs chaos.
QB
Ass Pennies: Sam Darnold
Fanny Dusters: Aaron Rodgers
Edge: Dusters
RBs
AP: Breece Hall, Jordan Mason
DUST: Nick Chubb, Kimani Vidal
Edge: Push — Hall’s upside evens Chubb’s pedigree.
WRs
AP: Xavier Worthy, Tetairoa McMillan, Travis Hunter
DUST: KaVontae Turpin, Quentin Johnston
Edge: Pennies (Hunter gives this group juice).
TE
AP: Trey McBride
DUST: Dalton Schultz
Edge: McBride
DL / LB / DB
AP: Byron Young, Jack Campbell, Daxton Hill
DUST: Cameron Heyward, Robert Spillane, Patrick Surtain II
Edge: Dusters — Spillane’s volume and Surtain’s splash plays tilt it.
Bottom Line:
Rodgers and Chubb stabilize a wobbly Dusters offense, while the Pennies’ youth movement keeps them afloat. This one could be decided by defensive bonus points.
Prediction: Fanny Dusters 144.2 – Ass Pennies 138.7
What’s at Stake:
A Dusters win keeps their playoff pulse alive; a loss all but ends it.
Storyline:
The Process continues to defy its name, stumbling from one lineup disaster to another. JoeStradamus, however, just got back on track thanks to Matthew Stafford’s efficient three-TD outing and a defense that actually showed up.
QB
TP: Justin Fields
JOE: Matthew Stafford
Edge: JoeStradamus
RBs
TP: Tyler Allgeier, Bhayshul Tuten
JOE: Alvin Kamara, TreVeyon Henderson
Edge: JoeStradamus
WRs
TP: Cooper Kupp, Chris Olave
JOE: Kendrick Bourne, Tez Johnson
Edge: Process (barely—Kupp alone is worth two of Bourne).
TE
TP: Darren Waller
JOE: Hunter Henry
Edge: Process
DL / LB / DB
TP: Carl Granderson, Demario Davis, Alex Singleton, Edgerrin Cooper
JOE: A’Shawn Robinson, Nate Landman, DeShon Elliott
Edge: JoeStradamus (Landman’s sack upside and Elliott’s 10.5-pt Week 6 outing loom large).
Bottom Line:
The Process won’t trust the process, and it shows. JoeStradamus takes this one comfortably behind Stafford and Kamara.
Prediction: JoeStradamus 161.4 – The Process 116.7
What’s at Stake:
JoeStradamus inches back to .500, while The Process officially becomes the first team to start packing for 2026.
Storyline:
Nea Kameni is quietly lethal—balanced, efficient, and built on IDP strength. Big Possum, meanwhile, can’t seem to finish drives or games, though Tua and the Etienne brothers always make them dangerous.
QB
NK: Justin Herbert
BPWL: Tua Tagovailoa
Edge: Push — fireworks both ways.
RBs
NK: D’Andre Swift, Kyren Williams
BPWL: Travis Etienne, Trevor Etienne
Edge: Possum (barely—name-brand consistency).
WRs
NK: Keenan Allen, Drake London, Jerry Jeudy
BPWL: Courtland Sutton, Marquise Brown
Edge: Nea Kameni (Allen is the steady hand this team thrives on).
TE
NK: Evan Engram
BPWL: Chigoziem Okonkwo
Edge: Kameni
DL / LB / DB
NK: George Karlaftis, Payton Wilson, Jordan Battle
BPWL: Brian Burns, Devin White, Xavier McKinney
Edge: Kameni — Jordan Battle’s INT machine act can swing this.
Bottom Line:
Nea Kameni just keeps doing Nea Kameni things—disciplined, no weak links, death by fundamentals.
Prediction: Nea Kameni 167.8 – Big Possum Walks Late 129.4
What’s at Stake:
Nea Kameni stays neck-and-neck with Double Sluggo atop the LFC West; Big Possum faces near elimination.
Storyline:
A heavyweight slugfest between two proud franchises—one built on air, the other on precision. The Squatches still roar as defending champs, but Jager Bombs are grinding out wins through pure lineup discipline.
QB
RS: C.J. Stroud
JB: Jared Goff
Edge: Bombs (Stroud’s ceiling can’t overcome Goff’s match-up).
RBs
RS: Jonathan Taylor, Jahmyr Gibbs
JB: Christian McCaffrey, Rico Dowdle
Edge: Bombs (C-Mac is the cheat code).
WRs
RS: Tee Higgins, Jameson Williams, George Pickens
JB: DeVonta Smith, Ladd McConkey
Edge: Squatches (Higgins is back to alpha form).
TE
RS: Colby Parkinson
JB: Travis Kelce
Edge: Bombs, by a mile.
DL / LB / DB
RS: T.J. Watt, Tremaine Edmunds, Minkah Fitzpatrick
JB: Aidan Hutchinson, Lavonte David, Marcus Jones
Edge: Push — elite units both sides.
Bottom Line:
McCaffrey and Kelce are just too steady. Squatches fight, but Jager’s roster construction proves why they’re perennial playoff fixtures.
Prediction: Jager Bombs 173.5 – Rockin Squatches 165.2
What’s at Stake:
Squatches need this to stay in striking range of the division lead; Bombs look to cement top-three status.
Storyline:
Jakku Resistance is fresh off a 50-burger from Ja’Marr Chase. KingAj86’s morale? Somewhere near the Mariana Trench after watching Joe Flacco torch him… from his own bench.
QB
KingAj86: Caleb Williams
JAKU: Jalen Hurts
Edge: Jakku
RBs
KAJ: Ashton Jeanty, Cam Skattebo
JAKU: Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Ollie Gordon II
Edge: Jakku
WRs
KAJ: Mike Evans, Romeo Doubs, Brian Thomas Jr.
JAKU: CeeDee Lamb, Ja’Marr Chase, Nico Collins
Edge: Not even close—Jakku Resistance by a galaxy.
TE
KAJ: Jake Ferguson
JAKU: Dallas Goedert
Edge: Jakku
DL / LB / DB
KAJ: Jared Verse, Leo Chenal, Josh Metellus
JAKU: Maxx Crosby, T.J. Edwards, Patrick Queen, Quentin Lake
Edge: Jakku
Bottom Line:
Chase alone can outscore half of KingAj’s lineup. Unless Caleb Williams channels rookie-year Mahomes, this one could get ugly.
Prediction: Jakku Resistance 189.9 – KingAj86 128.4
What’s at Stake:
Jakku keeps pace in the LFC South arms race; KingAj faces roster-rebuild reality.
Storyline:
It’s been a brutal year for Guinness—bottom-of-the-barrel scoring and no hops left. Ozarks, on the other hand, just saw Davante Adams wake up and might be poised for a playoff push.
QB
OZK: Jordan Love
GUIN: Bryce Young
Edge: Ozarks
RBs
OZK: Saquon Barkley
GUIN: David Montgomery, Rhamondre Stevenson
Edge: Push — depends who actually scores.
WRs
OZK: Davante Adams, Stefon Diggs, Alec Pierce, Tre Tucker
GUIN: Jakobi Meyers, Rashid Shaheed
Edge: Ozarks by volume and ceiling.
TE
OZK: George Kittle
GUIN: Theo Johnson
Edge: Ozarks
DL / LB / DB
OZK: Zach Sieler, Tyrel Dodson, Geno Stone
GUIN: Jonah Laulu, Nick Bolton, Kevin Byard
Edge: Ozarks
Bottom Line:
Unless Bryce Young discovers time travel, the Ozarks cruise.
Prediction: Ozarks 177.8 – Guinness 121.3
What’s at Stake:
A must-win for Ozarks to reach .500 and stay relevant; Guinness just wants a pint and a pick in the 2026 draft.
Storyline:
A true David-versus-Goliath setup—except David forgot his slingshot. The Architect is methodically constructing a contender with Jayden Daniels and a defense that hits like a wrecking ball.
QB
ARCH: Jayden Daniels
GD: Patrick Mahomes
Edge: Grave Diggers (the only one they’ll get).
RBs
ARCH: Kenneth Walker III, Devon Achane
GD: Hassan Haskins
Edge: Architect
WRs
ARCH: Amon-Ra St. Brown, Malik Washington
GD: Rashee Rice, Marvin Harrison Jr.
Edge: Architect — reliability beats raw ceiling.
TE
ARCH: Zach Ertz, Jonnu Smith
GD: Tyler Warren
Edge: Architect
DL / LB / DB
ARCH: Josh Allen (DL), Bobby Wagner, Jalen Ramsey, Jalen Thompson
GD: Micah Parsons, Logan Wilson, Derwin James
Edge: Push — both have top-flight IDPs.
Bottom Line:
Mahomes may sling, but The Architect’s design rarely collapses. Expect steady output across the board.
Prediction: The Architect 172.4 – Grave Diggers 134.7
What’s at Stake:
Architect keeps pressure on Double Sluggo atop the UFC North; Diggers start sketching mock drafts.
Double Sluggo (8-1) sits atop the mountain, but Nea Kameni and Jakku Resistance are closing fast.
Jager Bombs and Rockin Squatches could collide again come playoff time.
The Process and Guinness are racing toward the bottom—and that coveted No. 1 pick.
As we cross the midpoint of the 2025 TBL2 season, separation is becoming survival. Every lineup tweak, every defensive stat, every tenth of a point matters now. Week 7 isn’t just about who wins—it’s about who still believes they can.
Projected League-High Score: Jakku Resistance (189.9)
Upset Alert: Fanny Dusters over Ass Pennies
Game of the Week: Rockin Squatches vs Jager Bombs
Blowout Watch: Nea Kameni over Big Possum Walks Late
