Playoffs Have Started!
First and foremost, I want to apologize that I was unable to handle this before Thursday. I was hired on a month ago to be the Freshmen Basketball Head Coach at my local high school. All the while continuing my coaching duties to the 8th grade club team that I committed to, along with my full time career. It was the start of our season and I just got overwhelmed. I also had a funeral on Thursday that consumed my heart and mind. I know I should not have let it linger that long... so for that I am sorry to all for the confusion.
Secondly, I want to thank Tim for hopping in and assisting me. He literally was contacted about 2 hours before kick off, when I realized I was unable to attend to this matter. He did not have to do that, he retired a couple years back to avoid this crap. So to you Tim, thank you and I am sorry.
Lastly, I concur after review that this should be the rankings:
According to the by-laws 1-3 are the divisional winners. It clearly states that Hollywood won the division. The next 3 are seated by highest non seated points. No head to head issues unless their was a tie on points.
Again, Sorry for any confusion and good luck to those in the playoffs.
Happy Holidays,
Commish Carr
thanks for chiming in. As long as I have been in this league I was unaware of the ability to click on the tie breakers in the standings page.
My mistake was in I quite literally take head 2 head to mean only the games the teams play against eachother. Whereas what it appears to be is the record against common opponents. It gets a bit convoluted trying to figure out manually so that tab on the standings page is a life saver. Thanks again for helping me get it right, I was trying to as quickly as I could put something together as I honestly hadn't been paying close attention and it kinda got sprung on me late notice. Tim

Youi are correct. Sorry, I thought you had lost your head 2 head match vs pass.
I think Octane should be #5 and Back that pass #6. Octane won the Head to Head in week 8
Hollywood split the head to head with Boz but beat Quinn who also beat Boz. Pass up is given the 5 seed for record over Octane because of the H2H.
In this league the head to head is weighed more heavily than the total points. It is not as popular as other league tiebreakers but has always been that way. In the standings category it gives an explanation of what is used to break ties. The seeding is supposed to be : 1. Hollywood. 2. Quinn 3. BBBruts 4. BOZ 5. Pass Up . 6. High Octane
Helping out Jeremy as he ran into a time crunch to set playoffs. Just want to document my seeding as the standings are showing different than my findings and there are seeding implications.
In the West division we have str8-2 hollywood and Boz is Back both with 10-4 records, 4-2 division records. They split the head to head matchups 1-1 with Boz winning week 3 and Str8-2 winning week 14. According to tie breakers in the rules section we go record (tied at 10-4), head to head record (tied 1-1), points in all games (advantage Boz), Points head to head (advantage Boz). So to me Boz would get the 1 seed and Str8-2 gets the top wild card seed (#4). I know if you click on standings it shows Str8-2 as the leader but I cannot find a tie-breaker in the rules that would back that result.
Let me know if I missed something obvious. Tim
