My 3 sons is current about complete lips service from customer service regarding playing a competitive lineups. I’m not bitching and just wanted to follow up with everyone how RTS handled it. I’m not even really mad at Surf Anglers, he found a loophole to get a higher draft pick and RTS endorses it, so I’m pissed off at RTS for allowing owners to do this. I am confused why he’s doing it to begin with because he has a playoff team and could have won this week. I’d rather have his team over my own, so maybe I should start laying down too. Nah I have morals. If you’re going to lay down why not the whole team? So confusing.
1st email back from Chris Thompson chris@rtsports.com (manager)
“The owner just hasn't logged on or made any moves for a couple weeks. He benched Daniels when he was out in week 4 and started the only QB backup he had. Then didn't log in again or make any moves since then.” *Me, that should mean you jump in and make a competitive lineup.
2nd response back after lineup was adjusted the next week.
“Below is how it works from the rules. Milroe was not out at all and Johnston was not out by 6am, so those players were not touched.” *Me, so even though a player won’t ever go on the playing field it’s okay to start them.
“From the rules:”
“In the interest of competition, between 12:01am ET and 6:00am ET on each NFL game day of the fantasy league's regular season, the system will automatically replace any starter with a bye or that has an injury statuþs of "Out", or equivalent (on I/R, suspended, military leave, etc.) on a roster with a bench player from that same roster. At the same time, the system will automatically fill in any missing starters from a team's lineup, if possible. On Sundays and Mondays, the system will only adjust lineups that have not been set by a team owner during the current week. On days prior to Sunday, the system will only adjust lineups that have not been set by a team owner during the current or previous week.”
Complete lip service and how is it not considered cheating? I personally will never be in anything but best ball moving forward. Out of the 4 sites I do fantasy football with RTS is the only one that doesn’t demand a competitive lineups.
Hopefully you found this interesting and can make your own decision if you want to continue next year based upon the rules. Maybe if enough owners complain RTS will change this stupid rule of allowing teams to cheat and doing nothing about it.
FYI I am not telling or asking people what to do, I’m just relaying the email responses I received back from a supervisor. Do with it as you want.
Thanks all and have a nice season.
