the rules are set the way they are for a reason. milroe being benched when not injured or on a bye makes no sense because you are being subjective. sure, its easy to say this is a backup qb and projected to be on the bench and will probably get 0 but can you do that with other positions? The answer is no. Any RB or WR or TE can put up numbers any given week if they aren't on a bye or hurt. Even practice squad players like Carter, Knight or Vidal can be valuable within an hour on game day. So what you're asking for is a subjective/manual decision maker that goes to every lineup within every league on this site right before kickoff and has different rules for different positions. That's impossible to do. Even if it can be done, imagine the system swapping out Lamar for Rush (because he's projected higher or whatever criteria you are suggesting how this swap takes place) only to find out 10 min later Lamar is last minute inactive after you personally swapped Lamar out minutes before because it was doubtful he was going to play but it just wasn't official yet so they system didn't know. Every website has this same automated system that swaps in byes and injured players that are confirmed out. What you're asking is to swap people out without that guaranteed out status which makes no sense outside of backup QBs which is insane to create an entire new system for that one situation

My 3 sons is current about complete lips service from customer service regarding playing a competitive lineups. I’m not bitching and just wanted to follow up with everyone how RTS handled it. I’m not even really mad at Surf Anglers, he found a loophole to get a higher draft pick and RTS endorses it, so I’m pissed off at RTS for allowing owners to do this. I am confused why he’s doing it to begin with because he has a playoff team and could have won this week. I’d rather have his team over my own, so maybe I should start laying down too. Nah I have morals. If you’re going to lay down why not the whole team? So confusing.

1st email back from Chris Thompson chris@rtsports.com (manager)
“The owner just hasn't logged on or made any moves for a couple weeks. He benched Daniels when he was out in week 4 and started the only QB backup he had. Then didn't log in again or make any moves since then.” *Me, that should mean you jump in and make a competitive lineup.

2nd response back after lineup was adjusted the next week.
“Below is how it works from the rules. Milroe was not out at all and Johnston was not out by 6am, so those players were not touched.” *Me, so even though a player won’t ever go on the playing field it’s okay to start them.

“From the rules:”

“In the interest of competition, between 12:01am ET and 6:00am ET on each NFL game day of the fantasy league's regular season, the system will automatically replace any starter with a bye or that has an injury statuþs of "Out", or equivalent (on I/R, suspended, military leave, etc.) on a roster with a bench player from that same roster. At the same time, the system will automatically fill in any missing starters from a team's lineup, if possible. On Sundays and Mondays, the system will only adjust lineups that have not been set by a team owner during the current week. On days prior to Sunday, the system will only adjust lineups that have not been set by a team owner during the current or previous week.”

Complete lip service and how is it not considered cheating? I personally will never be in anything but best ball moving forward. Out of the 4 sites I do fantasy football with RTS is the only one that doesn’t demand a competitive lineups.

Hopefully you found this interesting and can make your own decision if you want to continue next year based upon the rules. Maybe if enough owners complain RTS will change this stupid rule of allowing teams to cheat and doing nothing about it.
FYI I am not telling or asking people what to do, I’m just relaying the email responses I received back from a supervisor. Do with it as you want.

Thanks all and have a nice season.

I agree

I agree and that’s just one reason Im done using their website after this season. They threaten me about bringing up other websites so I won’t, but most of my leagues are with someone else that do what’s in the rules. Shit happens and probably hard to look at every lineup but when owners make them aware of it fix it. Bullshit

Furthermore, they promote tanking.
Last year they implemented a new system, with the bottom 6 that dont make the playoffs, have their own playoffs for the Top 6 draft picks in the following year's draft. And the 2 teams with the lowest points scored throughout the season, get 1st round byes, so essentially, they will have a Top 4 pick regardless.
People in a ton of leagues were tanking all over the place. Setting their lineups with bums, injured players, on byes, whatever. By doing this, it allowed certain teams to get FREE wins and get into the playoffs and others to get screwed. It was all BS.
You would have thought that this year, they would have changed the rules to address their flawed system and reward the Top 2 scoring teams with the most points that didnt make the playoffs, a 1st round bye.
Nope. They never did anything. Just left it, and the same thing will start happening very soon with teams not setting their lineups or setting a crappy lineup.

RTS rarely does anything but give lip service. I bet they still allowed Spears or Taysom Hill be on people's IR, although they've been active the last 2 weeks. Complaining rarely does any good. It's my opinion that they just don't care. I've complained to them more times than I can count. They don't even inforce there own rules. They will tell you they have a system that replaces injured players or players on their bye weeks. It's all lip service

I’ve asked RTS the last few weeks why they are not doing anything about Surf Anglers lineup seeing he’s benching solid starters like Daniel’s for a non starting QB Milroe and they are doing nothing. Rules say they adjust non competitive lineups. The rest of you should say something unless everyone likes getting free wins. Same division teams get 2 free wins which could cost several teams to miss the playoffs.

I’m not trying to be a bitch, but it’s 3 weeks in a row. He also played Johnston who was ruled out. I’m actually hurting myself because I didn’t get my free win playing him yet. He has a good team if he plays a correct lineup.

I hope he’s well & not in hospital or something and just doesn’t care.

Have a blessed week all

I’m not talking about your last offer, I’m talking about all the ones over the last few years. Your offers were so ridiculous. I actually responded back to you to stop sending me offers. Why don’t you repost that one?

I’m in 32 leagues bro. I don’t remember any conversation with you before these last couple of weeks
