The Buffaloes are proud to wear the crown of the Examiner Fantasy Football League again after so many years in exile. Congrats to Dave for a hard-fought title game that could have easily gone either way. Most important, thank you to the little people I had to step on to get to the top... You know who you are!

Pick'em race has tightened. Karl, you might want to make some wild picks next week.

Congratulations to the Buffaloes. What a nail biter of a final! Sure didn’t expect to get this far after sitting at .500 most of the season, so I can’t complain.  Still, I’ll always regret talking myself out of subbing Hunter Henry for Kelce.

Congrats Buffaloes! The Examiner FF League champion 2025.

… “while the Daddies, who barely qualified for the playoffs,” …

It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.

It was a stunning week for the two teams that dominated most of the year this season. The top two seeds and division champs were both upset in the semifinals, as the Nickell Buffaloes and Maq Daddies advance to play for the league championship.

The Buffaloes continued their late roll knocking off the Big Johnsons, while the Daddies, who barely qualified for the playoffs, edged the Floyds by one point, 43-42.

Both the Buffaloes and Daddies finished 7-7 in the regular season and entered the playoffs as the 5th and 6th seeds. The Buffaloes must be considered the favorite as the league's leading scorer. Over the last two weeks  they have vaulted from the league's third leading scorer to the front with a 47-point lead over the next closest team. So the Buffaloes can win both the championship and likely the scoring title with a win this week. The Buffaloes will be trying to end an 18-year drought on top of the podium. Their last title was in 2007. The Daddies won their lone crown in franchise history in 2019. The winner gets 50% of the pot, while second place gets 25%. The scoring champ earns 10% This is the final week for the scoring race.

The Big Johnsons and Pink Floyds will play for third place and the remaining 15% of the pot. The Hand Grenades hold a five-game lead in the Pickem contest, but that still has two weeks to, through final regular season.

On that last week, the Toilet Bowl will feature the Grenades and QMaster.
