Each off-season, I will put dates on the message board that are very important to the league. Deadlines, draft dates, opening of the waiver wire, draft order, etc. Be aware and check in on the league.
LEAGUE FEES:

$57 total = $50 wager plus $7 site fee (site fee is subject to change if rtsports site fee increases/decreases). Payouts will be sent by www.leaguesafe.com
LEAGUE PAYOUTS:
100% PAYOUT
$400.00- WINNER
$150.00- RUNNER-UP
$50.00- 3RD
Remaining balance will reimburse commish payment of rtsports site dues
DRAFT:
Every year we will have a 5 round free agent/ rookie draft.
The 6 teams not making the playoffs will be placed in order based on lowest points scored for the season (with the lowest scoring team receiving the earlier pick). If a tie occurs during that process, the team with the least total points will be given the lower draft pick.
The 6 teams that make the playoffs, will be given their draft slot after the playoffs. Refer to playoff section to see how draft slots are assigned.
The Rookie/Free Agent draft is a straight draft, going from picks 1-12, and then back to 1 again. It is NOT a serpentine draft. The team with pick 1.01 will have pick 2.01, 3.01, etc., unless any of those picks have been traded.
The Rookie/FA draft shall include any NFL free agents that are not on a current fantasy roster, as well as all rookies selected during the NFL draft. Any players drafted in the supplemental NFL draft after the start of our Rookie/FA draft will be entered into the League free agent pool and be eligible for pickup at the start of the waiver wire process (currently late August)
PLAYOFFS:
A 6 team playoff will be held weeks 15-17. Seeds 1-3 will be divisional winners. Seeds 4-6 will be determined the following way. Seed 4 highest scoring team not seeded 1-3. Seed 5, best record not seeded 1-4. Seed 6, highest scoring team not seeded 1-5. Schedule will be as follows:
Week 15: Seeds 1 and 2 (top 2 records) are on bye, Seed 3 vs Seed 6, Seed 4 vs Seed 5.
Week 16: Seed 1 vs lowest remaining seed, Seed 2 vs highest remaining seed
Consolation game: Losers of week 15 games play to determine draft order. Winner gets the 7th draft position, loser gets 8th draft position.
Week 17: Winners from Week 15 (excluding the consolation game) match up for the championship. Winner receives 1st place money and the 12th draft position. Loser receives 2nd place money and 11th draft position.
Losers of Week 16 (excluding the consolation game) match up to determine 3rd place. Winner receives 3rd place money and 10th draft position. Loser receives 9th draft position.
PLAYOFF TIES:
1. Total points scored for team starting QB
2. Total points scored for starting RBS
3. Total points scored for starting WRS
4. Total points scored for starting TES
ROSTERS:
In-season Rosters: each team will have 25 roster spots with 2 spots for IR.
Off-season Rosters: Prior to our rookie/free agent draft each roster will need to be cut to 20 players. This is to ensure we have enough players to make for a nice rookie/free agent draft. If your roster is not cut to 20 by the deadline the commish has set on the message board, then players will be cut for you. These players will be cut based on lowest percentage rostered. Expect this deadline to be a week prior to our draft.
After the pre-draft cuts are made and up until the opening of the next season's waiver wire, roster limits are lifted. This is to allow easier trading and roster management during the draft and other off-season events. The week prior to waivers reopening for the regular season there will be a cutdown date announced. At this date you must return your rosters to the in-season limit of 25 active, 2 IR. If your roster is not made legal by the deadline the commish has posted on the message board then he/she will make the necessary cuts to make them legal. Again he/she will use lowest percentage rostered to decide cuts. Expect this event to be late August.
LINEUPS:
Lineups are due before that player's game starts. Lineups will be 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 3Flex for a total of 9 players. The FLEX can be used for RB, WR or TE. So you could potentially start up to 1QB, 5RB, 5WR, 4TE.
Free Agency Acquisitions and Blind Bidding:
The free agent acquisition process is made by way of "blind bidding". Each team is given 1,000 free agent "dollars" at the start of a season (not real money), which they may use to bid on free agents during a weekly blind bidding process.
Bids shall be placed individually, or in groups, with conditional bids following the primary bid. The top bid is the primary bid in a bidding group. The bids underneath are conditional bids. If you lose the primary bid, the first conditional bid directly below will be considered next. If you lose the primary and the first conditional bid, then the second conditional bid will be considered, etc. The rest of your bidding groups will be processed in the same manner. A maximum of one player can be won in each bidding group. It's important to remember when placing multiple free agent bids that you cannot win two players if they both have the same drop player. You may not place different bid amount on the same player. In this case, only the highest dollar bid will be considered.
Dollar amounts do not determine preference of bids - only the order in which the bids are placed determine preference. Example: conditional bid #3 can be a higher dollar amount than the primary bid.
TRADES:
Trades will be allowed until kickoff of week 15 then reopen at the conclusion of Top Gun Championship. After the conclusion of the Top Gun playoffs, trading is only allowed between teams that have paid their next year's dues. We can trade players and draft pick for 1 season in advance. All trades are expected to be made in good faith and with the goal of making both teams better. Each trade will be executed without league vote. If a trade is executed, it will be final.
In the event that a team is orphaned a dispersal draft may be held. Returning owners will email their intentions to the defending champion by a set deadline. Dispersals will only be held if more than one team (including orphans) chooses to enter.
STANDARDS
When signing up for this league you agree to play to the best of your abilities. Throwing games for any reason is not acceptable and could lead to removal from the league.
BYLAW CHANGES
Each offseason any returning league member has the right to propose changes to the leagues by laws. These proposals can only take place between the dates posted in the league message board (From Jan 1st until Late March typically). If there are any proposals made, the league will put them to vote by league poll. It takes a league majority to pass a bylaw (7 or more votes out of 12 in favor).
BEST INTEREST CLAUSE
Should circumstances, issues, or problems arise for which a remedy is not stated in the Rules... the commissioner reserves the right to take whatever actions he/she deems necessary in the best interest of the league.
DISCLAIMER
Many of the settings to ensure the bylaws are enforced are done manually. These include the turning trading on and off of many deadlines (trading, waivers, etc). Furthermore, many of the settings are not as customizable as strictly necessary to meet the needs of our specific and sometimes complex bylaws. Please defer to the bylaws to make sure a specific roster move is allowed prior to making it. If the transaction is deemed illegal by the bylaws it will be reversed.
ex. 1: Rtsports has not allowed free agency to be shut off in the off-season w/o freezing all roster movements. So we leave it open and reverse any add/drops made during the off-season. Timestamps will be used to determine illegal waiver activity.
ex. 2: Our trade deadline initiates on a Thursday evening. Rtsports only allows trading deadlines to be set on weekends, so I must manually turn trades on/off at the exact moment our bylaws require. Sometimes that is difficult to do at the exact necessary moment, so trades can slip through past deadline. Again, any trade that violates the bylaws will be reversed regardless of the site allowing it to pass. Timestamps will be used to determine illegal trades.
