Diggs was out-snapped and out-produced by Kayshon Boutte, but the veteran still turned in a solid showing of his own with seven targets, six catches, and 57 yards. We can expect similar usage and productivity from Diggs this week as he takes on the Dolphins, who were ripped to pieces by the Indianapolis Colts last week. There's still a good chance that Boutte and perhaps even Hunter Henry remain ahead of Diggs in the pecking order, but with a favorable matchup on tap, he can still carve out a fantasy-relevant role. He ranks as a low-end WR3/flex option this week.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow didn't play well in the AFC North showdown with the Browns. The signal-caller would go on to finish with only 113 yards and one touchdown off 14-for-23 (60.9%) passing while adding three yards off two carries. Despite the underwhelming performance, the Bengals managed to pull off the win. Without question, his subpar showing in Week 1 left a sour taste in the mouths of fantasy managers. Heading into Week 2, Burrow and the rest of the offense will look to get it together. The 2020 No. 1 overall pick has had success versus the Jags during his career (two meetings), tossing for a combined 648 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Granted, his previous accomplishments against Jacksonville doesn't necessarily mean he'll match the same level of production. However, with this one expected to be the highest-scoring contest on the slate, both quarterbacks may be throwing until the end, meaning Burrow could play better this time around. Keep him starting in all fantasy setups.

New England Patriots wide receiver DeMario Douglas is not a reliable option in most fantasy football leagues against the Miami Dolphins this week. While Douglas did command seven targets and score a touchdown in Week 1, he caught just two passes and finished the game with negative yardage. The receiver has never been a major touchdown contributor, so we should pay more attention to his reception and yardage totals, neither of which were promising. The 16 percent target share is solid, but Douglas is still behind Kayshon Boutte, Stefon Diggs, and Hunter Henry in the pecking order. Even with a favorable matchup on tap, Douglas can't be trusted. Managers should leave him on the bench in Week 2.

Even worse, he had only two catches for 26 yards. To be fair, the entire offense struggled during the AFC North encounter, with quarterback Joe Burrow throwing for only 113 yards and one touchdown. Chase hasn't been immune to subpar showings throughout his career. With that said, unless this trend continues, which it likely won't, there's no reason he should be sitting on fantasy benches in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Keep him starting in all fantasy formats. Of course, that should be obvious to most fantasy participants.

New England Patriots tight end Austin Hooper can be left on waivers in most fantasy leagues ahead of his Week 2 matchup against the Miami Dolphins. New England does operate out of two-tight end sets often, which allowed Hooper to have plenty of fantasy-relevant showings in 2024. However, we have not seen him demonstrate as much productivity this season as he caught his lone target for 10 yards in the season opener. Even though he works his way onto the field, Hooper is a rung below fellow tight end Hunter Henry in the pecking order. He can be avoided in Week 2.

New York Jets running back Braelon Allen projects again to play second fiddle in the team's backfield this Sunday when they take on the Buffalo Bills at home. The 21-year-old was able to punch in a rushing score last weekend in their loss to the Steelers, but was the clear-cut second option behind running mate Breece Hall. The latter out-touched the former 21-6, and Allen did not receive a target in the passing game. Even if he does operate as New York's goal line back - which has not been noted or confirmed - that role would not guarantee fantasy points as he'll be subject to Justin Fields stealing touches in that area. For now, Allen should continue to mix in behind Hall as the foremost change-of-pace option. While that's the case, his value will come primarily as a high-end handcuff. The second-year pro ranks as RotoBaller's PPR RB39 ahead of Week 2.

New York Jets running back Breece Hall will look to build off his strong start this Sunday when his team hosts their division rival, the Buffalo Bills, at MetLife Stadium. The Jets' offense was flying high in Week 1 despite ultimately losing out in a shootout to former teammate Aaron Rodgers. Hall saw new quarterback Justin Fields rush in two scores in the loss, although he operated as New York's primary rusher, toting 19 carries to a combined eight for backfield mates Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis. Moreover, he saw four targets - the second-most on the team. The 24-year-old boasted just one outing of over 100 rushing yards in 2024, and he'll get a chance to eclipse the century mark again this weekend. Buffalo was torched by the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1 for 238 yards on the ground, and Hall and Fields could give the team fits again when they visit East Rutherford, New Jersey. He's a fringe RB1 - RotoBaller's PPR RB11 - ahead of Week 2's slate.

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers (back) has been cleared for Week 2's divisional matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Nabers saw elite volume in the opener, drawing 12 targets, but managed just five catches for 71 yards against Washington. Dallas, now under defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus, played zone coverage on more than 95% of snaps in Week 1 and successfully bottled up A.J. Brown. That said, Nabers was dominant against zone looks in college and graded as the top rookie receiver versus zone coverage in 2024. If the Giants' offensive line can give Russell Wilson time, Nabers has a clear path to WR1 production this week.

Fantasy managers can expect New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson to garner another huge workload in Week 2's meeting with the visiting Buffalo Bills. The Ohio State product displayed excellent chemistry with his quarterback, Justin Fields, during their Week 1 loss to the Steelers. Wilson was the only Jets' pass-catcher to command more than four looks (nine) - pulling in a whopping 41% of Fields' targets. With fellow wideout Josh Reynolds (hamstring) deemed inactive, Fields could further lean on Wilson in a tough outing with the Bills. Despite the less-than-ideal matchup, he'll continue to be a target vacuum, which bodes well for his fantasy value. Perhaps more importantly, Fields looked comfortable in his Jets' debut and should be forced to put up points with Josh Allen on the other sideline. The fourth-year pro is RotoBaller's PPR WR13 in an outing with a 47.5-point over/under.

Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz was perfect in Week 1, converting all four of his attempts (two field goals, two extra points) in a 20-12 win over the Tennessee Titans. Despite the clean performance, Denver's offensive struggles capped his fantasy output, as he finished just 17th among kickers for the week. Lutz now faces the Indianapolis Colts in a matchup that could be low scoring after both teams' defensive units impressed in their openers. While Lutz entered the year ranked as a top-five option on some fantasy platforms, his Week 2 outlook carries more volatility. He should be viewed as a high-risk, high-reward streamer rather than a locked-in starter.

Arizona Cardinals kicker Chad Ryland put together a solid performance in Week 1 after scoring a total of eight points while going 2-for-3 in field goals. He knocked through a 42 and 50-yard field goal, but had a 46-yarder blocked in the fourth quarter. The Cardinals' offense should be able to move the ball down the field again in Week 2 as they take on the Carolina Panthers, who just gave up 26 points to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1. This puts Ryland into the K1 category again, especially after registering a K10 finish in that first outing.

New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson is merely a volume-based FLEX play in deeper fantasy leagues ahead of Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins. Stevenson handled just seven carries and three targets in Week 1, producing just 27 scrimmage yards. He is expected to have a decreased role this week as the Patriots continue to incorporate Tre'Veyon Henderson more. Stevenson's fantasy value is slightly boosted, however, by a matchup against the Dolphins, who were arguably the NFL's worst team in Week 1. Miami allowed 112 rushing yards (3.7 YPC) to running backs last weekend, as well as a pair of rushing touchdowns to Daniel Jones. Stevenson isn't going to see a whole lot of volume, but he could get some extra yardage if Miami's defense continues to get dismantled.

New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte is looking to build off a very strong season opener as he prepares to take on the Miami Dolphins in Week 2. Boutte emerged as Drake Maye's favorite and most dependable target last weekend, catching six of the eight passes thrown his way for 103 yards. He led the New England wide receiver corps with his 82 percent snap share. All signs point to Boutte remaining heavily involved in Week 2 against a porous Dolphins defense that was ripped apart by the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday. Boutte's involvement isn't as guaranteed as some of the other alpha receivers in the NFL, but he still has a steady floor with a very high ceiling. Fantasy managers should feel comfortable deploying him as a solid WR3/flex option in Week 2.

Denver Broncos tight end Evan Engram (calf) is expected to suit up for Week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts after leaving the opener with a calf contusion. Engram's usage before the injury was concerning, as he played just 44% of the snaps overall and was on the field for only 56% of Denver's passing plays. Adam Trautman, the more experienced blocker, was featured more heavily in Sean Payton's game plan. The much-hyped "Joker role" for Engram in Payton's offense appears overstated based on Week 1 usage. While the Colts were vulnerable to tight ends in 2024, allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to the position, Engram's limited playing time keeps him off the fantasy radar for now.

Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride needs no introduction at this point. Last season, he was the second-most targeted tight end and saw the eighth most overall. In Week 1, he received another nine targets and caught six of them for 61 yards. The only area he's lacked in thus far in his career is finding the end zone. For fantasy purposes, that hasn't hindered his production, especially in PPR formats. According to RotoBaller's matchup ratings, McBride has the second-best rating against the Carolina Panthers among all tight ends. The only one above him would be Brock Bowers if he ends up playing. It should go without saying that McBride should be in all lineups.

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney (shoulder) was a fullparticipant in practice on Friday after being limited earlier in the week, and heads into Sunday night's matchup with the Vikings without an injury designation. The 27-year-old should slide back into his role as No. 2 receiver behind Drake London (shoulder), who also practiced fully on Friday. Mooney owned a solid 21.3 percent target share last season with the same receiving corps, although much of that was with Kirk Cousins under center. In the two games he played with Michael Penix Jr. at the helm, Mooney's target share dropped to 17.7 percent. Going up against a tough run defense, the Falcons may prefer to attack Minnesota through the air, but with plenty of receiving options at their disposal and Mooney potentially getting eased back into action, the sixth-year pro should be viewedas a high-end WR4/Flex play in Week 2 with some slight upside in PPR formats.

Hill is coming off a down 2024 season, posting his lowest per-game receiving numbers since his rookie year. Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Zay Jones didn't play much of a part in the passing game during the Week 1 win over the New Orleans Saints. The 30-year-old caught his only target for four yards despite playing 47% of the snaps. When it comes to pecking order in the passing game, Jones was tied for sixth. Backup tight end Elijah Higgins and James Conner both saw more targets. So, even though their headed for a favorable matchup against the Carolina Panthers in Week 2, Jones can either remain on the waiver wire in average-sized leagues, or just be left on the bench.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins is expected to make his debut in Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens. Judkins missed all of training camp due to off-field issues and a contract holdout before finally signing his rookie deal just before Week 1. He also met with the NFL this week regarding a potential suspension, but no discipline has been announced. With limited practice time and no preseason action, Judkins is likely to see a scaled-back role in his debut. Facing a Baltimore defense that ranked among the league's best against the run in 2024, both Judkins and Dylan Sampson are tough to trust in fantasy lineups this week.
