Colts activate LB Jaylon Carlies from IR, make other moves

Sat Dec 6 1:52pm ET
Field Level Media

The Indianapolis Colts activated linebacker Jaylon Carlies from injured reserve on Saturday.

The Colts (8-4) also elevated kicker Blake Grupe and defensive tackle Chris Wormley to the active roster from the practice squad ahead of their Sunday game against the host Jacksonville Jaguars (8-4).

Carlies, 24, had been on injured reserve since sustaining an ankle injury late in training camp.

He played in 10 games (six starts) as a rookie in 2024. He finished with 36 tackles, including two for loss, one pass defensed and a sack.

Grupe will replace fellow kicker Michael Badgley, who was released this week after last Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Houston Texans.

Grupe, 27, was signed to the team's practice squad on Wednesday.

He was released by the New Orleans Saints after missing two field goals during Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. He was 18 for 26 on field-goal tries this season.

Wormley, 32, has 152 tackles and 12 sacks in 88 career games (31 starts) with four NFL teams in his career.

Player Notes
Justin Herbert Dec 6 3:00pm CT
Justin Herbert

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is listed as questionable for Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles after undergoing surgery to stabilize a fracture in his non-throwing (left) hand. Although he returned last week in the win over the Las Vegas Raiders, completing 15 of 20 passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns, the offense has already adjusted to his protection issues, reducing his average depth of target (aDOT) from 7.5 to 6.3 over the past three games. The Eagles' defense is average but boasts a top-10 pressure rate, which is a concern for a quarterback playing through pain, even if Philadelphia defensive tackle Jalen Carter might be out. With Offensive Coordinator Greg Roman known for favoring a run-heavy approach, the Chargers will likely rely on the ground game to protect their signal-caller. RotoBaller ranks Herbert as QB16 this week, making him a risky mid-range QB2 who should only be started by managers in superflex leagues or those in desperate need of a plug-and-play option.

Joe Burrow Dec 6 3:00pm CT
Joe Burrow

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow returned in the Week 13 win over the Baltimore Ravens. The signal-caller had trouble completing his throws (24-for-46). However, he still tossed for 261 yards and two touchdowns. While Burrow only had eight yards off three carries, he looked good from a mobility standpoint, which was certainly refreshing for fantasy managers. With the Bengals coming off a much-needed victory, snapping a four-game skid, they will look to remain on the winning path by taking down the Bills in Week 14. Fortunately, Burrow will have Tee Higgins (concussion) back in the lineup after a one-game absence. The former LSU Tiger also likely got rid of any residual rust caused by the lengthy stint on the shelf. As such, he should (in theory) improve as it pertains to his completion percentage, considering he's historically been an accurate passer. Although the weather in Buffalo can be a concern at this point in the season, it doesn't appear as if it will be a significant issue. All things considered, Burrow is a must-start, especially with Sunday's contest projected to be the highest-scoring game of the Week.

Ja'Marr Chase Dec 6 3:00pm CT
Ja'Marr Chase

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase didn't find the end zone in the win over the Ravens in Week 13. However, the wideout still finished with seven catches for 110 yards while being targeted 14 times. Tee Higgins (concussion) wasn't available for that one, so Chase had to pick up most of the slack in Joe Burrow's first game in over two months. With Higgins back for the Week 14 showdown with the Buffalo Bills, the 25-year-old will presumably see less attention on the receiving end. Still, there should be more than enough opportunities for Chase to finish as a top fantasy producer in a contest that could feature plenty of offense from both sides, assuming the weather in Buffalo cooperates.

Justin Herbert Dec 6 2:30pm CT
Justin Herbert

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert (hand) is officially listed as questionable for Monday night's matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Herbert is reportedly expected to play based on an earlier report from Dianna Russini of The Athletic, but he will be labeled as questionable heading into Monday night. The 27-year-old signal caller suffered a metacarpal fracture in his left hand during the Chargers' Week 13 win over the Las Vegas Raiders and underwent surgery this past Monday. Herbert has completed 66.9% of his passes for 2,842 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions while adding 57 carries for a career high 353 rushing yards and one touchdown in 12 games this season. If Herbert suits up Monday night, he will rank as a mid-range QB2 in a tough matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

From RotoBaller

Elic Ayomanor Dec 6 2:10pm CT
Elic Ayomanor

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Elic Ayomanor struggled in his first game back after missing a week with a hamstring injury, recording just one catch for five yards on five targets in his team's blowout Week 13 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. On the bright side, Ayomanor has earned at least five targets in six straight games entering his Week 14 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. However, Ayomanor has been unable to turn the solid target volume into consistent production, recording 186 receiving yards and zero touchdowns over that six-game span. The 22-year-old's job won't get any easier in Week 14 against the Cleveland Browns. Entering the week, Cleveland has allowed the third-fewest passing yards (2,327) in the NFL. Ayomanor's stable target share gives him a projectable floor, but he still profiles as a deep-league flex option at best in Week 14.

From RotoBaller

Chimere Dike Dec 6 2:00pm CT
Chimere Dike

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Chimere Dike is coming off an underwhelming game in Week 13, recording just one catch for eight yards on four targets against the Jacksonville Jaguars. While Dike has played at least 76% of the Titans' offensive snaps in each of his last four fully healthy games, his upside is limited by the overall struggles of the team's pass game. Tennessee quarterback Cameron Ward has cracked 200 passing yards just once in his last four outings. The Titans face a difficult matchup in Week 14 against the Cleveland Browns. Through 13 weeks, Cleveland has allowed the third-fewest passing yards (2,327) in the NFL. At best, Dike profiles as a desperation flex option for deep-league fantasy managers in Week 14.

From RotoBaller

Tyjae Spears Dec 6 1:50pm CT
Tyjae Spears

Tennessee Titans running back Tyjae Spears has done most of his work as a receiver so far this season, recording 28 catches for 173 yards on 30 targets across eight games played. The 24-year-old has earned at least five targets in three straight weeks entering Week 14. Unfortunately for Spears, he's been brutal as a rusher over that same span, recording six total rushing yards on nine carries. The Titans are deploying a near dead-even backfield split between Spears and veteran back Tony Pollard. Since the team's Week 10 bye, Pollard has played 95 snaps to Spears' 92. The Titans have a tough matchup in Week 14 against the Cleveland Browns, who enter the week ranked second among NFL defenses in yards per carry allowed (3.7). Spears' receiving work gives him some desperation flex appeal in deep-PPR fantasy leagues, but his production upside is limited in Week 14.

From RotoBaller

Tony Pollard Dec 6 1:40pm CT
Tony Pollard

Across 12 games this season, Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard has recorded 753 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns on 177 touches. The 28-year-old has earned double-digit touches in every contest, but has not seen more than 15 in any game since Week 5. Since Tennessee's Week 10 bye, Pollard has played 95 offensive snaps while fellow Titans back Tyjae Spears has played 92. Given the nearly dead-even playing time split and the overall struggles of the Tennessee offense, Pollard's production upside has a firm ceiling. Additionally, the Titans have a tough matchup in Week 14 against the Cleveland Browns. Entering the week, Cleveland ranks second among all NFL defenses in yards per carry allowed (3.7). Pollard profiles as a deep-league flex option at best for fantasy managers in Week 14.

From RotoBaller

Cam Ward Dec 6 1:30pm CT
Cam Ward

Across 12 games, Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Cameron Ward has completed just 59.7% of his pass attempts for 2,351 yards, seven touchdowns, and six interceptions. The 23-year-old struggled mightily his last time out against the Jacksonville Jaguars, averaging a season-worst 3.7 yards per pass attempt. Ward's job won't get any easier in Week 14 when Tennessee takes on the Cleveland Browns. Through 13 weeks, Cleveland has allowed the third-fewest passing yards (2,327) and recorded the second-most sacks (43) in the NFL. Pass-rush pressure has been a major issue for Ward so far this season, as he's taken the most sacks (48) of any NFL quarterback in 2025. Even in two-quarterback formats, Ward should be off the radar of fantasy managers in Week 14.

From RotoBaller

Parker Washington Dec 6 12:50pm CT
Parker Washington

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington (hip) didn't practice Wednesday and was limited on Thursday and Friday. He is currently questionable for this week against the Indianapolis Colts. The Jaguars could use all the help they can get in an important divisional matchup, but from a fantasy perspective, Washington doesn't seem worth the risk. He had just one catch for 26 yards against the Titans last week and seems to have fallen behind Jakobi Meyers and Brenton Strange in the target pecking order. Even if he does play, it is unlikely he contributes much, besides maybe on special teams as a returner. Only fantasy managers in the deepest leagues should be considering starting a banged-up Washington in Week 14.

From RotoBaller

Cam Little Dec 6 12:40pm CT
Cam Little

Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Cam Little is a decent starting option for fantasy managers in a Week 14 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts. He had some off games in the middle of the season, but he has otherwise been relatively accurate, especially as of late. Little has also shown he has one of the biggest legs in the league, nailing an NFL record 68 yard field goal back in Week 9. Little has been great overall since the Week 8 bye, making him a good option in general moving forward. RotoBaller has Little ranked 13th this week, so Managers should view Little as a low-end starting kicker against the Colts.

From RotoBaller

Isaiah Bond Dec 6 12:40pm CT
Isaiah Bond

Cleveland Browns rookie wide receiver Isaiah Bond hasn't posted big receiving numbers this season, but he continues to run a decent number of routes. His 53.4% route share is third among Cleveland's wide receivers this season, and he's recorded 14 receptions for 199 yards on 35 targets in 11 games. The rookie wideout is still looking for his first touchdown, and came close to scoring one after hauling in a deep ball from fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders for a 52-yard gain down inside the five in Week 12 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Bond has a favorable matchup on Sunday against a Titans defense that has allowed the sixth-most PPR points per game to opposing wide receivers, however he is still just a very-deep league dart throw for Week 14 in the poor Browns passing attack.

From RotoBaller

Cedric Tillman Dec 6 12:40pm CT
Cedric Tillman

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Cedric Tillman hasn't been a big fantasy contributor since returning in Week 10 against the New York Jets after missing four games due to a hamstring injury. The 25-year-old has recorded six receptions for 68 yards on 12 targets over the past four games, while posting the third-highest route share (63.8%) for the Browns, trailing only Jerry Jeudy and rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr.Tillman is tough to trust for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans, with the current state of the Browns' offense. The Titans have allowed the sixth most PPR points per game to opposing wide receivers, but Tillman is only an option in deeper leagues in Week 14.

From RotoBaller

David Sills Dec 6 12:10pm CT
David Sills

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver David Sills V has caught touchdown passes in consecutive weeks, although he's done it while totaling four catches for 31 yards in those two games combined. The 29-year-old's opportunity has come while Drake London (knee) has been sidelined with injury the last couple of weeks, and that will again be the case in Week 14. The 6-foot-3 wideout provides a big target in the red zone compared to some of the other receiving options for the Falcons, but it could be tough to keep the scoring streak alive in Week 14 against Seattle, a defense that has yielded the fifth-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers for the season and is yielding just 152.7 yards per game through the air over their last three games. Atlanta has an implied total of just 19 points in this matchup, so there could be limited scoring opportunities, although, as seven-point underdogs, the Falcons may have to throwit to keep up. Either way, Sills makes for a risky play with trips to the fantasy playoffson the line in many leagues, so he's really only a viable option in the deepest of leagues, or perhaps a DFS tournament play.

From RotoBaller

Jerry Jeudy Dec 6 12:10pm CT
Jerry Jeudy

Across 12 games this season, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy has recorded 35 catches for 421 yards and one touchdown on 80 targets. The 26-year-old hasn't been much better in two games since Shedeur Sanders took over as Cleveland's starting quarterback, recording four catches for 65 yards on seven targets over the last two weeks. In Week 14, Jeudy and the Browns will take on the Tennessee Titans. Tennessee enters the week ranked 31st among NFL defenses in yards per pass attempt allowed (7.9). However, the Titans are a more respectable 19th in total passing yards allowed (2,832). The Browns could look to lean on their defense and run game in Week 14, which would be a negative for Jeudy's production upside. He profiles as a low-end WR4/deep-league flex option for fantasy managers in Week 14.

From RotoBaller

Dylan Sampson Dec 6 12:00pm CT
Dylan Sampson

Cleveland Browns rookie running back Dylan Sampson (calf) is questionable to play in his team's Week 14 matchup against the Tennessee Titans due to a calf injury. Sampson missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday but was able to return to the practice field on Friday. The 21-year-old has done most of his work this season as a receiver while working as the RB2 in Cleveland behind fellow rookie Quinshon Judkins. In his final full game before getting injured back in Week 12, Sampson recorded two catches for 59 yards and a touchdown on three targets against the Las Vegas Raiders. His matchup against the Titans in Week 14 is favorable on paper, as Tennessee currently ranks 26th among NFL defenses in yards per carry allowed (4.6). However, Sampson's injury and workload uncertainty should lead to him being off fantasy radars in Week 14.

From RotoBaller

Tyler Allgeier Dec 6 11:50am CT
Tyler Allgeier

Atlanta Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier continued his improbable run of scoring a touchdown on limited production last week, rushing just eight times for 20 yards (2.5 yards per carry), but found the end zone for the eighth time this season. His eight touchdowns are a team-high total, and he'll get a chance to keep it rolling in Week 14 against the Seahawks. It will be tough sledding, though, against a Seattle defense that has yielded the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs this season, which is a result of an 88.8 opponent rush yards per game average and 3.8 yards per attempt, both the second-lowest marks in the league. Still, Allgeier has managed to defy the odds to this point given his modest output, so he's as good a dice roll as any out there for fantasy managers in need of an RB3/Flex play this week.

From RotoBaller

Quinshon Judkins Dec 6 11:50am CT
Quinshon Judkins

Across 11 games this season, Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins has recorded 758 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 196 carries. While the 22-year-old hasn't always been particularly efficient as a rusher this season, the Browns continue to lean on him in the run game. Over his last four outings, Judkins is averaging 19.5 carries per contest. Judkins also recorded three catches for 18 yards in Week 13. With primary Browns receiving back Dylan Sampson (calf) questionable to play in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans, Judkins could see more work in the passing game. Tennessee currently ranks 26th among NFL defenses in yards per carry allowed (4.6) and is tied for 29th in rushing touchdowns allowed (17). Judkins should see a heavy workload on Sunday and profiles as a must-start fantasy running back in Week 14.

From RotoBaller

Keaton Mitchell Dec 6 11:40am CT
Keaton Mitchell

Baltimore Ravens running back Keaton Mitchell reached double-digit fantasy points for the first time this season against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 13. He even finished as the RB27 in half-PPR formats, while getting a 13% snap share. Since Justice Hill (neck) remains sidelined, Mitchell has taken over the pass-catching work out of the backfield. He saw three targets and two carries in their previous game, but is still very far behind Derrick Henry. The Pittsburgh Steelers also present a very tough matchup against opposing run games, so Mitchell is projected as the RB42 on RotoBaller's rankings.

From RotoBaller

Shedeur Sanders Dec 6 11:40am CT
Shedeur Sanders

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders will make his third NFL start in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans. The 23-year-old has struggled across three games (two starts) worth of action so far this season, completing 50.8% of his pass attempts for 405 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. On paper, Sanders has a favorable matchup in Week 14 against Tennessee. Entering the week, the Titans rank 31st among NFL defenses in yards per pass attempt allowed (7.9). Still, Sanders is currently averaging just 6.6 yards per pass attempt and has yet to throw more than 25 passes in a game this season. Cleveland could look to lean on its defense and run game to get the win against Tennessee. At best, Sanders profiles as a low-end fantasy QB2 in Week 14 against the Titans.
