Field Level Media

New York Jets standout linebacker Quincy Williams exited Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a left shoulder injury and was later ruled out.

Williams was injured in the final minute of the first half when a Tampa Bay offensive lineman fell on him. He was ruled out in the third quarter.

Williams had four tackles (one for loss) and shared a sack before his departure.

Williams, 29, recorded more than 100 tackles in each of the past four seasons and was first-team All-Pro in 2023.

Player Notes
Jonathan Taylor Sep 21 3:50pm CT
Jonathan Taylor

Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor carried the ball 17 times for 102 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns during Sunday's Week 3 win over the Tennessee Titans. He also caught three of his four targets for an additional 16 yards through the air. Taylor has been one of the NFL's most effective running backs this season, and now, he has turned in one of the most impressive single-game performances of the 2025 campaign. His efficiency, workload, and nose for the end zone make him a high-end RB1 option heading into Week 4 against the Rams.

Noah Fant Sep 21 3:40pm CT
Noah Fant

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Noah Fant (concussion) was diagnosed with a concussion during the fourth quarter of Sunday's Week 3 contest against the Minnesota Vikings. He was one of Jake Browning's favorite targets when he was still healthy, catching all five of the quarterback's passes thrown his way for 26 yards through the air. With the Bengals playing on Monday Night Football in Week 4, Fant will have one extra day to get healthy and clear concussion protocol. He ranks as a low-end TE2 even when healthy.

Tre Tucker Sep 21 3:40pm CT
Tre Tucker

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker caught eight of his nine targets for 145 yards and three touchdowns during Sunday's Week 3 loss to the Washington Commanders. This was one of the best single-game fantasy performances this season, though it was somewhat aided by Las Vegas taking advantage of garbage time. Nevertheless, points are points, and managers who rostered or started Tucker will certainly appreciate his huge outing. While Tucker probably won't replicate his 145-yard, three-score game going forward, he'll still be a riser in the Week 4 fantasy rankings. He's an intriguing waiver wire option with low-end flex appeal ahead of his next game against Chicago.

Ja'Tavion Sanders Sep 21 3:20pm CT
Ja'Tavion Sanders

Carolina Panthers tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders (ankle) exited during the fourth quarter of Sunday's Week 3 contest against the Atlanta Falcons. He was officially listed as questionable and did not return. Carolina won by 30 points as Sanders converted his two targets into two catches for 11 yards through the air. While Sanders isn't a big name in fantasy football, managers should still stay tuned for injury updates, as his status will have a bearing on future volume for players like Tetairoa McMillan and Hunter Renfrow.

Mike Evans Sep 21 3:10pm CT
Mike Evans

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's Week 3 contest against the New York Jets. He exited during the fourth quarter and was initially listed as questionable before quickly being downgraded to out. At the time of his departure, he had caught four of his eight targets for 33 yards and one touchdown. Tampa Bay has plenty of talent on the offensive side of the ball, but Evans is arguably the Bucs' most reliable playmaker, so losing him is a tough blow. Until he can return, Ryan Miller and Sterling Shepard will earn more targets alongside Emeka Egbuka. The team could also get a major boost next week if Chris Godwin (ankle) returns.

Michael Penix Jr. Sep 21 3:10pm CT
Michael Penix Jr.

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. completed just 18 of his 36 pass attempts for 172 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions during Sunday's Week 3 loss to the Carolina Panthers. The Falcons were held scoreless in their ugly divisional loss, prompting the team's coaching staff to replace Penix with veteran Kirk Cousins in the fourth quarter. Cousins completed five of seven passes for 29 yards during his limited action. The quarterback change was likely due to the blowout and not indicative of the Falcons' depth chart moving forward. Still, managers should stay tuned to upcoming depth chart news from Atlanta nonetheless.

Alec Pierce

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce (concussion) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's Week 3 contest against the Tennessee Titans. He exited after an incomplete pass downfield that resulted in Pierce's head violently banging off the turf. The 25-year-old finishes Sunday's game with four receptions for 67 yards through the air. He will now enter concussion protocol, raising immediate concerns about his Week 4 availability. The Colts play against the Los Angeles Rams next Sunday, giving Pierce just one week to recover and clear protocol. Ashton Dulin and Adonai Mitchell should command additional targets behind Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs.

D'Andre Swift Sep 21 2:50pm CT
D'Andre Swift

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (quadriceps) is officially active for Sunday's Week 3 contest against the Dallas Cowboys. He had been listed as questionable but was trending in the right direction ahead of gameday. The veteran running back will play through his injury while leading Chicago's backfield against Dallas. He has delivered very modest production through two weeks, totaling 35 touches, 134 scrimmage yards, one touchdown, and one lost fumble. He ranks as a mid-range RB3/flex in fantasy football.

Terry McLaurin Sep 21 2:40pm CT
Terry McLaurin

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin (quad) exited during the third quarter of Sunday's Week 3 contest against the Las Vegas Raiders. He is officially questionable to return. At the time of his departure, he had caught three of four targets for 74 yards through the air, coming just inches short of a touchdown reception. While McLaurin's production may appear modest, he actually leads the Commanders in targets, receptions, and receiving yards. Washington has been able to run the ball effectively while leading Las Vegas by multiple touchdowns, resulting in a reduced passing workload for Marcus Mariota. Jaylin Lane, Chris Moore, and Luke McCaffrey should earn more targets behind Deebo Samuel Sr. until McLaurin can return.

Dyami Brown Sep 21 2:30pm CT
Dyami Brown

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Dyami Brown (shoulder) exited during the second quarter of Sunday's Week 3 contest against the Houston Texans. He suffered the injury on a reception near the goal line and is officially questionable to return. At the time of his departure, he had caught two of three targets for seven yards through the air. Brown's absence should lead to more opportunities for Tim Patrick and Parker Washington behind Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter.

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Michael Mayer (concussion) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's Week 3 contest against the Washington Commanders. He exited near the end of the first quarter and was taken to the locker room to be evaluated for a concussion before being ruled out. The 24-year-old finishes this week with zero catches on one target. Ian Thomas will now take over as the Raiders' backup tight end behind superstar Brock Bowers.

Cincinnati Bengals running back Samaje Perine (right thumb) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's Week 3 contest against the Minnesota Vikings. He exited the contest late in the second quarter after fumbling the football. Cincinnati initially listed him as questionable before eventually downgrading him to out. He finishes Sunday's game with four carries, 21 rushing yards, four kick returns, 88 return yards, and the fumble. Tahj Brooks will operate as Chase Brown's backup until Perine is healthy again.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba (illness) is officially active for his team's Week 3 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Smith-Njigba was a late addition to the team's injury report heading into Sunday due to an illness, but it appears he'll still be able to suit up. Smith-Njigba has 17 catches for 227 yards on 23 targets through his first two games of 2025. He may see a slightly reduced snap share if he's still under the weather. Still, Smith-Njigba is a must-start fantasy wide receiver in Week 3.

Zach Charbonnet Sep 21 2:00pm CT
Zach Charbonnet

Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet (foot) has officially been ruled out for his team's Week 3 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Charbonnet is the team's leader in rush attempts (27) heading into Week 3. His absence should mean a significant increase in workload for Seattle running back Kenneth Walker III. Walker III has a touchdown and 125 rushing yards so far this season, 105 of which came in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. With Charbonnet officially inactive, Walker III is a must-start fantasy running back in Week 3.
