Veteran wide receiver Amari Cooper is one of the top free agents still available after the NFL draft last week, and NFL.com's Kevin Patra suggests that reuniting with the Dallas Cowboys could be the best fit for him. The five-time Pro Bowler is coming off the worst year of his career in 2024 with the Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills, combining for 44 catches, 547 yards and four touchdowns in 14 total games. He had just 297 yards and two TDs in eight regular-season games with the Bills and averaged just 6.8 yards per catch in three playoff games. The 30-year-old might not be a No. 1 wideout anymore, but he could still have value, and a return to the receiver-needy Cowboys could spark a resurgence. In addition to Dallas, Patra thinks the Arizona Cardinals, New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia Eagles, Las Vegas Raiders, New York Jets and Bills could be potential landing spots for the former first-rounder.

The Philadelphia Eagles signed undrafted rookie free-agent wide receivers Darius Cooper (Tarleton State) and Taylor Morin (Wake Forest), running backs Montrell Johnson (Florida) and Shunderrick Powell (Central Arkansas), linebacker Lance Dixon (Toledo), defensive backs Maxen Hook (Toledo), Brandon Johnson (Oregon), and BJ Mayes (Texas A&M), and offensive lineman (Hollin Pierce (Rutgers) on Friday. Cooper finished second in Division 1 last year with 1,450 receiving yards and sixth in touchdowns with 14. He had 164 catches for 3,185 yards and 29 touchdowns in 48 career games. Johnson will add depth to Philly's backfield after rushing for 2,251 yards and 21 TDs in his three seasons with the Gators. Morin was Wake Forest's all-time leading receiver with 2,974 yards. He also finished second all-time in school history in catches (227) and fourth in touchdowns (21).

Seattle Seahawks rookie tight end Elijah Arroyo (knee) said that the knee injury that slowed him down during the pre-draft process is behind him. Arroyo didn't run the 40-yard dash at the scouting combine in February or at his Pro Day due to his knee injury, but the Seahawks estimated that the 6-foot-5, 254-pounder would run a 4.52-second 40 based on his GPS speeds. Despite his knee issue, the Seahawks selected the 22-year-old former Miami product in the second round (50th overall) in last week's draft. Seattle still has Noah Fant, who caught 48 passes for 500 yards and a touchdown on 64 targets in 14 games in 2024, but Arroyo has a shot to carve out a significant role in his rookie season, especially as a red-zone target for quarterback Sam Darnold. Arroyo can probably be ignored in standard redraft leagues this fall but will be an intriguing dynasty/keeper prospect long-term.

Philadelphia Eagles rookie first-round linebacker Jihaad Campbell (shoulder) was not participating in the team's rookie minicamp on Friday while he recovers from offseason shoulder surgery. It's no surprise that Campbell isn't ready to take part in on-field work after he tore his labrum and had surgery in March. The defending Super Bowl champions have no reason to rush Campbell along as he gets ready for his first season in the NFL. However, as long as the 21-year-old doesn't suffer a setback during his recovery, he could be ready to go for the start of training camp at the end of July. The Eagles haven't put a timeline on the 31st overall pick in last week's NFL draft. When the Eagles broke off to position drills on Friday, Campbell went with the off-ball linebackers, which means he may not be viewed as a pure pass-rusher just yet.

Cleveland Browns rookie running back Jerome Ford agreed to a pay cut with the team on Friday, reducing his 2025 salary from $3.486 million to a guaranteed $1.75 million, a league source told The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot. It means that free-agent RB Nick Chubb will likely not be re-signing with the Browns this offseason. The move to reduce Ford's salary comes after the Browns selected former Ohio State RB Quinshon Judkins with the 33rd overall pick in last week's NFL draft. Cleveland also added to the RB room and took former Tennessee rusher Dylan Sampson at No. 126 overall. Ford, a fifth-rounder in 2022, led the team with 565 yards on 104 carries (5.4 yards per carry) and three touchdowns with Chubb coming off a serious knee injury in 2023. The 25-year-old Ford is technically still atop the team's RB depth chart, but his reduction in pay is a clear sign that Judkins will have the opportunity to become the RB1 sooner than later in 2025.

Per Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, wide receiver Christian Watson (knee) is doing well in his recovery from a torn right ACL that he suffered in early January of this year. "He's been outstanding. Great attitude and he's working hard. That's all you can ask of anybody," LaFleur said. It's good to hear that Watson's attitude has been great during a grueling rehab, but he's still probably unlikely to be ready for the start of the 2025 regular season this fall. The 25-year-old's serious knee injury is part of the reason the Packers broke their long run of taking a wideout in the first round when they selected former Texas pass-catcher Matthew Golden with the 23rd overall pick. Green Bay doubled down on receiver depth and took Savion Williams in the third round. Not only will Watson potentially miss half the season, but the Packers' wideout room just became a lot more crowded.

"I just know we're trying to work through it," LaFleur said. Alexander took part in the team's remote sessions last week, but it's not a big surprise that he's not doing any physical activities yet after having offseason surgery to fix a PCL tear in his right knee. Although it's unclear if the veteran defensive back will even be back in Green Bay for the 2025 season, a report surfaced earlier this week that the two sides continue to discuss a resolution to keep him in town. Alexander has $24.6 million and $27 million salary cap hits over the next two seasons, which is likely why he hasn't been traded. The former 18th overall pick in 2018 out of Louisville is a two-time Pro Bowler but has played in just 14 games the last two seasons due to injuries.

The San Francisco 49ers have agreed to a one-year contract with former Atlanta Falcons tight end Ross Dwelley. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the news, but did not disclose the monetary details. The 30-year-old spent his first seven campaigns in the league with San Francisco and will return after a one-year stint with the Falcons. Dwelley appeared in all 17 games last season, but he played only 105 snaps (9.19%) -- snagging his only target for a gain of five yards. He did most of his damage -- snap-wise -- on special teams, but was still only on the field roughly a third of the time (37.22% of snaps). It's possible the 49ers brought him on due to his familiarity with their system, but he doesn't project to make an impact in the receiving column. He'll serve as a depth piece for the organization.

Former Oklahoma State linebacker Collin Oliver has signed a four-year, $4.6 million deal with the Green Bay Packers. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the news. The Oklahoma City native was chosen with the No. 159 overall pick in April's draft. Oliver didn't miss a game throughout his first three seasons as a Cowboy and started all 14 games as a Junior, notching 73 tackles, six sacks, 15.5 tackles for loss, and four forced fumbles. However, he'd start just two games in 2024 after suffering a right foot injury. He spent only two years at linebacker in college, as he converted from defensive end after his first two campaigns, so there's some pass-rush intrigue here, as he recorded 11.5 sacks in 14 games in his true freshman season (one start). Oliver lacks the length and size to handle edge duties full time, but he could be an impact rotational player if he puts his foot issues behind him.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, former Georgia Bulldog linebacker Smael Mondon Jr. signed a four-year, $4.595 million deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. Philadelphia selected the Georgia native in the fifth round of last month's draft, though he was initially projected as a third-round talent. A five-star recruit out of high school, he was a three-year starter at Georgia, but saw his draft stock decline as injuries have become an issue for him. After missing three games over his sophomore and junior seasons, the 22-year-old sat out four contests in his final campaign with a leg injury and underwent surgery on a stress fracture in his foot this spring. Mondon Jr. has the athleticism and football IQ to stick on the Eagles' defense, and he fortunately won't be expected to step into a starting role right away. He was the second of three linebackers Philly drafted in April, joining first-round pick Jihaad Campbell and sixth-round selection Antwaun Powell-Ryland.

New Carolina Panthers wide receiver Hunter Renfrow didn't play at all in 2024 after being released by the Las Vegas Raiders while being treated for ulcerative colitis, which caused him to drop from 185 pounds to 150 pounds. Renfrow had a stretch of seven straight days with a fever of 103 degrees, and the 29-year-old wondered if he'd ever play football again after disappointing seasons in both 2022 and 2023. He made the Pro Bowl in 2021 by catching a career-high 103 passes for 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns but took a month off after the Pro Bowl because he felt "kind of tired." The Dallas Cowboys signed rookie first-round offensive lineman Tyler Booker to a four-year, $22.553 million deal on Friday that includes a signing bonus of $13 million, sources tell ESPN's Todd Archer. Only second-rounder Donovan Ezeiruaku and fifth-rounder Jaydon Blue remain unsigned for the Cowboys with their rookie camp starting on Friday. Dallas selected the 21-year-old Booker out of Alabama with the 12th overall pick in last week's NFL draft. Carolina Panthers veteran wide receiver Adam Thielen said that he talked with his family, and they wanted him to play in 2025. He plans to go through a similar process after this season, which is the final year of his contract. Depending on how the 34-year-old feels and what his family thinks after the 2025 campaign, Thielen could hang up his cleats and retire. He's returning for a third season in Carolina after playing in a career-low 10 games in 2024 due to a hamstring injury. In those 10 games, he caught 48 of his 62 targets for 615 yards and five touchdowns. He should continue to be a trusted weapon for young quarterback Bryce Young out of the slot this year, but the addition of first-round rookie wideout Tetairoa McMillan will surely make Thielen harder to trust as a WR3/flex in fantasy based on volume alone like he was in 2023, when he recorded the third 1,000-yard season of his career on 103 targets.

The Athletic's Dianna Russini reports that she's getting good vibes coming from the Cincinnati Bengals that they are going to try and get a deal done with All-Pro pass-rusher Trey Hendrickson. Some people saw the Bengals' drafting of edge rusher Shemar Stewart in the first round in last week's NFL draft as a sign of the end of the Hendrickson era in Cincinnati, but that might not be the case at all. The Bengals already signed receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins to big extensions this offseason, but Hendrickson is still left out in the cold. The 30-year-old veteran was given permission to seek a trade, but Cincy has been asking for a ton in return, which is why nothing has gone down on that front. If Hendrickson signs an extension with the Bengals, it will likely be a hometown discount. Hendrickson has made the Pro Bowl each of the last four seasons and led the NFL with 17.5 sacks in 2024.

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs (knee) is recovering from surgery in January for a cartilage issue, and owner Jerry Jones said he hopes the 26-year-old defensive back treats his rehab more seriously than he did after he tore his left ACL in Week 3 of the 2023 season. Diggs made it back for the start of the 2024 season, but there were frustrations from the team with how he handled some rehab sessions, and it surprised the team that he left Dallas during his rehab work. He played in 11 games last year before suffering an injury to the same knee and had surgery on Jan. 23 for a chondral tissue graft to fix damaged cartilage. The Cowboys expect Diggs to start training camp on July 21 on the Physically Unable to Perform list. Diggs, a two-time Pro Bowler, had a league-high 11 interceptions in 2021 but has six since in three years.

The Dallas Cowboys chose not to pick up the fifth-year option for the 2026 season of cornerback Kaiir Elam, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. The Cowboys acquired Elam in a trade with the Buffalo Bills this offseason, but now he will become an unrestricted free agent after the 2025 campaign. The Bills drafted the 23-year-old defensive back with the 23rd overall pick in 2022 out of the University of Florida. If Dallas had picked up his fifth-year option, they would have had to pay Elam around $12.7 million in 2026. Elam played in only three games in his second season in Buffalo in 2023 and hasn't played more than 13 games in any of his first year years in the NFL while struggling to secure a starting role. He has just 81 tackles (56 solo), two interceptions, six pass breakups and a fumble recovery in his 29 games (12 starts). Elam will be competing for a spot on Dallas' 53-man roster this summer.

As expected, the Tennessee Titans officially did not pick up the fifth-year option for the 2026 season on wide receiver Treylon Burks (knee). The fifth-year option would have guaranteed Burks $15.493 million for the 2026 season, which is way too much to give a player that has missed significant time due to injury in his first three NFL seasons after he was taken 18th overall in 2022 out of Arkansas. The 25-year-old wideout tore the ACL in his knee in Week 6 of last year, too, and isn't expected to be ready for the start of the 2025 season this fall. Not much should be expected of him when he's able to return this year, especially after Tennessee added veterans Tyler Lockett and Van Jefferson in free agency this offseason. It 27 total games played (17 starts) over three seasons, Burks has just 53 catches on 92 targets for 699 yards and only one touchdown. He'll be an unrestricted free agent after the 2025 season.

ESPN's Rob Demovsky reports that the Green Bay Packers aren't picking up the fifth-year option for the 2026 season on linebacker Quay Walker. However, general manager Brian Gutekunst said earlier this offseason that the Packers would like to sign him to a contract extension before the 2025 season starts. The 24-year-old remains in the team's long-term plans after recording 100-plus total tackles in all three of his NFL seasons. Walker was selected 22nd overall by Green Bay in 2022 out of Georgia, and he's contributed 341 total tackles (206 solo), 6.5 sacks, 21 tackles for loss, 12 QB hits, an interception returned for a touchdown, 12 pass breakups, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 44 regular-season games (43 starts). He played in a career-low 13 games in 2024 due to an ankle injury that cost him the final three regular-season games, but he returned to play in the wild-card loss to the Eagles.

Free-agent RB Nick Chubb (Browns) is still very much wanted by the Cleveland Browns, but the Chicago Bears are reportedly serious about signing him as well, according to Ken Carman of 92.3 The Fan. 'The Browns want to bring Nick Chubb back. They are trying hard to bring Nick back. I know this. The Bears are very serious about bringing him in and are trying to make this push,' Carman said.

Fantasy Spin: A return to the Browns seems unlikely only because they drafted two running backs in the first four rounds last weekend. Their quarterback situation is also in flux, which makes it unlikely they will contend for anything meaningful over the next year or two. Conversely, the Bears appear to be an ascending team with a much-improved offensive line and a need for an early-down back. Assuming Chubb is motivated by playing for a contender in a good offense, signing with Chicago appears to be an easy decision. Assuming he decides on the Bears, Chubb would have fantasy RB3 appeal.
